What should have been a 7 day process turned into 15 days of stress and numerous documents. I am a disabled veteran with one leg and 65 years old.

My true debt to income ratio is 32%. CapFed reported 43%. Their calculations included my utility bills, phone, streaming services. THIS IS WRONG!

The Loan Processor and the Underwriter need educated on what Debt to Income ratio is. Banking Standards include Mortgage or Rent, Installment Loans, Alimony/Child Support, Credit Card Debt, and Student Loans. No where does it include day to day expenses.

CapFed approved my loan but with conditions. They wanted me to pay off both my vehicles and the student loan before they would close. That totaled over $62,000 that I would have to pay before receiving the loan. This is where it gets shaky, They said it was because my ratio was 43% after they wrongly included credit card debt which was zero for me but reported differently on the Credit Report [;us they reported utilities, phone bill etc. that caused my ratio to go to 43% from 33%

I was borrowing $300,000 against a house appraised for $515,000 with $190,000 down + closing costs (38.7%). In addition, my before tax income as reported on my taxes was $191,000.

I could well afford the house but CapFed was intending not to loan the money even with 40% equity against the loan.

I am currently believing that CapFed was being choosy about who they loaned to. I also believe that because I was an Amputee and 65 years old that was factor. I went to another lender Cardinal Financial and believe it or not they approved my loan in 4 days with minimal hassle.

I wanna give this place a big fat zero stars. I cashed a check and they said they gave me too much money. I asked to see the camera footage but they said no can do. Now they're treating me like a crook and won't let me close my account. I shoulda counted the cash but I didn't. I'm super mad about how they're handling this and when I asked to talk to the big bosses, they said they're not around.

I been tryin' for months to use Capitol Federal online bankin'. I can't get in. I call and they give me suggestions and I just can't get in. I got a mortgage with them and there ain't no branch where I can get help. I need help but I can't get it. It's the worst online bankin' I ever seen.

I went to Capitol Federal to deposit some cash and got a receipt with the wrong balance. The people working there made a mistake. I called the cops and they said if I called again they'd take my phone and put me in jail. They also sent me a bank card without a chip reader. They said they were closing my account on October 30th and sending me a check, but I haven't gotten it yet and it's November 6th.
