Japan Tobacco International [JTI] Sterling essential tobacco

Hi I'm looking to find out how I make a complaint about a packet of sterling essential tobacco I purchased.

I puchased a packet today from my local co op store, I usually smoke the normal sterling tobacco and have done for years, not the sterling essential. After purchasing a packet of sterling essential today I got home to open it and find it tastes nothing like the normal sterling tobacco I usually buy, it seems very dry and tastes like a complete different brand and not very nice tasting. After checking online it says the sterling essential should be the same tobacco as the normal sterling I buy just without the rizla papers.

This is definitely not the same tobacco and I would like to raise a complaint about this as I pay alot of money to expect to get what I'm paying for. Let me know what further information you need and any photographs etc.

Japan Tobacco International [JTI] Sterling 50g rolling tobacco.

I have used your rolling tobacco for over 5 years and have never had a problem.Yesterday 30th of March i brought my usual 50g of rolling tobacco from MRH Ashby de la Zouch UK petrol station.When i got home i opened the packet and found the tobacco totally dry and un smokable.You seemed to have changed the packadging,there is no seal to keep the tobacco moist,no papers either,not impressed.I took the tobacco back to MRH in ashby and they refused to give me my money back as i had opened the packet!?.How else would i find out the tobacco is un smokable?

What do i do? you do have major problems with the packadging on the 50g bags,the 30g bags are still the same.will you give me a refund or do i have to get onto trading standards?

Japan Tobacco International [JTI] Winston Blue

I have been smoking Winston blue for the last 7years as it pleasant sigarette to smoke. The carton of cigaretts I have bought last, have multiple defects to it. I understand that it is not possible to get everything perfect but the last pack that i have had opened had 8 defective sigarettes that the filter either falls off when smoking or the filter falls off even before the cigarette is lit. The price of Winston is increasing but the quality decreasing. Please assit

Japan Tobacco International [JTI] Amber Leaf 30 gram pouches of new tobacco

Hi,

I've recently bought a few new pouches of amber leaf tobacco from Tescos supermarket, Redding Road, Brightons, Falkirk. The last few 30g pouches have been substandard as your product has been dry, unsmokeable and turns to dry dusty tobacco absolutely unfit for human consumption. As this product is not very cheap to purchase I feel like I have been buying a substandard product from you also I would like some information about this and a full refund for the 3 x 30 gram pouches I've paid nearly £20per pouch, as you can appreciate this isn't a cheap product to buy, also substandard and does not meet the British standards for retail.

Can you please let me know how to get this issue resolved,

Japan Tobacco International [JTI] Amber leaf 30mg rolling papers

My complaint refers to the rolling papers supplied with the tobacco. I understand the need to cut costs, but reducing/ or changing the quality of the rolling paper glue is making it near impossible to roll cigarettes, the glue is neat non existent, and one licked, there is no adhesion and the they just fall apart. This has been atleast the last 5 packs I've bought. I am now having to buy these separately, and yours just go straight in the bin.

Desired outcome: Return to your usual method or increase the layer of adhesive? Perhaps a different product may be more effective.

After ive been smoking sterling for a while i know what to expect,so when i get a 50g pouch i dont expect around half of the pouch to be dust fine dust,un smokable,the end falls off il send photos aswell thanking you this was bought on the thursday the 16 june at the one stop store on lindle rd

Japan Tobacco International [JTI] I bought a 30g pouch o holbon yellow

As soon as opened pack I thought to myself it looked and felt dry I rolled a cigarette tried it it's so dry it is unsmokeable .I returned to place of purchase explained and they informed me there Is nothing I can do as I have to complain to yourself I now have to wait for another 5 days before I have money to purchase another pack many thanks

Japan Tobacco International [JTI] Amber Leaf Rolling Tobacco

My aunty recently returned from holiday, bringing us back two boxes of 5 x 50g amber leaf rolling tobacco.

She bought them in an American airport duty free a week ago. She paid £130 for the two boxes.

When I opened the first packet I found the tobacco to be completely dried out not usable. I opened a second pack and found the same thing. I haven’t opened them all as the all sound crunchy and unusable.

Both boxes have the same issue.

I have attached some photo evidence.

Japan Tobacco International [JTI] Amber Leaf 30g pouch

Hi,

I bought a pouch of Amber Leaf on Tuesday the 12th of May 2022 and was smoking away fine until I got near the end of the pouch and found three hard brown lumps that I can only describe as looking like hard lumps on manure in my pouch. I have been smoking your product for years and has always given the benefit of the doubt for any issues I have come across but I am absolutely disgusted with what I found in my pouch.

I can provide any information/photos you require to solve this issue and reimburse me for this disgusting issue present.

This was not a lump of tobacco but something else for sure.

Desired outcome: As a long time user of this product I would like to be reimbursed with complementary tobacco.

Japan Tobacco International [JTI] Sterling tobacco

I have always smoked your sterling loose tobacco. Today 9th of April 2022.I purchased a packet and all I can say is that there was more wooden type bits it than tobacco.Which you can't smoke.The price of a pouch is constantly rising and when I have to waste a 1/3 of a pouch because it's not fit for purpose. I bought the tobacco in my local premier shop so I would expect that they purchased it at there local cash and carry. Could you kindly respond to this complaint please.Thank you Lee Berry

Japan Tobacco International [JTI] Amber leaf tobacco 50g

To whom it may concern

I have been a smoker of your tobacco since about 1998 and have never had a problem with it untill recent months.
Firstly recently every single time in the last couple of months that I have purchased your tobacco the rizlas that come with it have been unusable some of them have been all stuck together literally nearly the whole packet one time and other times the rizlas not sticking properly and then when smoking the roll up it comes apart thus then ruining the rest of the roll up . This is not just once or twice but time after time .
Secondly the tobacco that I purchased this week had plastic through it, it's disgusting I mean like through some of the tobacco there was plastic very tiny bits running through it but when I was smoking one and could smell plastic burning I did not think anything of it but then when rolling one later that night I actually saw the plastic in the tobacco .
As you are aware tobacco is very expensive and and I am seriously very unhappy with this and it's not like I can take it back to the store to get a refund or another pouch. I really do not expect this from your product especially when your one of the highest quality tobacco and because of this one of the most expensive, obviously the reason I pay the expensive prices is because I do not want to smoke crap if I'm going to smoke I want to smoke something decent.
As a customer of yours for many many years I am very upset and angry about this and also out of pocket .

Japan Tobacco International [JTI] Amber Leaf Original Hand Rolled Tobacco

I've been an Amber Leaf, Hand Rolled, Tobacco smoker for at least a Decade... Yet recently the tobacco I've been purchasing, whilst always ordering the same - Original Amber Leaf - Has not been satisfying in the slightest!

I've been having to roll at least double/triple thick rollies to get the same quality smoke that I'm used to from your Tobacco product.

This has left me wondering what on earth you're doing with your product... Have you just had a bad blend during a prolonged production batch, as you had years ago when a Ton of pouches where compromised with your pipe tobacco scents... or is this an intentional change - where your Original hand rolled is as week, if not weaker than your Blond variety - which would mean it's time to switch to a different Brand Tobacco...

I truly miss the scent of a freshly opened pouch of Amber Leaf Original... what have you done to have lost that delicious scent and satisfying smoke?!?!

Desired outcome: Replacement Pouch of acceptable quality Tobacco &/or a refund and an explanation as to why your product has nose dived recently... I've been a loyal customer for a Very Long Time and I'm currently feeling very disappointed!

Foreign objects in the pouch with pictures as proof
Needs resolving looks like mud or even worse rat dropping and I have been smoking it and making me feel sick now come to think I might have smoked it please could someone help me I have never had this problem befor so hopefully it's only a bad pouch and nothing more

Japan Tobacco International [JTI] Faulty duty free box of Amber Leaf

Hi I need to report a problem with a duty free box of 5 packs of 50g Amber Leaf bought at Tunis Airport. I have smoke Amber Leaf for over 13 years. But this batch tastes, smells awful and has bought on terrible chest congestion and coughing. Can you let me know who I can send this batch to be tested for any toxins that may have caused my illness?

Japan Tobacco International [JTI] Sterling rolling tobacco

I have used your brand of tobacco for many, many years and the passed 6-9months I have been increasingly disappointed with your product. I bave noticed the standard of tobacco has gone down, dramatically. The majority of my pouch is filled either hard, shards of what I assume, is tobacco as well as 'dust' at the bottom of each packet is very fine, loose tobacco. Not compact or the same texture as the rest of the pouch. When smoked it hurts my chest. Very disappointing that the standard has slipped. Your tobacco used to be enjoyable and good value for money.

Japan Tobacco International [JTI] Sterling dual

I purchased 200 Sterling dual cigarettes in Lanzarote, after opening them I realised there is no click balls in any of the pack, I tried to return to the shop and I couldn't as I had opened them. I am very unhappy as ‘Sterling dual' has only ever been with the click ball so how can these carry on being sold without them, being normal cigarettes! I would never have purchased knowing there was no click ball and I think it's terrible you can still sell this brand with that name!

Japan Tobacco International [JTI] Mayfair original

I bought a pack of Mayfair originals from Joyce's ballybane Galway today and there is only a small amount of tobacco in each cigarette I still have the pack and have pictures or these I can't smoke these as the bit of tobacco in them keeps falling out. I would like if ye could replace these as I will kept this pack till I get a reply from ye.

Hi, I am a smoker of amberleaf tabbacco for many years, but of late the papers that have been with the 50g have not been sticking, this has been happening for the past few weeks, what is the point of putting papers in that are not fit for purpose, I can even send you some back, as I don't use them anymore unless I'm desperate. so not very happy, not only can I have a good smoke, but I'm wasting half of my tabbacco, so I'm thinking of changing my tabbacco.

Japan Tobacco International [JTI] Amberleaf

The amberleaf I bought had more wood in it than tobacco totally unsmokeable not usually like that as have been smoking it for years n don't get me started on the cigarette papers inside which were all stuck together n unusable not a happy costumer

Japan Tobacco International [JTI] Amber leaf tobacco

I bought a pack of 50g Amber leaf tobacco never had any problems before but half way through the pack I found a piece of glass and I was horrified this could have been very dangerous. I would be grateful if someone could look into this for me as I would not like it to happen anyone else.
