You people obviously do not know anyone who actually works for aquage. I strongly support them in trying to stop them from product diversion. As a stylist, how would you feel your if your client bought products off the internet? I work at an exclusive professional product retail store, and have had people put different product in bottles and try to return it. As a stylist, I'd be mortified if that happened to a client. As a stylist, I sell specific product to my clients so they know exactly what and why something is being used on their hair. As a stylist, I respect and love the oodles amount of amazing products that is exclusive to just our industry. Them stopping diversion is helping YOU. It helps you make money, your clients respect and trust your knowledge, and ultimately puts more money in YOUR pockets. NOT aquages. They sell to every one at a specific price and you can turn around and sell to a client for double. They aren't money hungry. They are very humble, talented, and definity one of a kind company. They put an amazing name on our industry. Oh and btw, if you hate the product so much and want to get rid of it, instead of waiting for a response on eBay, AQUAGE WILL BUY BACK ANY AND EVERY PRODUCT. Reduces diversion and you get your precious 12$ back along with getting that horrendous product out of your bathroom, leaving us all with a smile on our faces.
Salonquest is a horrible company who treats their employees like dirt! Full of high paid executives who cheat, steal, lie and have no morals. A very dirty company!
I lost my position in a very high end salon 5.5 years ago due to one of Aquage's 'diversion investigators' falsely accusing me of selling their product on eBay. Her lack of investigating not only cost me my job, it also tarnished my reputation as a hair designer. What is so amazing to me is that it only took me 1 email and 1 phone call to find out the full names and State Board of Cosmetology license numbers of the salon who actually had the Aquage listed on eBay. I contacted and attorney, and the so-called 'diversion investigator' agreed to settle out of court, but that doesn't change the fact that, because of her lack of investigating, my life was turned up-side-down. I am STILL waiting on an apology from all parties involved...I don't see it ever happening. While I am a strong supporter of salon exclusive products, it does seem ridiculous that someone's life could be ruined by just being accused of selling Aquage on eBay...after all, it's just soap...
Get a life. When I purchase a product and I owe it I have the right to resell it anyway I can. The company who manufactures the product can only control the first sale. It's called the First Sale Doctrine and it's the law. This company is just trying to get around the law by threatening people with lawsuits to scare them into not selling the product online. If they do not want to see their product online, then they need to control their distribution. However, if a customer has a bottle they do not want and they wish to sell it online, that is perfectly legal. Just as if I purchase a book and after reading it I decide to sell it online. I did not write the book, but after I purchase it, it is mine. I an resell the book someone else wrote because I now own it. So stop complaining and realize that it is a free market and you are never going to completely control the sale of an item.

As a salon owner who sells Aquage exclusively, I have to say that your argument does not hold water.
If you received a letter from Aquage, it was because you were doing business in a manner that does nothing but harm the integrity of the professional salon industry. Professional salon products are supposed to only be sold by professionals & Aquage is fighting very hard against diversion of their products. WHY would any true professional stylist be upset over this?
Aquage only sells to independent salons & stylists. No chain salons, retail stores or on the internet.
Anyone who lists Aquage products on its website has received the same letter. Either appreciate the integrity of this company or choose a different career because coming from a professional that DOES care, the less people like you, the better it is for our industry.
