Talbots Disappointing Experience at Talbots

As a potential customer looking to shop at Talbots, I must share my disappointing experience based on reviews from other customers. The general sentiment from various platforms like Sitejabber and Trustpilot is overwhelmingly negative, with customers expressing dissatisfaction with the quality of service, customer support, and product delivery. Many customers have highlighted issues such as poor customer service, delayed shipping, and unresponsive support teams. It's disheartening to see loyal customers expressing their frustration and disappointment with the decline in quality and service at Talbots. Considering the numerous negative reviews, it's essential for potential customers to be cautious when considering shopping at Talbots.

Talbots Good quality clothes in Misses sizes 0 & 2!

I shop at Talbots because they sell good quality clothes in smaller sizes. I am a senior woman, not a petite at 5'5", and I keep in shape with a good diet and exercise. It is exceedingly difficult to find Misses pants sizes in 2 or even 0 (if something runs large). Thank you Talbots!

I shopped at Talbots outlet in Bluffton on Thursday. I hope I am writing to the correct place but I had to tell you how GREAT Judy and Shirley were. I did not know how else to do it but they went above and beyond. Please let them know that I appreciate them very, very much.

Talbots Buying Talbots since 2006

I still have clothing from my first purchase at Talbots in 2006. I have not had any issues with the quality. The leather handbags are on par with Coach and last. I am still using the bags I bought in 2007. I have never had an issue with shipment, customer service, quality, or credit card transactions. The only comment I have is buying 100 percent natural fibers because of pilling-this is due to the natural fiber and not quality. I do not have time to shave my clothes. I am impressed with the shoes, they are very well made and they tend to last.

Talbots Shopping Experience

My shopping experience on Nov. 30th at the Wayzata Mn store was a lot of fun. All seemed to be in the happy holiday spirit. They were very busy while I was there, however, I received the usual individual attention that I enjoy when they are not busy.
Almost every associate greeted me at one time or another whileI was in the store. The names I rcall are Mimi, Toni, Mary and Michelle.
The jacket I wanted was not in the store but they were happy to order it on line.
I also enjoyed the treats.
Another happy shopping experience at Talbots. Thank you.

Talbots A sales person in your store 262

I was looking for a pair of Ivory hampshirew pants in size 12 petite, and the associate Jean in Garden City Cranston checked multiple locations and online and was unsuccessful. She went over and beyond but it was busy and the phones were in use and had to keep waiting for the phone. She told me the above # store had one. I called and caught a woman named Dawn. She also went over and beyond to find these pants. She went into the basement and checked all over the store to find this one pair that she may have had but to no avail. She gave me 5 store numbers to try and on the first try in New York I was successful. This is why I shop at Talbots, the sales people I deal with are pleasant and do go overboard to make the customer happy. A big shout out to Jean and Dawn for their efforts!
Thank you ladies, and Talbots.

Talbots Wonderful service and:clothes' smart advice. 01 July 2023 approx 1pm

Customer service super star is MaryEllen at store 4417. She not only knew her clothing smarts but was truly customer focused. She knew how not to be nosy but still offer advice almost as a of she had known us and what looked best on us. NOT to just make sales but to have happy, good looking customers. She is a true asset. P.s.- she ended up with more than $250.00 sales for her store and that was after the sales pricings.!
She is a 5 plus star totally unlike her counterpart working the same time at Black and White. That lady was bossy and overwhelming. Not only that but had a "she knows best" attitude. Would even interrupt our conversations to let us know she knew more than we did.
MaryEllen is a perfect teacher for the sales people in the Talbot family. Which of course includes Chicos.
Judy aka Koala Lady
Proof of purchase trans 4971 but big buyer friend.I dont have her proof with me.

Talbots Talbots Disappoints Canadian Customers with Hidden Fees and Poor Customer Service

I'm from Alberta, Canada and I recently received a coupon/flyer from Talbots offering 25% off and free shipping. I was excited to take advantage of this offer and ordered two sweaters and a scarf from their website. However, I was disappointed to find out that the prices were in US dollars and that the items would be shipped from the US. To make matters worse, I was hit with a bill from FedEx for $44 in customs and taxes.

When I called Talbots customer service to inquire about this, the representative told me that it was clearly stated on the invoice and website that I would be responsible for any customs/duty/excise taxes. However, I had my paperwork in front of me and I couldn't find any mention of this. The representative then told me that I could return the items to my local Canadian Talbots and they would reimburse the FedEx bill or send me a cheque. I was shocked that they had a procedure in place for this and that other Canadians had experienced the same issue.

I decided to call my local Canadian Talbots to confirm if this was a common issue and unfortunately, it was. In the end, what I thought was a bill for $142 turned into $227.67 plus the time I spent dealing with this issue. I was extremely disappointed with Talbots and I will never order from them again.

Overall, I think Talbots needs to be more transparent about their pricing and shipping policies for Canadian customers. It's not fair to surprise customers with unexpected fees and then have a procedure in place to deal with it. I hope they take steps to improve their customer service for Canadian customers in the future.

Talbots Talbots: Clothes that Fit and Flatter for the Over 35 Crowd

I gotta say, I've been pretty happy with Talbots. Yeah, they might be a little pricey, but it's worth it to have clothes that actually fit regular folks like me. I usually wait for one of their red tag clearance sales to snag some deals. I've given up on all those fancy-pants designer brands because their styles just don't work for most people. Let's be real, only like a quarter of the population can actually rock those looks.

Working in retail has shown me that most people don't wear clothes that flatter them. I've seen way too many butts and way too many ladies wearing bikini tops that just don't fit their bodies. Come on, ladies, think before you dress! If something fits, ask yourself if it actually looks good on you. I've noticed that a lot of women wear clothes that just aren't doing them any favors.

Personally, I hate clothes that draw attention to one specific part of the body. And don't even get me started on those hoochie outfits that some women wear. They wonder why they're getting stared at all the time, but it's because they're basically half-naked! And then they act surprised when people are checking out their butts all day. Newsflash, honey, if you're not wearing any underwear and half your butt is hanging out, people are gonna look. It's just disrespectful to society.

Anyway, Talbots is great because their clothes are designed for people over 35. I'm happy to have found a store where I can actually find clothes that fit me well and look decent. It might cost a little more, but it's worth it to feel confident in what I'm wearing.

Talbots Disappointing Experience with Talbots: Backorder Issues and Poor Customer Service

I recently made a purchase on Talbots.com during the Black Friday sale. I was excited to receive my order, which included a black and red pop tartan jacket. However, after waiting for some time, I received an email stating that the jacket was on backorder. I was given the option to wait, which I agreed to each time. However, after several emails and a call to customer service, I was encouraged to cancel my order. The customer representative informed me that the jacket was not available in any of the stores, despite me telling her that I had seen it at the Bellevue Sqr. Store.

I had originally decided to order online because I felt pressured by the store manager to open a Talbots credit card, which I did not want to do. I was belittled as a result, which made me feel uncomfortable. After expressing my concerns to Talbots customer service, I received an email stating that the manufacturer was no longer making the jacket. However, when I visited the Bellevue store on December 29th, I saw the jacket that I had wanted, in different sizes, including my size. I was told that it was no longer available, which made me feel like I had been lied to by Talbots out of spite for my feedback.

Furthermore, the gloves that I had ordered split between two of the fingers after only wearing them twice. I decided to keep them because it would have cost me money to ship them back. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Talbots. I felt like I was given the runaround with the backordered jacket and that I was not given the opportunity to purchase it at the Black Friday price. The gloves were also a letdown, as they did not hold up after only two wears. I hope that Talbots can improve their customer service and quality control in the future.

Talbots Disappointed with Talbots: Poor Quality, Inconvenient Online Shopping, and Frustrating Returns

I used to be a big fan of Talbots clothes, but lately I've noticed a serious decline in the quality of their clothing and the convenience of their online shopping. Unfortunately, I was given an expensive gift card for Christmas, and I decided to use it to buy an okay dress and some shoes to go with it online since many of the items I wanted weren't available locally.

I received an online confirmation of my order, and four days later, I got a statement saying that both items had been shipped. However, two days after that, I received another notice saying that they didn't have the dress I ordered, but the shoes were on their way. I was disappointed that the gift card wasn't credited, and they said they sent me a merchandise card for the returned amount. They apologized for deducting the amount from my card without having the merchandise. It's been over eight days, and I still haven't received the card or the credit that I already paid for.

I'm returning the shoes, and they're giving me another merchandise credit card because they won't reload the gift card. Since many of their items are online and not available near me, I'm limited in what I would dare buy from them sight unseen. The merchandise is often poorly constructed, and the materials are of low quality, and the fit varies. Returns will only result in another merchandise card, which is frustrating.

To make matters worse, there is NO market for Talbots cards on the gift card exchange. I may return it to the giver and say, "thank you, you enjoy it." Overall, I'm disappointed with my experience with Talbots, and I don't think I'll be shopping there again anytime soon.

Talbots Poor Customer Service at Talbots Store in South Windsor CT

My hubby went to Talbots store in South Windsor CT to get me a Christmas gift. He knew the skirt I wanted but needed some help picking out a sweater to complete the outfit. Unfortunately, the salesperson treated him very rudely. She rolled her eyes and sighed loudly when he asked for help finding a sweater, and he got the impression that she was very annoyed with him. He felt embarrassed to be there. My hubby is a very kind and sweet man who never complains about people and always sees the best in others. It must have been pretty bad for him to not have any positive thing to say. When he came home and told me how embarrassed he was, I was appalled and hurt on his behalf. His actual words were, "I see what you mean about that store."

There have been many times I have been treated in a condescending manner at that store, or have felt that they just didn't have time for me. My hubby was actually prepared to buy several things, but left with only the skirt. The salesperson did not even look at or speak to him while ringing up the sale but was talking with other salespeople. She handed him the bag without looking at him or saying thank you or goodbye, and then she walked away. I have often left this store thinking that I will not go back, but because it's the closest one to me, I eventually do return. I now think it may be worth it to drive further away in the hope of being treated more respectfully.

In fairness, I would like to say that there was a day when my birthday discount was honored even though it was 1 day late. I so appreciated that grace. However, it is unfortunate that this one positive experience was overshadowed by the many negative ones. It is important for businesses to treat their customers with respect and kindness, and it seems that this particular Talbots store is lacking in that area. It is a shame because Talbots has a reputation for quality clothing and classic styles, but if the customer service is lacking, it may not be worth it to shop there.

Overall, my experience with Talbots has been mixed. While I appreciate the quality of their clothing and the classic styles they offer, the customer service at the South Windsor CT store leaves much to be desired. It is important for businesses to treat their customers with respect and kindness, and I hope that Talbots takes steps to improve the customer service at this particular location. Until then, I may have to look elsewhere for my clothing needs.

Talbots Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Talbots: Unwilling to Help Find a Solution

I gotta say, I'm pretty bummed out about my experience with Talbots today. I got an email saying that my order couldn't be fulfilled because of a sudden surge in demand, so I called up customer service to try and find an alternative. I was looking for a pair of PA*** shoes in indigo blue, size ten. I wanted to try ordering a 9 1/2 in the same color, just in case it fit better, and also a size ten in the color sand. I also had two other pairs of shoes in my order.

But when I talked to Whitney and Lance, they weren't willing to help me out at all. They wouldn't honor the price I paid for both pairs of shoes, even though it was Talbots' mistake that caused the problem in the first place. If I had known my size wasn't available when I placed my order, I would have done things differently. But they didn't want to hear it, and they wouldn't work with me to find a solution.

It's pretty ironic that Talbots' website says "Providing exceptional service is our priority" and "It really is all about you," because that's definitely not how I felt. The reps were short and unfriendly, and I was so frustrated that I ended up canceling my whole order. I'm 37 years old, and I can tell you right now that I won't be ordering from Talbots again. And I'll be sure to tell all my friends and family about the terrible service I got.

Talbots Talbots: Needs Improvement in Return and Inventory System

Talbots is a store that I have been shopping at for a while now, but I have noticed some issues with their return and inventory system. As someone who works as a Process Manager for a fortune 50 company, I can see that if Talbots doesn't improve soon, they may have to close their doors.

I recently purchased two shirts online at 70% off, but when I received them, they were too big. I went to the store to exchange them, but they were out of stock, so I had to order them online again. This ended up costing me an extra $6.00, and I lost my 70% off sale and my 10% off birthday discount. It took me 37 minutes in the store to get this sorted out, and I was not happy about it. When I called customer service, they would not refund me the difference.

There are several major flaws with Talbots that need to be addressed. For example, I don't want to use credit cards to get free shipping, and I don't understand why they can't offer in-store pick up. It would be more cost-effective for them to do this, and it would save me time. Also, why can't they do an even exchange instead of refunding and repurchasing? This is just inefficient.

Another issue I have with Talbots is that they don't offer the same lower cost for a return item if the item costs more today. This feels like a bait and switch to me. The checkout process is also slow, and there are too many chatty old ladies working there.

Overall, I think Talbots needs to become more fluent, nimble, and competitive in their return and inventory system. They need to stop running their brick and mortar stores as individual businesses and start working together as a team. If they don't make these changes soon, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I will be sticking with Macy's and Amazon Basics line from now on.

Talbots Disappointed and Embarrassed: My Recent Experience at Talbots

I've been shopping at Talbots for a long time now, around 20 years, and I've always been a big fan of their clothing. I've spent a lot of money on their merchandise over the years, and I've even recommended the store to my family and friends. However, my recent experience at the store has left me feeling disappointed and embarrassed.

I had to return a few items that I had purchased on sale, but I made the mistake of removing the tags before returning them. When I went to the store to return the items, the first employee who assisted me was not very friendly. She seemed annoyed and rolled her eyes when I explained the situation. She told me that she couldn't do anything without the tags and had to get the manager.

When the manager finally came out, she was not much better. She told me in front of everyone in the store that I would be getting "the speech." She explained that once the tags are removed, the items are no longer returnable. I had no idea about this policy, and I felt embarrassed and foolish. The manager then said that she would make an "exception" this one time, but that it would be recorded on my "profile." I felt like I was being punished for making an honest mistake.

While they were processing the return, I decided to put back the clothes that I had intended to buy that day. I was so embarrassed that I went out to my car and cried. I felt like I had lost an old friend.

I don't understand why Talbots would treat a loyal customer this way over a few items without tags. Is it really worth losing a good customer over something like this? I feel like the store no longer cares about its customers. I've paid off my Talbots credit card, and I won't be returning to the store. It's a shame because I used to love shopping there, but now I feel like I can't trust them anymore.

Talbots Talbots: From Timeless to Trendy - A Disappointing Shift in Style

Talbots used to be my go-to store for classic clothing, but lately I've noticed that some of their items are no longer timeless. It's a shame because that's what drew me to them in the first place. Nowadays, they seem to be adding too many frills and strange prints to their clothing, which is not my style. When I see peasant skirts and unnecessary fufu on items that I would normally buy, I head straight to Dillard's or Macy's.

Another thing that bothers me about Talbots is their "buy one, get one half off" promotion. As a former teacher, I know that this is just another way of saying that it's only 25% off. And when you consider how expensive their clothing is, 25% off is not much of a discount. They try to make it seem like you're getting a better deal, but my friend's husband who works in advertising says that this is a common gimmick that stores use.

I wish Talbots would go back to clean lines and classic styles that stay in fashion for years to come. They seem to be following trends too closely, which means that you have to keep coming back every year to buy what's "in style." Personally, I prefer to shop at Dillard's, Macy's, and Ann Taylor, where I can find classic pieces like pencil skirts and white silk blouses that are often on sale for 40-50% off. I just Google their sites and search for what I need. For example, I recently found a pair of classic red pumps on a competitor's site for $38 (on sale with a coupon) that were originally $148.00. And they offered free shipping too! The heels were 2 3/4" and made of leather - perfect for me.

I think it's important to shop around and not limit yourself to just one store. Each store has its own strengths. For example, I wish Talbots would add a little spandex (2-3%) to their classic cotton tops to help them hold their shape better. Chico's does this, and their tops last a long time and hold their shape.

As for fashion trends, I don't understand the cold shoulder or drop shoulder looks. They don't flatter most women, in my opinion. And wild prints on leggings make a person look like walking wallpaper, as I overheard some ladies say. I prefer classic styles that never go out of fashion.

In conclusion, while I still shop at Talbots occasionally, I find myself going there less and less. My advice is to never limit yourself to just one store. You never know where you might find exactly what you need. And when it comes to the drop shoulder look, it reminds me of someone in middle school home economics class who had their pattern off. A lady should always look like a lady.

Talbots Disappointing Service and Quality at Talbots: A Customer's Review

I went to Talbots on Saturday and used their "reserve in store" feature to get four items that were showing as in stock in the store I wanted to go to. I got a confirmation email that the reservation request had registered, but I didn't hear anything else from the store. The next day, I decided to call the store to see if they had any updates. The associate I spoke to had no idea what was going on and was very defensive when I read the item numbers to her. She said that if I didn't get a confirmation email that they had the items, I should assume they didn't. I think the store should have entered a response in the system that would trigger an email to the customer. The manager eventually called me back two hours later and told me that two of the items were available. I went to the store on Memorial Day and tried on both items. I ended up buying one of them.

Of the other two items, one was in the store in a different size, but it was so cheesy that I wouldn't have bought it anyway. I did make several additional purchases, but many of the items I tried on were sloppily made. The designs were not centered, and the stripes were not matched. I also asked the manager if it would be possible to search Talbots for a specific sweater that I had found on the selling floor, but in a different size. She said she would be glad to look it up, but when she came back, she told me that it was all sold out in every size. When I got home, I looked it up online, and there was plenty in stock in most sizes, including the size I wanted, so I ordered it online.

I also asked the manager if they had a black pencil skirt, but she said they only had A-line skirts. I made one last tour through the store and found a pencil skirt that fit my needs. It was well made and a good fit.

I have been a long-time customer of Talbots for over 35 years, but I was disappointed with the level of service and the quality of the items in the store. I think Talbots should give us customer service and quality control that we can count on. It shouldn't be so tiresome and frustrating to shop at Talbots.

Talbots Credit Card

I have a Talbots Credit Card which I activated 2/1/2022 I never received a letter saying the card was deactivated. Since I live over one hour from the nearest Talbots, imagine my surprise when my credit card did not work It was not maxed out, (as the clerk suggested.) Paying with cash was the only way I could keep the items I selected. I won't get another credit card from Talbots and I won't be shopping there again. Too far from where I live to chance having the card that doesn't work. I could have purchased many more items since the distance prevents me from more frequent visits.

Desired outcome: Don't expect one.

Talbots Talbots' Online Order Disaster: A Customer's Experience

I been shopping at Talbots for like 20 years now, but I ain't never gonna shop there again. I ordered some stuff online like 2 weeks ago and it still ain't come. Every time I call them, they give me some different story. My order been stuck in Massachusetts at the Fedex Warehouse for like a whole week and they ain't even tell me why. Last time I called, they said it was gonna be transferred to USPS that day, but I called my post office and they ain't got it. Today, I called again and the supervisor was so snotty, I couldn't believe it. She said my package was on a Fedex truck now, but it still ain't gonna be delivered for a few more days. I was already thinking I ain't gonna order online from Talbots no more, but now I ain't gonna shop there at all. I work overseas and I spend like $8000 a year on clothes, but Talbots don't deserve my business or anyone else's.

Talbots Disappointing Experience with Talbots: Poor Quality, Hidden Fees, and Unfair Refund Policy

I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with Talbots. I ordered a couple of items from their website, but unfortunately they didn't fit me quite right. So, I followed their return policy and sent them back within the allotted time frame. But when I contacted them to check on the status of my refund, they told me that I had missed the deadline and could only receive store credit. And get this - the credit was $120 less than what I had originally paid! What a rip off.

But that's not all. I also returned another order for $78, but when I received my refund, it was only $60. Apparently, they charged me $18 for return postage. I mean, come on. How can it cost that much to ship an envelope with a thin cashmere sweater? And to make matters worse, I live in the same state as their warehouse, so there's no way it should have cost that much. They totally ripped me off.

And let's talk about the quality of their clothes. It used to be that you could find some really nice stuff at Talbots, but now? Forget about it. The cashmere is so lightweight that you can practically see through it, and the synthetic fabrics are scratchy and uncomfortable. Plus, their styles are so outdated that they're not even trendy anymore. And don't even get me started on their shoes - they're marked up so high that you can find the same ones on Amazon or Zappo for way less.

After 30 years of shopping at Talbots, I'm officially done with them. I'll use my store credit and then say good riddance.

Talbots Talbots Review: Disappointing Quality and Frumpy Styles

Talbots used to be the go-to place for stylish and quality clothing. Their sweaters were always top-notch, but lately, they've been using a lot of rayon and nylon mixed with the cotton. Even when new, you can see signs of early pilling. It's a real shame because their prints used to be so beautiful, but now they're just dowdy looking. Many of their dresses are made of polyester, and if it weren't for the price tag, I would expect to find them at Target. It's just not worth it when so many of their styles are quite frumpy.

Their shoes are another disappointment. They're cheap quality with a rather high price tag. The only time it's worth shopping there now is when they have their clearance sales, which can be up to 70% off already marked down prices. Even then, you have to be careful because some of the items are just not worth it.

They offer a lot of costume jewelry, but it's not worth the price. $29.99 for a fake pearl wrapped in gold color metal? I would expect to see it at Kohls for $9.99. It's just not worth it.

For the prices Talbots charges, regardless of how nice the store looks or how nicely the clothing is hung on wooden hangers, you would spend your money more wisely by visiting Ann Taylor. They're much more fashionable and have much better quality clothing. It's just not worth it to shop at Talbots anymore.

Talbots Disappointing Customer Service and Quality at Talbots: A Review

I've been shopping at Talbots for more than 15 years, mostly at stores in New England. But lately, I've been really disappointed with the level of customer service both in the store and on the phone. It's been downright atrocious, if you ask me.

Now, I don't blame the store associates for this. They're paid minimum wage, and they're expected to do a lot. They have to reach out to customers and book appointments, wear masks all day during the pandemic (even when customers don't have to), and work less than 8 hours a day. Most of them are really nice people, but they're not being compensated fairly, and that shows on the sales floor.

The phone line associates are even worse. They all seem to have different ideas about how to apply promotions and discounts, and some of them are just plain rude. They don't seem to have very good speaking skills, either. I think they're overworked and underpaid, just like the store associates.

But that's not all. The quality of the products has gone down, and the prices have gone up. And have you seen the interest rate on their credit card? It's almost 30%! That's ridiculous!

And don't even get me started on the clothing line. It seems like they just repeat the same styles year after year. It's really sad, and it makes me wonder if the end is near for Talbots.

And what happened to the "Red Hangar" sale? That used to be a great way to get some good deals, but now it's non-existent. I don't know what's going on at Talbots, but something needs to change.

Talbots Talbots: A Disappointing Decline in Quality and Customer Service

I gotta say, Talbots ain't what it used to be. I remember back in the day when their clothes were top-notch quality. The fabric was thick and durable, the stitching was on point, and the attention to detail was impeccable. But lately, it seems like they've been cutting corners and churning out some real cheap stuff.

I mean, don't even get me started on their knits. I used to love their T-shirts, but now they're so flimsy and misshapen after just a few washes that I can't even wear them out of the house. They're relegated to pajama tops or cleaning rags at this point.

And what's up with their promotions? They send out all these coupons and "gift certificates" in the mail, but they're basically useless. You can only use them on full-price items, which is ridiculous because Talbots is always having some kind of sale. And the dates they're valid for always seem to coincide with the dates when everything is already discounted. What a scam.

I recently got a $20 coupon and used it to buy a sweater online. A week later, I get an email saying the sweater is "not available." So now my $20 is just wasted. When I tried to call customer service to inquire about it, I got a recording saying they were "too busy" and the call disconnected. Real professional, Talbots.

Honestly, I'm done with them. I've been a loyal customer for 30 years, but enough is enough. I'm cutting up my credit card and taking my business elsewhere. Talbots, you've lost a customer for life.

Talbots Review: Talbots Needs to Cater to Older Women's Body Types

Hey, have you seen the changes in the female population lately? There are more and more older women who can't find clothes that fit their shorter, wider bodies. I just got the new Talbots magazine and it's filled with tall, skinny young ladies who look great in their clothes. But let's be real, that age group is getting smaller and smaller. If Talbots took a trip to one of the many assisted living or senior residences, they would see that the women there are unlikely to wear their clothes because they don't fit. It's a shame because family members bring in Talbots clothes for their loved ones, only to have to return them later because they don't fit. It's frustrating for us older ladies who have to keep wearing the same old shrunken and shabby clothes because we can't find anything new that fits. Talbots, please add a new section to your inventory for those of us who need clothes that fit our bodies. We want to look good too!

Talbots Talbots Review: Poor Customer Service and Shipping Issues

I had to wait for what felt like forever to get my credit from Talbots. They finally sent me a shipping label, but I was surprised to find out that I had to pay $8.95 to ship the small item back. And to make matters worse, they deducted that shipping cost from my refund. It took a whopping 20 days for me to get my refund, and when I tried to inquire about it, all I got were automated responses saying that they were experiencing shipping delays.

To add insult to injury, the item I received was deceptively photographed in the online catalog. It looked like it was two pieces, but it turned out to be only one. When I emailed corporate to let them know about the error, I was shocked to find out that I had to pay $17.90 in shipping for a $62.00 item. And even after two more automated emails saying they were experiencing delays, I finally got an email from corporate support saying that they would refund me the return shipping in 5-7 business days.

This means that it will take almost a month from the time I returned the item to get my refund. I wasted so much time dealing with them and trying to get answers. I only got a reply after emailing corporate directly, and even then, I had to wait almost three weeks. The only reason I'm writing this review is to let others know that customer service is not a priority for Talbots. So, buyer beware!

Talbots Talbots Review: Inconvenient Return Process and Shipping Fees

I recently bought some stuff from Talbots using a $20 coupon, and then a few days later, they marked down everything I bought by a lot. So I went back and bought four of the things again at a way lower price. But then I had to go to the store to return the more expensive stuff, and the cashier didn't just scan my receipt like a normal person. She pulled up my whole order history and gave me credit for the cheaper items. I had to tell her to fix it, but even when she scanned the right receipt, the system still showed my whole order history. It was a real pain in the neck! It would be so much better if I could just bring in my receipt and ask for a price adjustment.

Also, I think Talbots should give free shipping to people who have their credit card and spend a certain amount. It's a real hassle to use the red phone, and it would be way easier to just shop from home and get free shipping and returns. They charge so much for a little t-shirt, they could definitely afford to cover the shipping!

Talbots Buyers Beware: Talbots' Unfair Practices and Poor Customer Service

I've been a loyal customer of Talbots for years, but my opinion of them changed a couple of years ago when I ordered a turtleneck from their website. The screen had in small print "No returns", which I didn't notice at the time. I ordered the turtleneck in the same size I had always bought from Talbots, which had always fit, so I didn't think it would be a problem even though I couldn't try it on in advance. When it arrived, I was disappointed to find that it was much too small. I decided to take it back to the store, hoping to exchange it for a larger size. However, the woman behind the counter took one look at it, stuffed it back in the bag, and practically threw it back at me, saying it couldn't be returned. I was shocked and disappointed. Apparently, this company knew that these sweaters ran small, but they wanted to unload them anyway without making the customers aware of that fact.

After this experience, I stopped shopping at Talbots for a long time. However, a few days ago, I decided to give them another chance and ordered a dress online. Unfortunately, it did not fit well, so I returned it a couple of days later. Then, to my surprise, I got a bill in the mail for the shipping, and I noticed that they were charging sales tax on the shipping. I was not happy about this, and it made me wonder if Talbots was trying to take advantage of their customers.

After two instances of questionable and underhanded practices, I have decided NEVER to shop at Talbots again. It's a shame because I used to love their clothes, but I can't support a company that doesn't treat its customers fairly. If you're thinking about shopping at Talbots, I would advise you to be careful and read the fine print. Buyers beware!

Talbots Disappointing Experience at Talbots Outlet: Rude Staff and Confusing Policies

I was so bummed out after my trip to Talbots at Desert Hills Premium Outlet. I was hoping to return an item I bought online, but it turned out to be a real hassle. Even though I had the receipt, the ladies working there didn't seem to know how to process a refund. They told me they couldn't give me my money back, which was a total bummer. And to make matters worse, they were both super rude to me. I mean, come on, where's the customer service?

After that whole ordeal, I decided to take a look around the store. I was hoping to find a tunic, but when I asked the ladies if they had any, they looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. They had no idea what a tunic was, and they told me they didn't sell them. I was pretty surprised, to be honest. I thought Talbots would have a better selection.

But then I saw some t-shirts that looked pretty cool. They were long and comfy-looking, and they were advertised for a great price - $12.99 each. I was excited to buy three of them, but when the ladies rang them up, they tried to charge me double the advertised price. I was pretty annoyed, but they told me they couldn't do anything about it. They said they had to charge whatever the computer said, and they didn't even apologize for the mistake.

I was so frustrated by the whole experience that I ended up leaving the store without buying anything. I don't think I'll be going back to Talbots at Desert Hills Premium Outlet anytime soon. It's a shame, because I used to be a loyal customer. But with rude staff and confusing policies, it's just not worth it. Talbots, you lost a good customer today.

Talbots Size discrepancy in tops

I want to say that I tried to call Talbots and speak with a manager & I was unable to do so. Cust. Svc. Said they have no phone number for that. There’s a number online but it’s a non working number. Bad cust. Svc. The large tops that I buy are never the same size. I have to shop online d/t my location. One large could be 24” at the bottom width & 26” on a different top. Why is a large from the same company so different? One might be tight, the next hangs on u & looks 2-3 sizes too big?

This is quite common to read in their online reviews. I know they have several manufacturers, but, for goodness sake, communicate with them about this issue!

IT IS SUCH A BIG PROBLEM FOR CUSTOMERS BECAUSE u have already paid for the tops, if u re-order in a smaller size you have to pay again, usually full price. The refund takes 2 months (2billing cycles to show up as a credit! Plus ur paying interest on both if u use a credit card! Then u have to print their label, which is $8-9 off of your return. The go to the post office and mail it. Such horrible dis-concern for the customer when it could be fixed with a little effort. I’ll add that Talbots clothes are not cheap in price some tops $118. Some pants $148.

Desired outcome: Hope management can work with all the manufacturers of their tops so that they’re all making these tops using the same numbers as the next maker of tops. So that a large is a large and medium is medium and small is small.

Talbots I am trying to return an item purchased that is too small.

I am having trouble with getting an address label to return an item purchased on line. I have ordered several times from Talbots and feel that I am a good customer. But this trying to print an address label has not made me happy. What was wrong with the former way of returning an item? I do not like not having the invoice to say why I am returning it etc. and with a label to use. And not being able to say if I want my return to go to my credit card or reorder. Please help me get this item returned.
The number on the tag on the item (I am not sure which is the right number)
is 134 02 00
351862 79
54973978.

I do not know which is the necessary number so I included all that was on the tag.

Order #211220IE59748

Desired outcome: Printed label to return item.

Talbots Invalid late fees and unethical practices

My Talbots account was paid in full online on May 4. I continued to receive emails but did not open them because I had made no new purchases. I recently opened a message and found a bill for $45. I contacted customer service multiple times before receiving any explanation. A $2 late fee had been added after my payment and has increased to $45 in 5 months. I asked for the charges to be removed but was denied.

Desired outcome: Refund

Talbots Sale items not allowed to be returned

I was in Talbot's yesterday in Asheville NC where I live. I spend quite a bit of time looking and trying things on and decided to purchase an item that was on sale. No big signs saying all sales are final.. when I was about to buy it the employee said oh wait a minute it is not returnable. I like looking at my purchased clothing items with my own mirror and then decide. Well good thing she remembered to tell me. It was $60 item I would have eaten if it had not worked out! Anyways like many of your shoppers I have been shopping at your stores for a long time. But not anymore because I don't like tricky sale return policies. Not sure why you would do that anyways on all sales items and not just the final sale rack per se. Lucy Jones
