Charge to credit card in $US
I made a call to the local Reservation Office on a Trinidad and Tobago telephone number (625 7200).
I then paid for a flight to Antigua using my Republic Bank Credit Card. I was later shocked to see that the charge to my card was in $US and not in $TT.
Republic Bank Credit cards allow charges to be posted either in $TT or on the $US account. Other cards would have posted in TT at the conversion rate applied by the airline.
This now means that I have to settle the card and incur both additional exchange rate charges again, and other bank charges.
I fully expected that calling the TT reservation office from my TT number, to be charged in $TT should or least been given the option.
I would like to have the charge reversed and charged to my card in $TT.
I have given no personal details as instructed until I receive a response.
Desired outcome: I would like the $US charge reversed and a $TT charge to be applied instead, and your response.

Baggage lost
My daughter travelled tonight june 29th, 2023 on the last flight at 8.45 pm to Tobago from Trinidad. She is going to island crashers and when she arrived in tobago her suitcase was not there. she has her tickets for island crashers in her suitcase as well as all her brand new clothes and a brand new suitcase. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. You have spoilt her mini vacation after exams. Her friend who is travelling with her got her suitcase but not my daughter.
Desired outcome: her suitcase is found and returned as soon as possible and compensation for her inconvenience.

Booking ID: [protected]
I have booked a team of 5 passengers travelling to the Commonwealth Youth Games in Trinidad & Tobago. The team will be leaving on Tuesday, 1 August and returning on Saturday, 12 August, 2023. At the time of booking I was not allowed to pay for checked luggage. The cost of checked bags was displaying US$50 each way but it did say paying at the airport will cost more. This booking was done with Bravofly, with Caribbean Airlines as the carriers. I am trying to find out what it will cost per checked bag per passenger on the outward and return journey so that our team can travel with sufficient funds.
I am writing on behalf of the Anguilla Commonwealth Games Association and your dropdown menu does not include Anguilla, however the team will be leaving from Sint Maarten.
Kind regards

Tampered luggage / missing items
Hi Good day, I travelled with CAL from POS Trinidad to Miami International on June 17, BW484.
Everything seemed to have gone smoothly up until I checked into my hotel around 5pm on that same afternoon and as I opened my luggage, I immediately realised it was tampered with.
Inside my luggage contained my carry on which I stored all my essentials. As I opened the luggage, I noticed the carry on was half way opened and one of my packing cubes was thrown out of the carry on into the larger piece. More importantly, a packing cube which contained my shoes, two of which are high end designer shoes and the third being a simple flat slipper is now missing. It would seem when my luggage was opened, it was perhaps raining as Miami is having bad weather and so inside the luggage was also a bit wet. It Is a matching Floral luggage set.
Desired outcome: I would like an immediate Investigation and resolution into this matter.

Change in Flight
Good afternoon Sir/Madame:
I am writing to request a refund for paid travel insurance due to the interruption by your party.
On May 15th, I received an email stating that Caribbean Airlines Canceled my Flight with instructions to call us as soon as possible to find a new flight. To my dismay, this airline canceled my flight and rebooked my family and me to an airport more than three hours away.
I immediately contacted Caribbean Airlines and expressed my concerns regarding unexpected cancellations to the agent.
Per the agent, I was entitled to a refund.
Upon checking my statements, Caribbean Airlines should have reimbursed me for travel insurance from Jamaica to New York.
As an airline carrier, I understand you are entitled to make changes, but the changes should not be at the expense of the consumer.
Thank you for your time, and I anticipate a response.
Desired outcome: Refund in travel insurance- Jamaica to New York As new travel insurance needs to be purchased.

my checking in experience BW 520 Sunday June 4th - departing 12:10AM Piarco Ticket # [protected] Sequence #0158
June 9, 2023
To Whom It May Concern
My name is Nancy Murray , I am a frequent flyer with Caribbean Airlines – my FF# [protected].
I travelled with your airline on Sunday June 4th , flight #BW520 from Port of Spain to JFK.
When I checked in – the clerk at the counter – a young gentleman mentioned to me that I was selected for additional security check , so I ask him why and he said to me “ Because you look like a Terrorist”.
I was taken aback to say the least – if it was meant as a joke it was in ABSOULUTE POOR TASTE – because if the situation was reversed I would be LOCKED UP and CHARGED and put on a NO FLY LIST and other implication’s would apply as your company is well aware of.
I was extremely UPSET to be spoken to like that and the baggage handle who was within earshot was also surprised and shocked and he told me “Sorry”. This kind of behavior is not right and no one should be spoken to like that.
This was a midnight flight – I did mention this matter to two screening personnel upstairs – one asked if I spoke to the manager in charge – I did not.
I have no problem being searched - I have been a few times - no problem - I travel often and I respect that the airlines are doing their job in spot checking. I resent being told that I look like a Terrorist!
We live in a very fragile world right now and this is not acceptable. I am scheduled to travel again with your airline on August 10th 2023 – I cannot cancel and rebook with JetBlue – but it makes me anxious to travel with your airline , an airline that I always use – if you look at my flying record with your company – you will see how often I choose you over Jet Blue.
Respectfully
Nancy Murray.
Desired outcome: I do not know - I have no idea how to resolve this matter.

Incorrect information provided
I have been getting a run around from Caribbean Airlines since April. To date no one is taking my query nor report seriously and not one phone call to date. Calls to their 669-3000 number goes unanswered since April also. Please help.
This is my third report on this site but nothing has been done nor resolved to date. Caribbean Airlines is the worst. They're not being honest nor truthful with customers just robbing people.
Desired outcome: I want my ticket revalidated
To date no one has contacted me with regard to my query. A refund was issued on my ticket without my consent and no one seems to want to deal with the situation. I was given this new reference number 33HIHK, however all calls and emails go unanswered since April. Caribbean Airlines service is horrendous. All I want is to have a conversation with someone who can assist with this ongoing situation since April. We're in June. This is my third report here, they post an apology and some one would contact me but no one has. I also been calling still everyday and no one answers up to today 9/6/2023 up to 10:10am
My matter has not been resolved with Caribbean Airlines, however I received an email from you stating it was.
Caribbean Airlines is more interested in keeping half of US$348.50 than helping a customer. The last person I spoke with was Danielle on 9th June, 2023 who kept telling me that I am trying to blame them for what happened and they cannot help me.
This is the same Danielle who I explained what happened from the beginning and she gave me a new reference number.
I really need your assistance please because Caribbean Airlines is making this matter person by using words like blame instead of helping me.

Failure to issue refund for Ticket for my mother due to my sister's death
Please find attached the Death Certificate for my sister Jasodia Kaiser. My mother Rookmin Ramroop was supposed to travel to Trinidad on 29-Feb-2023, but unfortunately my sister passed away on 13-Feb-2023 and Caribbean airlines informed me that they have no seats available for her to travel to Trinidad for the funeral.
They told me that if she gets another flight to Trinidad to attend the funeral they will give me a full refund upon receipt of the Death Certificate. She went to Trinidad via Houston with United Airlines.
I am hereby requesting cancellation of her Ticket Reference #3PD3R4 and would like to get a full refund ASAP. Please send me confirmation of the cancellation.

Previous matter never rectified to date
To date no one at Caribbean Airlines contacted me although they claimed that they would since 5th May, 2023. I believe they are the worst Airline to do business with, there service is extremely horrendous and they're dishonest. I was given conflicting information by their employee about my ticket and now I am out of pocket almost Four Hundred US dollars and no one cares. Please please help. You closed my matter resolved but it never was.
Desired outcome: Honour my ticket and revalidate. I would also like an honest apology, not one posted for publicity reasons.
To Date my matter has not been resolved Caribbean Airlines. I keep getting incorrect information and constant run around from your staff.
Caribbean Airlines is the worst Airline to do business with. They are robbing people.

Theft
On Tuesday May 9th 2023 I Naomi Wint was a passenger on a flight from Piarco International Airport to Miami International on Aircraft Boeing 737 Max 8. I was seated at seat 17Aa. The flight departed Piarco at 9:10 and we arrived in Miami at 1:10. During the four hours of flight time I got up to use the rest room once. The passenger seated at seat 15A also left to use the rest room during this time, left passenger 16A alone in this row. I spent less than 5 minutes in rest room. However, upon reaching Miami and departing the Aircraft, I realized that all the money I had in my bag ($1200 USD) that was left below my seat when I went to use the rest room was missing. I would like to know if there is a way to get in contact with the passenger that was seated at seat 16A on this flight, as a way to recover my money that was stolen. Thank you in advance!
Desired outcome: I would like to get in contact with the passenger from seat 16A to have my money that was stolen returned.(Security Cameras checked)

No compensation money received for Flight BW607 flight delay, Feb 4th, 2023, over 7 hours.
Dear Caribbean Airlines Complaint Department:
It has been three months now since my flight issue. I was told that I was going to be compensated for my flight BW607 delay for over seven hours to Guyana from Toronto on the 4th of February, 2023. I filled out the necessary forms online and the case was handled by: Leanna Balkaran-Parmashwar, Customer Experience Department, Caribbean Airlines Limited, Iere House, Golden Grove Road, Piarco, TRINIDAD W.I. Telephone: + [protected] ext. 2424, Fax: +[protected]. On February, 28th, 2023, on an email we agreed a "settlement cheque" will be issued to me to my address in Toronto.
I enquired on April 29th on an email to find out about my cheque since it has been six weeks and her response on May 3rd, 2023 was:
Leanna Balkaran-Parmashwar
To: [protected]@yahoo.com
Wed, May 3 at 2:00 p.m.
Dear Mr. Husein,
We wish to advise the cheque was issued to the permanent mailing address provided.
In this regard your file is now closed.
Kind regards,
Customer Experience Department
Caribbean Airlines Limited, Iere House
Golden Grove Road, Piarco,
My response was on May 4th was:
Dear Leanna,
No disrespect intended but...
I need more information than that. When was the cheque issued, when was it mailed or couriered and what address did you send it? Should I expect it any moment now? I have not received any cheque as yet and therefore it has not been cashed, so how can the file be closed?
I await your response.
Thank you,
Sheik Husein.
She has not responded since. so I would like to know what you can do about finding out if she actually sent me a cheque. It's kind of unprofessional the way she responded by saying the file is now closed, plus, she has not responded since the 4th of May. I subsequently sent another email to her that I would go to the Canadian Transportation Agency if this is not resolved.
Thanks for reading all this but it's for clarification. Reference Claim #: [protected].
Sincerely,
Sheik Husein

Flight complaint
For more than twenty years, I have been a member of the Caribbean Miles Reward Programme, member number [protected]. On Tuesday 11, 2023 I purchased a ticket for travel to Trinidad and Tobago using 15,000 miles and a payment USD 106.70. This ticket required travel on from Grantley Adamas Barbados to Piarco Airport Port of Spain on April 25, 2023 via BW445 departing at 5.15am.
On April 24, 2023, the day prior to departure, I received an email notice for check-in and responded to the request for electronic check-in. A copy of this correspondence is attached. Unfortunately, an electronic Boarding Pass was not generated and I was not aware this had to be done, since my last flight on Caribbean Airlines (CAL) prior to the pandemic was January 2020. When I reached Grantley Adamas Airport at 430am on the morning of Aprill 25, 2023, the counter had no agents present and I was told it was closed. Since there was no checked luggage, I then proceeded to the airport security counter, where a Boarding Pass was required, but unfortunately I did not have one generated. The security staff then proceeded to assist and contacted CAL ground staff to obtain guidance and a Boarding Pass. While waiting, I also tried to generate a boarding pass electronically, but was unsuccessful. I was therefore denied travel on this flight and was advised by airport security that the message from CAL was that I should go to the CAL counter when it reopened which was around 6.35am. In speaking with a CAL agent around 6.45am, I made it clear that travel to Trinidad on April 25, 2023 was absolutely essential, as I had to undertake a test on the morning of April 26, 2023. During our conversation CAL’s agent seemed unwilling to speak to my circumstances, and he did not apologise for my unfortunate circumstances, but however indicated that he would place me on the BW217 flight departing Barbados on the same day April 25, 2023 at 5.20pm. His advice was that I contact CAL office at 8.00am, which was more than three hours after this ordeal.
When I eventually made contact with an agent from CAL’s office after 8.15am, after holding on for an unreasonable period of time, I was advised that by not boarding the BW445 flight I had automatically cancelled my return flight BW448 on April 26, 2023. I was then informed that at that point, I could no longer get on to this flight BW448 with a miles ticket and would be required to purchase a new ticket for departure on the morning of April 27, 2023 flight BW402 at a cost of USD282.90. This purchase by credit card was made at 8.52am on the April 25, 2023, to secure a return flight, after an extensive telephone call on my cell phone. The agent also consented to waitlist me on the BW448 flight of April 26, 2023 departing at 21.00 hours, but never indicated that I would have to pay, if I was successful in getting on to this flight. She also promised to contact me and provide an update as to whether I could get on to the flight, but this follow-up never took place. Please note that this was same flight that my return was automatically cancelled in the system.
Following completion of my test and having received no call from CAL at around 16.00 hours, I again contacted CAL’s office to ascertain whether I would be accommodated on the BW448 flight and was advised that a vacant seat was on this flight, but I would have to pay a fee of USD 275.00. Since I desperately wanted to be back in Barbados based on my original flight schedule and not wanting to incur added accommodation costs, I decided to purchase the ticket of which an amount of BBD246.36 was charged to my credit card following completion of the transaction at 16.15 hours. Please not that on the previous day I could not be accommodated on this flight, but at 16.15 hours on April 26, 2023, some 5 hours prior to flight departure, I could be accommodated on the same flight, but with a further payment. Arising from this ordeal, I ended up having to incur additional expenses totalling USD 305 in an effort to obtain a return flight from Trinidad and Tobago to Barbados, much to my displeasure. I consider this experience not only traumatic but felt deceived. I am still unclear as to what will happen to my payment of USD 282.90 to purchase a ticket for departure on April 27, 2023, that was done in desperation with my back to the wall. Further, I need to be advised as to what portion of my miles will be credited.
Desired outcome: As can be gleaned from this correspondence, I am deeply hurt and upset by this incredible ordeal. As a consequence, I am seeking your intervention to have some portion of my added cost of USD304.00 refunded.
