I'm a homeowner and I needed a sample for asbestos testing. I asked the receptionist how long it would take and she said "24 TO 48 HOURS". Two employees came to my house on April 13 at 2:00 pm to take the sample. They were polite and quick. They didn't have any documents and used a sandwich bag to collect the sample, which was weird. When I asked how long it would take, they said "24 TO 48 HOURS". I called Kimberly and Amanda at American Restoration Water and Fire LLC to cancel the test since I missed my deadline. I asked for a refund, but Amanda said they couldn't give me one since the results were already sent to the lab. I spent $350 and I want my refund because the service wasn't what I was told. Kimberly and Amanda were rude and unhelpful. They didn't care about my complaint. I felt like just another customer. This company is unprofessional and I wish I could give 0 stars.

American Restoration did some work for us to remove mold and tear out our bathroom. The job was supposed to take a week, but they sent people who didn't clean the mold right, according to their boss Abner. The project manager Amanda was terrible. She didn't answer our calls and forgot to tell us what was going on. When they almost finished, they didn't take out a mirror and some tiles like they said they would. When I asked them about it, they said they already left and wanted $75 to come back. I think they wanted more money because I told Amanda I wouldn't hire them again for the rebuild. After I said that, Amanda added $75 to the bill. I said I would pay less, and then her boss Kimberly called and said they would put a lien on my house.

A guy from American Restoration came to my crib to fix a mold problem that came from a busted hot water heater. After they fixed it, I didn't get no bill or report saying the mold was gone. Some dude named *** (1/10) called me up asking for payment, but I told him I ain't got no bill yet. I offered to pay some anyway until I got a check from the adjuster. They sent me an invoice with the amount due, but it didn't say what they did and when they did it. Then some other person named *** (1/11) emailed me saying I'm going to collections and I gotta pay a different amount than what *** said. I told them I ain't got no check yet and I want a bill with a mold report. I finally got a check and it went through, but my adjuster office ain't got nothing yet. I wanna pay up and get this over with, but I need a detailed bill and the mold report to make sure everything's good and to have proof for insurance or mortgage stuff. I hope they can fix this mess soon.

When we hired American Water & Fire Restoration to fix our house, everything seemed normal. But after a month of no updates, we asked for an estimate to send to our insurance. Eric was helping us, but he couldn't get the estimate right. He kept giving us the wrong numbers and charging too much. We asked for a manager, and Ryan came out to measure our house again. He said Eric had measured wrong multiple times. Ryan promised to send a new estimate the next day, but it took a week. By then, we had already hired another company. Now Kimberley is trying to charge us for things our insurance won't cover, and they won't give us back the materials they took from our house. They even forgot to buy a ceiling fan we needed. The customer service was terrible. Kimberley told us to go somewhere else and not come back. Months later, they're still trying to charge us for things they didn't do and won't give us our stuff back. It was a bad experience.

I hired American Restoration to fix water damage in my crib through insurance. They gave an estimate of pricing and timeline to my insurance company. They said it would take 20 or 21 days to finish for $12,336.64. They scheduled the first two days of work, which made us stay in a hotel. After that, they didn't schedule anything for over a week. We tried to contact Eric M several times, but he didn't respond until two weeks later. He said he forgot to send us the payment schedule contract and couldn't start work until we signed it and paid the first payment. We signed it and paid 40% of the total job bid. We were two weeks behind schedule, but we hoped things would go smoothly from then on. However, they had several days where no crews were working on our house, and we had a hard time reaching Eric. Our insurance agent also tried to contact him, but he gave misinformation several times. It's been four weeks, and less than a quarter of the work is done. Our contractor said he would finish in two days, but that's not true. He hasn't communicated well with us or our insurance company. My neighbor said he only saw crews 7 or 8 days since we left our house, and they often arrive after 10:00 am and leave after a few hours of work. The office hasn't been helpful in resolving any issues. They breached our contract since they didn't deliver the services promised in the timeline they set.

American Restoration was called to fix a water leak in my house. They said they would also do other repairs for $2500, with half due on the first day. Only one person showed up and didn't do much. He took all the money, not just half. The project manager was slow to respond and communication was bad. Workers didn't show up when they were supposed to. One worker painted badly and made a mess. Another worker argued with me and didn't do the baseboards right. The same crew came back 3 or 4 times. I was charged for things I didn't need, like insulation. They left mold in my house for weeks. They cut out drywall but didn't paint or texture it. There's still a waterline in the kitchen. When I asked for a refund, they sent me a bill for even more money. It was terrible work and they didn't even give me a second estimate for more repairs.
