Newegg said the game was free with my video card order. The video card was defective and I had to send it back.They charged me $15 on my credit card to ship it back then Newegg only refunded me $90 on my credit card off the $179.99 because they said i got a "free" game from them. I never even got the game that I didn't want in the first place just a paper promising a game. That sent me to another site to claim my "free" game" then said it wasn't ready for release yet. How can they charge you for something free that wasn't available and hadn't been released...

On the newegg.com page you purchase your item from on the Details tab scroll way down it says "Standard Return Policy" or another type of return policy there are 20 different types of return policies. Click the type of return policy for your specific item they don't tell you anywhere that you pay the shipping back to them even for items they sent you that are defective or broken. They tell you all these other things that make it sound like a good deal like "Return for refund within: 30 days" etc. but they don't tell you that you're going to get stuck paying shipping...

Do Not buy anything as a GIFT from newegg. Their customer service does not care about you or your situation IF/WHEN something goes wrong. They will not treat you with any respect nor will they do one thing to help you. Buy your Gifts from someone else - newegg does not care about you. My wife purchased from them for me on 11/24/12 as a X-mas gift. Problems started immediatly upon installing the new ram but it was already 12/27/12 by then and newegg could care less about you after 30 days!...

Awful customer service. I purchased a computer with an extended service plan for my wife this Christmas. The computer came badly damaged, so I returned it. Since it was out of stock at the time of return they refunded my money. Sounds fair right? However they only refunded the cost of the computer; not the service contract or shipping. Bought an item that Newegg had listed on Ebay. Paid immediately using my Paypal balance.

They wrote a couple of hours later that the item was out of stock; and that my account would not be charged. Well, it already was charged since I paid with my account balance. I contacted Ebay who was of little help - told me to contact Newegg and try to resolve it. Phones took too long - I was on hold forever and finally gave up. At least, I got hold of someone on chat.. I used to be a good Newegg customer but stopped doing business with them about a year ago due to my experiences with their customer service. I saw a Laptop that was on sale for Cyber Monday and thought I would give them a chance again. What a mistake. Terrible customer service. I ordered 2 things from them. 1) a CPU heat sink, and 2) a Blu ray drive. The heat sink was missing a small pin in the hold down assembly. Their response was for me to send the entire thing back instead of sending me the part. They said they cant help it if something is missing parts. It was my first and last experience with Newegg. I ordered an Acer Aspire since this computer was rated really good. But Newegg messed it up and sent me the wrong item. People who don't have no experiences with computers would have probably not even realized that they got the correct model but without the graphic card in it.

contacted newegg and they said they'd send it out

2 weeks later still having received it so emailed them again

this time got no response


left a bad review on the cooler master item page but newegg filtered it out and won't allow me to post what happened


in short, newegg and cooler master scammed me

they knew nobody would pay $15 to ship the case back to get a $1 thumbscrew

by doing this they save $1 per...

They are a SCAM. I had my credit card charged for an order I never placed. They were rude and said I made the order. THAT WAS A LIE. I asked them where it was shipped and they couldn't tell me. They were so rude to both my boyfriend and I. I can see that I'm not the only one that this happened to.

Ordered a Gateway DX4870-UR11P from Newegg.com. I wish I read the reviews about this vendor before buying from them because I will never buy anything from them again. I got my order in two days, however, there was a problem. The pc could not detect the wireless signal. The pc was returned for replacement which I waited for 8 days. The second time, the same problem exists. Waiting time to get a live customer support ranged from 20-42 minutes. Only got to talk to the tech support once when the first problem occurred. Never got hold of a tech guy the second time. Frustrated, called Verizon tech support....

I wanted to spend more than a thousand dollars there, but after dealing with 4 phone calls, errors made by customer service people, and being on hold for 22.46 minutes (and counting), I still have not been able to order my computer with overnight shipping. Ha! It has been 7 days since I first tried to order this. What a joke....

Newegg is the only retailer of Microsoft Xbox products that registers the products upon receipt, not when they are sold. This short changes consumers of the full 1-year manufacturer warranty that is inferred prior to purchase. If the product sits in stock for awhile prior to selling, the consumer may receive little to no warranty from the manufacturer at all. I purchased a new Xbox and Kinect bundle and am receiving 60% of the manufacturer warranty. I have not been able to order anything since I've tried. They have declined my order countless times and refuse to tell me why. After they kept automatically voiding my orders, they took all the money from the orders. 2 grand out of pocket, and they did not tell me. The bank did. I have purchased 3 computers from them on promotional no deferred interest programs. They purposely place monthly payments towards the promotional periods that end later, so the ones ending sooner fail to get paid off and incur finance charges. When you want to fight the charges, go ahead, but do so by fax, and don't expect any management to have a clue. Oh and don't expect to email anybody there, they don't do external emails for support....
