Benchmark Exteriors review: They won't even give you a set price

Benchmark Exteriors of McHenry Illinois…another one of those roofing companies that promises they can get your insurance company to pay for a new roof, siding, garage door and more with no cost to you. They won’t even give you a set price…depends on what your insurance company will pay. We were told we could get a new garage door even after we told the owner (jeremy) that the damage on the door was caused by a family member, not hail. These guys are out to scam the consumer and defraud the insurance company. He went as far as saying that since “everybody else” in the neighborhood is getting the work done, if we didn’t get it done our house would we worth less and we were bringing down the value of all the homes in the neighborhood. I checked and this company is NOT even listed with the Better Business Bureau and when someone complained to the BBB; this company would not even respond. After telling him we would not do business with him, he threatened to send us to his collection agency for the full cost of the work; and put a construction lien on our home even though we had never signed a contract to have the work done. If you run across this guy or anyone from Benchmark Exteriors get him away from your home, they are bad news.
