Audiogon Mixed Experiences with Audiogon

As an expert in high-end audio equipment, I've noticed a mix of reviews about Audiogon. Some customers have had positive experiences, praising the platform for its wide selection and community. However, there are concerns raised by other users about issues with sellers, lack of protection, and questionable practices. It seems like Audiogon may need to address these issues to enhance customer trust and satisfaction.

Audiogon Disappointing Experience with Audiogon: Lack of Support and Censorship

I had an experience with Audiogon that left me feeling completely disappointed and unsatisfied. I sold an item to a buyer who agreed to pay for upgraded shipping to freight. However, the buyer ended up not paying for the upgraded shipping as we had agreed upon. When I wrote a neutral review on the buyer, Audiogon ended up removing it from the buyer feedback. I found this to be quite alarming and frustrating as I felt like I was not getting the support and validation that I deserved.

The review that I wrote was simply stating the facts of what had happened between myself and the buyer. It was not intended to be negative or harmful in any way. I just wanted to share what had happened for transparency and to prevent other sellers from experiencing the same frustration and disappointment that I had.

Unfortunately, the poor management at Audiogon left me feeling completely disillusioned with the site. After 15 years of using it as a platform to buy and sell items, I have decided to delete my account and move on. I don't believe that I can trust the site to support me as a seller or buyer anymore, and I would caution anyone else to be cautious when using the site as well.

Overall, my experience with Audiogon was not a positive one and I would not recommend it to anyone looking to buy or sell audio equipment. The lack of support from the management team and the inability to share honest feedback without fear of it being retracted made the entire experience feel unsatisfactory and unfulfilling.

Audiogon Audiogon Review: Beware of Warren Gregoire's Scams

I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience on Audiogon recently. I wrote up a post on the forums about how I got ripped off by some dude named Warren Gregoire. See, I ordered a brand spanking new Decca Jubilee for three grand, but what I got in the mail was a USED one. What the heck, man? And then when I tried to send it back, ol' Warren refused! So I had to ship it off to Presence Audio for repairs, which took nearly half a year.

I just wanted to warn other folks out there to steer clear of Warren and his scams, but apparently he's some sorta sponsor for the site or something. They ended up deleting my post altogether, which really grinded my gears.

All things considered, I'd give Audiogon a big fat goose egg for their customer service and policies. And as for Warren Gregoire? He deserves at LEAST a negative ten. Stay away, folks. Stay FAR away.

Audiogon Buyer Beware: My Horrible Experience with Audiogon Authorized Dealer and Customer Service

I had a really rough time with Audiogon lately. One of the dealers authorized by them tried to scam me by neither sending me an item nor refunding my money. After a long and frustrating battle, I had to resort to getting my money back through PayPal. Needless to say, I was absolutely livid with this dealer, who also cursed me out and acted in a thoroughly unprofessional manner.

I reached out to customer service at Audiogon hoping they could help me out, but Sarah couldn't care less. Apparently, these dealers pay a lot of money to advertise on their website - sometimes for years and years. So, they prioritize keeping these guys happy over doing what's fair and just for people like me who got scammed. I did my best to complain to them, but they ended up suspending my account altogether.

Honestly, it's really sad to see how much Audiogon has gone downhill in recent years. It used to be such a great website, but now any buyer should seriously beware when dealing with those authorized dealers. It's a real shame that they're more interested in protecting their precious ad revenue than treating their users like they deserve to be treated.

Audiogon Audiogon.com Review: The Ultimate Audio Gear Marketplace and Community

Yo, so I gotta tell you guys about Audiogon.com - it's lit! Seriously though, this site is where it's at for buying and selling audio gear. And when I say high end, I mean HIGH end. Like, we're talking top of the line stuff that'll blow your mind.

I've been on the site for like a decade now (yeah, I know, I'm an OG) and I haven't had any issues. The site is fancy, but it's also easy to use. You don't have to be a tech whiz to figure it out. Plus, they've got all kinds of info to help you make informed decisions about buying and selling.

One thing to keep in mind is that selling on Audiogon can be a bit pricey compared to other sites like eBay. But honestly, it's worth it for the peace of mind you get from their feedback system. When you're dealing with high dollar items, you want to make sure you can trust who you're buying from or selling to. And the feedback system on Audiogon is legit.

Another cool thing about the site is the community aspect. They've got forums where you can connect with other audio enthusiasts and talk about gear, music, whatever. And they also have member reviews of equipment so you can get a sense of how certain items perform in real life.

The site also has a Q&A section where you can ask questions or get advice about audio and video stuff. And let me tell you, the members on this site are some of the most helpful folks around. They'll go out of their way to help you out or steer you in the right direction.

And the best part? Membership is free! So you can join up and start exploring the site without having to drop any cash. Overall, I gotta say that Audiogon makes you feel like part of the family. If you're into audio gear at all, you gotta check it out.

Audiogon Beware of Audiogon: A Review of Their Buyer/Seller Protection

Listen up guys, I gotta say something about Audiogon (audiogon.com). I don't know if it's just my bad luck or if this is a regular thing, but I think it's only fair to put my experiences with them out there. You know what they say, sharing is caring.

So the thing about Audiogon is that they claim to have your back when you're buying or selling something through their website. They take their fees and say they're gonna make sure both buyer and seller are protected. Well, I gotta tell ya, that's not what happened with me.

I was selling something on their website and this guy comes along and he seems real interested. We went back and forth a few times, and eventually, he sends me the payment. Everything looks good, or so I thought. Then I shipped my item, but here's where things got messy. The buyer received the item, examined it, and told me it was broken. I was so surprised because I knew that the item I shipped was in good condition. He started making all these crazy demands, and I realized he was trying to scam me.

So I reached out to Audiogon's customer support and filed a claim, but here's the thing: it's been days now, and I haven't heard anything back. I looked around online and saw that I'm not the only one. There are six claims filed at their local Better Business Bureau office, and most of them have to do with the company not communicating effectively.

I don't know about you guys, but for the fees they charge, I expect better. I don't think it's fair that I'm not getting the protection I was promised by Audiogon. So all I gotta say is, beware. Avoid this company if you can.

Audiogon Audiogon Review: A Disappointing Experience You Can't Trust

You just can't trust some people, and my experience with Audiogon really highlighted this for me. I had placed a bid on a headphone auction and was feeling pretty excited as I watched the bidding go up and up. But then, at the very last second, the seller cancelled the auction. I was immediately suspicious and felt like I had been let down.

I decided to contact Audiogon to try to get an explanation for what had happened. They seemed helpful at first, emailing the seller to ask for an explanation. But then, when the seller responded with some excuse about being called out of town suddenly, Audiogon didn't seem to care. Their response to the seller was basically just, "Hey, it's cool, just let us know when you're ready to re-list it."

I was pretty disappointed at this point, and it really soured my whole experience with Audiogon. To be honest, I probably won't be using them again in the future. I value my time and don't want to waste it on websites that can't be trusted.

Maybe I'm just being naive, but I feel like if I had been using eBay instead of Audiogon, this wouldn't have happened. eBay has built up a reputation for being reliable and trustworthy, so I feel like I could have placed my trust in them to make sure that the auction went smoothly.

Overall, my experience with Audiogon was pretty negative. I can't recommend them as a reliable place to buy and sell items online.

Audiogon Audiogon: A Haven for Audio Enthusiasts or a Toxic Community of Online Bullies?

Man, have you heard about Audiogon? This site is packed with all sorts of bizarre people. I mean, if you're into audio, looking for good deals, and don't mind hanging around online bullies, then Audiogon is perfect for you.

I'm telling you; their forums are full of grumpy old-timers who, if you don't agree with their opinions, will go out of their way to harass, insult, and smear you. It's like they're on a mission to run off anyone who doesn't share their beliefs.

Honestly, it reminds me of some sort of twisted conspiracy theory website. They're all about their "golden ears," and they refuse to accept anything that doesn't fit within their narrow viewpoint. If you even try to bring up scientific facts, they'll shut you down faster than you can blink.

I remember one thread where someone tried to talk about rap music, and it was a total disaster. Between the racism and arguments, the whole thing was canceled by Audiogon. They can't handle anyone challenging their views, especially if it's the younger crowd.

I mean, with their user base being mostly old men, it's not exactly surprising. However, as the world changes, they're going to find themselves left in the dust. The younger generations won't tolerate their selective censorship and [censored]ry.

And hey, have you heard about the threats people have reported on Audiogon? Yikes, it's not something to take lightly. I wouldn't go near that site if you paid me.

Audiogon A Warning About Audiogon: A Dangerous Place for Internet Users

If you're thinking about signing up for Audiogon, you should really think twice about it. It's a dangerous place out there on the internet, and Audiogon is no exception. It's not a community where people gather to exchange ideas or talk about audio equipment - it's a place where people with too much time on their hands and too much money to burn go to troll, bash, lie, cheat, and defame others. This kind of activity is not only tolerated on Audiogon, it's encouraged and even celebrated by some of the users.

If you're not careful, you could become a victim of internet terrorism. The people on Audiogon will stop at nothing to tear you down, damage your account, and ruin your life. They'll pry into your personal life and try to interfere with it in any way they can. They'll harass you with phone calls, emails, and even threats. All of this is done with the express purpose of making your life miserable, and to these people, that's what they consider to be fun.

If you do decide to join Audiogon, you need to be prepared for the worst. Be ready to deal with trolls and liars who will say anything to bring you down. Don't expect to have civil conversations or productive exchanges with other users. They're not interested in helping each other out or learning from one another - they're only interested in causing chaos and destruction.

In fact, many of the users on Audiogon are mentally ill or suffering from other serious issues. You don't want to invite these kinds of people into your life, and you certainly don't want to give them a platform to attack you.

If you're looking for a safe and productive community where you can discuss audio equipment and related topics, I suggest you give Audiogon a wide berth. It's not worth the risk to your mental and emotional well-being. Stay safe and stick to more reputable and trustworthy websites.

Audiogon Audiogon Review: Account Suspended for Selling Legit Items and Customer Service Brushed Me Off

Yo, guys, I gotta share my experience with Audiogon. So, I decided to sell some of my sick LP collection and signed up with these peeps. At first, I was hella skeptical because I read some negative reviews on some audiophile sites, but I thought, "YOLO, let's give it a try."

Anyways, I listed two LPs and to my surprise, both sold within five days. I was super pumped about that. But then, I listed some headphones, and after a bunch of messages back and forth with a buyer, I accepted their offer and they paid through Audiogon's system with PayPal.

BUT, get this, ten minutes later, Audiogon suspends my account without any warning or anything. So, I send them an email, and this chick Tammy Holt responds, saying that my account is fraudulent because I'm based in the UK (like, what does that even mean?) and that all eBay sellers are crooks. Excuse me, but I've sold some legit stuff on eBay, including Krell amps and antique items, and I've got great feedback.

So, I'm trying to explain myself to Tammy, but she ain't hearing it. She closes my account, and I'm like, WTF? The reason she gave is that I didn't give the buyer a tracking number, even though they only paid ten minutes ago. That makes no sense, right?

Anyways, a few hours later, I get an email from PayPal saying that the buyer's funds are fraudulent and unauthorized. So, I hit Tammy up again, asking her to investigate, but she's still skeptical and doesn't believe me. Meanwhile, the fraudster's account is still up and running, and mine is closed.

I'm freaking out because they have my address and credit card info, and I can't even communicate with my buyers through their system. Plus, they kept all the funds from my PayPal for their commission, even though I had to dispute these payments through PayPal.

I'm planning on filing a complaint with some regulating bodies in the US because this is some straight up shady business. I know I'm not the only one, and if anyone else has had a similar experience, please hit me up and let's shut these guys down.

Audiogon My Disappointing Experience with Audiogon: Unfair Charges, Poor Customer Service, and No Refund

Audiogon is a platform where you can buy and sell audio equipment, but unfortunately, my experience with them was less than stellar. Unlike their competitors who charge a fee upon sale of an item, Audiogon charges you before even listing the item. This is not ideal given the low sales conversion rate on the site, as compared to other sites I've used. When I had a discussion with their Sales Manager about this, he claimed that an 18% conversion rate for aggressively priced listings was "pretty good," which I beg to disagree.

I had to terminate my account and requested that both my account with Audiogon and my account for their valuation tool be canceled. Tammy Holt, an employee of Audiogon, then reached out to me via email, enticing me not to cancel my account. A couple of weeks later, they charged me for the subscription, which I contested. Tammy and I exchanged emails, but she kept insisting that it was my fault and that they would not be providing any refund.

I multiple times requested contact information for a manager, but they kept denying me access. So, I published a request on LinkedIn to Lindsey Karlson, the COO, to forward my message to one of their managers that I could talk to regarding the matter. But, Lindsey emailed me back stating that she can't help me with that issue.

After multiple failed attempts to resolve the $10 mistake made on their part, I ended up initiating chargeback just to get my refund. Audiogon seems to have a belief that they are indispensable to their customers, which should not be the case. My experience tells me that Reverb is a better platform to do business with as they value their customers more. Maybe someday, Audiogon will realize that their customers are what keep their business going, and they should start treating them well.

Audiogon Audiogon.com: A Community for Audiophiles to Find the Ultimate Listening Experience

. Audiogon.com - that's where I go to get my audio gear. You know, the kind of stuff that makes music sound like it's right there in the room with you. And let me tell you, these guys know their stuff. They've got a huge selection of speakers, amps, turntables - you name it. And the prices? Let's just say I've never walked away feeling like I got ripped off.

But what really sets Audiogon apart is the community. These are people who love music and are passionate about getting the best possible sound out of their gear. They're always ready to give advice, recommend products, and share their experiences. And it's not just online - they have events all over the country where you can meet other audio enthusiasts in person.

Now, I'll admit that the site itself can be a little overwhelming at first. There's just so much to explore, and some of the terminology can be a bit technical. But once you get the hang of it, it's a treasure trove of information. And if you ever get stuck, there's a customer service team that's always ready to help.

All in all, if you're an audio nerd like me, you owe it to yourself to check out Audiogon. It's the best resource out there for finding and learning about the gear that will give you the ultimate listening experience. And who knows, maybe one day you'll even end up at one of their events, geeking out with other music lovers.

Audiogon Disappointing Experience with Audiogon: Slow Loading, Broken Links, and PayPal Scams

I've used Audiogon for a long time and used to think it was pretty good. You didn't always get the best deal but you paid for what you got. But now, it's become a nightmare.

There's just so many problems with the site nowadays. Pages take forever to load, links often don't work right, and it's just a real hassle trying to navigate around to find what you're looking for.

And don't even get me started on the PayPal system. It's seriously messed up. I tried to use it to pay for something I bought on Audiogon and ended up getting my money stolen. So not cool.

Honestly, I'm really disappointed with what Audiogon has turned into. It's just not the site it used to be. I don't think I'll be using it much anymore unless they really step things up and fix all these issues.

Audiogon Audiogon Review: Decent Selection, Reasonable Prices, But Seller Communication Can Be Slow

So, I was checking out Audiogon just the other day, and let me tell you, right off the bat, they are asking for a lot of personal information. I mean, it's like they want to do some sort of a crazy audit on you or something, ya know? And if you don't give them what they want, they're just gonna turn you down flat. Like, why do they even need my PayPal info just to let me create an account? What is up with that?

But, once you get past all of that, I gotta say, I was pretty impressed with what Audiogon has to offer. I was looking for some new audio equipment, and man they had a bunch of stuff on there. I found it really easy to navigate their website, and I was able to find everything I was looking for in no time. Plus, their prices were pretty reasonable, too.

One thing I will say, though, is that I did have a bit of trouble communicating with some of the sellers. I'm not sure if it was just me or what, but it seemed like they were taking forever to respond to my messages. And, like, when they did finally get back to me, they weren't always super helpful. But hey, that's just the way it goes sometimes, right?

All in all, I'd say Audiogon is definitely worth checking out if you're looking for some new audio gear. Yeah, they might ask you for more personal info than you're comfortable with, but once you get past that, you'll find a pretty solid selection of products at some decent prices. Just be prepared to wait a bit for some of the sellers to get back to you, that's all.

Audiogon Avoid Audiogon's Shipping and Insurance Services: A Nightmare and BBB Complaint Waiting to Happen

Audiogon is a website that allows audio enthusiasts to buy and sell audio equipment with ease. While their platform may be smooth sailing, it's best to avoid shipping and insurance through them at all costs. Trust us when we say you don't want to deal with their customer service.

Let us paint you a picture. You've bought an amplifier from a seller on Audiogon and opted to use their shipping and insurance services. You better get ready to pull out your hair, because the nightmare begins here. The seller generates a FedEx label through Audiogon and uses their third-party insurance instead of FedEx's insurance offerings - which, by the way, don't exist.

Fast forward 30 days later and you're still dealing with a damaged in shipping claim. And if that's not bad enough, they'll discount your claim like used car salesmen bargaining over the price of a clunker. You may end up $100 short and filing a BBB complaint before they even consider paying you out.

As much as we love Audiogon for what it is, we can't say the same for their shipping and insurance services. Save yourself the headache and deal with these issues yourself. Trust us when we say, "You're welcome."

Audiogon Fees and customer support

When I decided to sell an item on Audiogon, I had never done that - I'm a normal guy, not a retailer - and I screwed up and selected to pay fees up front. I wasn't being careful enough and didn't understand the options all that well. I listed the item for sale and received a couple offers, none of which was close to what I needed. The item never sold and I asked customer service - Tammy - if they would consider refunding some or all of my $700 listing fee since the item wasn't selling and I was having second thoughts about selling it at all now. I received absolutely no empathy, just questions like "Why did you list it if you weren't sure about selling?" She said she would not refund me any money. All she could offer is to re-list the item. Now, I am out $700 (!) — not a small amount of money. I have a credit with Audiogon that I will never, ever use - I don't sell equipment like this very often, i.e. never. I've since asked to speak with a different manager and no one has responded. They are much better at taking your money than responding to requests for assistance. This is a warning to potential users - be very careful when selecting a fee option because if you screw up like I did, customer service will not help you and you could be out $700 just to list an item for two months. That's pretty good money for no work, Audiogon. I will spread the word everywhere relevant on the internet. BBB is next.

Desired outcome: A refund of some kind.

Audiogon online ads

This is the first time i write a review and hopefully the last.
I created an account with these people recently, in order to sell part of my vast LP collection, hesitant initially as i read many bad reviews on various Audiophile sites.
I posted 2 ads for 2 LPs and both sold within 5 days so i was excited with the result. Both items shipped promptly by 2nd class post. Then i listed a pair of headphones, after many messages from a buyer and after providing many good trading references from my ebay account (sold a pair of Krell amplifiers there and many antique items), i accepted buyers offer. Buyer paid immediately through their system with paypal.
Exactly 10 minutes later. Audiogon suspends my account, without any given reason, nor warning or email !
I emailed their support and i received an answer from Tammy Holt stating that my account is fraudulent as i am based in UK and all ebay sellers are crooks!
To my amazement and shock she refused to open the account even after providing them with my ebay id with feedback, she insisted that she closed my account as i didnt provide the buyer with a tracking number! Yes, the buyer who paid 10minutes ago by paypal.
A few hours later i received an email from paypal that the buyers funds are fraudulent and that his payment wasnt authorised, again i contacted Tammy Holt asking to investigate, well she did, fraudsters account is still open and mine remains closed.
I am deeply concerned as i cannot communicate with my buyers through their system, they have my address and my credit card details on their system and i feel unprotected.
They also kept all the funds from my paypal for their commission for the ads i placed to their website, i had to dispute these payments through paypal, they didnt even bother to reply to paypal cases.
I am planning to complain to all relevant regulating bodies in USA for their racing and biased attitude, i am sure as i read the reviews, that there are other people scammed by them.
Whoever needs additional information or have any information to help us shutting sown these people, please provide them here.

Audiogon audiogon sucks.. really bad

Bought a Preamp off Audiogon. Seller says it is used but neglects to mention it is damaged! He tries HARD to get me to buy it quichly! SO I do. When I get it, yes its damaged and no where in the listing does it state that it has damage. Damage to a digital inpit I migth add that was easily looked over and ignored!. The seller goes so far as to admit he indeed "forgot" to mention the damage in the listing. I accepted $50 offer off the original price. Waited days never got it. He wouldnt responmd to my messages so I left a negative and suddenly he wants to get the negative removed. I email audiogon and tell them do NOT remove that negative. I have clear evidence he lied and sold me a dammaged item. They actually can read the emails to and from each other so I can tell you that I wasnt lying. Well, Its gone! They removed the Negative and now I am stuck with a damaged item and NO recourse at all. They say open a dispute with paypal.! Audiogon is useless. They have no customer support. They have no Phone number. You have an issue you are screwed.
I wouldnt trust Audiogon for nothing! Dont do it...

Audiogon 100% scam

Wanted to buy speakers from www.audiogon.com website and I actually made and order and even paid.
Later I got a message from them stating they needed some of my personal information such as ID number and credit card number. They said they needed the information for shipping. Seems like a scam to me! I'm a frequent online shopper and I know that there is no shipping service which needs a customers ID or credit card number to ship something. Asked for a refund and they did not reply.
