Amazon Mechanical Turk Mixed Feelings About Amazon Mechanical Turk

As someone who has explored Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk), I have mixed feelings about the platform. On one hand, MTurk provides a diverse platform for completing microtasks in exchange for pay, offering flexibility in working hours and task selection. However, the pay for tasks may not always match the effort required, and there can be inconsistencies in task availability. While it can be a decent platform to earn some extra money, it might not be suitable as a primary source of income due to the unpredictable nature of task availability and relatively low pay for certain tasks. Additionally, there have been concerns raised about customer service issues and account suspensions without clear explanations, which can be frustrating for users. Overall, MTurk can be a convenient way to make pocket money, but users should be cautious and manage their expectations when using the platform.

Amazon Mechanical Turk Great way to earn some extra money!

Although the tasks range from a mere $0.50 to $2.00, the amount can build up, and is definitely worth it if you want to save on Amazon.com purchases or simply transfer to your bank account.

Amazon Mechanical Turk Great way to make a few extra bucks

I've been a turker since 2016 and have made money to add to my Amazon gift card balance or to transfer to my bank. It doesn't pay much but the work isn't difficult. You do have to pay attention as you may not receive payment if you don't follow directions carefully. Happy Turking!

Amazon Mechanical Turk Super Site I've ever worked

I am proud of being an amazon turker. The tasks are Quite simple and interesting. HITS include identifying objects in a photo or video, performing data de-duplication, transcribing audio recordings, or researching data details etc. I've been working on Mturk since 2010. Any one with knowledge in english can work on it. Now I am a trusted worker with 98.4% accuracy and worked on more than *** Hits. I recommend this to all those who wish to earn some money by doing transcriptions, surveys, playing interactive games (as part of survey).

Amazon Mechanical Turk I randomly stumbled across mTurk.com (Amazon Mechanical

I randomly stumbled across mTurk.com (Amazon Mechanical Turk) while surfing the net. I read reviews about this site, and how people can make money by completing HITs, or human intelligence tasks. It's a reliable site, and it is owned by Amazon.com themselves. People upload simple tasks others can do, for example, you can complete mini surveys, or write articles, and transcribe audio (listening an audio and writing it out into words). HITs vary from $. 01-$20 & up. I've been doing HITs averaging from 4-5 bucks, and made around $130 in two weeks, which is not bad at all. This site is pretty much secure... you have the option of transfering your money into Amazon credits, or into your bank account through the Amazon website.

Amazon Mechanical Turk MTurk Review: A Great Way to Earn Extra Cash with Turkopticon Protection

MTurk is one of the best places for people who are looking for a way to earn some extra cash in their free time. However, as with everything else in life, it is not a walk in the park to make a living doing it. Some folks are fortunate enough to earn a decent living there, but it is crucial to remember that better-paying hits become available only as you accumulate more and more HITs. Furthermore, it is necessary to maintain an acceptance rate of at least 90% if you wish to have access to the best hits. Turkopticon is an add-on you cannot afford to miss if you want to avoid the bad requesters. Don't worry about security; the website is incredibly secure, and I have never lost a dime.

The best part of using MTurk is that you can claim your earnings daily if you have a minimum of $1 to cash out. Consequently, you can quickly transfer your earnings straight to your bank account. The site has a few problems, just like any other site, but they are minimal, and the money you make makes up for it. I give the site a rating of 4, mainly because most users give up too quickly, not willing to spend enough effort learning the system so that it works for them. As long as you work diligently and with precision, you can earn a respectable amount while watching TV at night.

One thing to keep in mind when using MTurk is to maintain an acceptance rate of 90% or more. Quality work is essential, and you'll need to exercise caution when completing tasks. As a result, it is best to avoid errors as much as possible so that you can qualify for the more difficult hits. The biggest flaw with MTurk is that you'll need to invest time and effort to earn a decent living. However, it is worth the time you put in, and there are many great resources available on the website to help you get started.

Amazon Mechanical Turk Review: Amazon Mechanical Turk - Is It Worth Your Time?

Yo, let me tell you about Amazon Mechanical Turk. I gotta say, they sent me an email and it was pretty dumb. Check this out:

Hey, it's Amazon Mechanical Turk here. We checked out your account and sorry to say, you can't work for us. We have some secret criteria and we won't tell you why you got denied. But maybe we'll invite you later if we feel like it.

Anyway, thanks for being interested and stuff.
Peace,
Amazon Mechanical Turk

Like, seriously? What kind of secret review process is that? Ain't nobody got time for that. And I heard they only let Americans in now. That's just messed up.

I know someone in Canada who uses MTURK and now she's done with them and switching to clickwork.com. I don't blame her.

But to be real, MTURK can be a good way to make some cash online if you do get accepted. And it's not too hard to do tasks like surveys or data entry, as long as you're not expecting to get rich or anything. Just make sure you read the instructions carefully and don't mess up too much.

So yeah, that's my take on Amazon Mechanical Turk. They might be a bit secretive and rude, but hey, if you can make a few bucks, why not give it a try?

Amazon Mechanical Turk Amazon Mechanical Turk Review: Great for Extra Cash, but Beware Customer Service and Potential Risks

I had already shared my thoughts on Amazon Mechanical Turk, and after some time, I still believe it's a great way to earn some supplementary cash. However, when it comes to customer service, it's a different story.

One must be cautious about which Human Intelligence Tasks (HITS) they choose to accept. If you're working for a newbie requester, it's wise to start by doing a few tasks and observing their acceptance or rejection pattern. Failure to do so may result in several rejected hits, which could potentially lead to a negative rating and, in severe situations, account freeze or blockage.

Amazon treats its employees like algorithms instead of human beings, and this may result in random account suspensions. And if you leave your earnings in your account for too long without withdrawing them, you risk having your account suspended without warning, and your hard-earned money could vanish into the unknown.

Unfortunately, contacting customer service for assistance with such situations seems pointless, as all you'll receive is a canned response email. However, if you're aware of the potential risks and take necessary precautions, you could still make use of Amazon Mechanical Turk and earn a decent amount of extra money in your free time.

Amazon Mechanical Turk Review: mturk.com - A Cool Idea for Online Work with Some Caveats

I just wanna say, I really like mturk.com. It's a site where people who want stuff done can ask other people to do it for them and it's all done online. The people who want stuff done are called "Requesters" and the people who do the stuff are called "Workers." They don't even have to talk to each other!

I think this is a really cool idea and it could be the future of work for a lot of people. But sometimes the stuff they ask you to do is really boring and it doesn't pay very well. And the instructions from some of the Requesters can be really confusing so you end up doing stuff wrong without even knowing it.

And another thing, sometimes the tasks you're doing go against your personal ethics or beliefs, which is a bummer. But overall, I still think mturk.com is a good site and I'd probably recommend it to other people.

Amazon Mechanical Turk Review of Mturk: An Easy Way to Earn Extra Cash, With Some Cautions

Mturk is a great platform for those looking to earn some extra cash with minimal effort. With a low payout threshold of just one dollar, it's easy to cash out your earnings and receive a direct deposit in your bank account. The site offers a wide variety of tasks, or HITs, that are relatively easy and quick to complete, and many of these tasks pay a fair wage.

One thing to keep in mind, however, is that the rate of fraud seems to be increasing on the platform. While in the past it was nearly unheard of to not get paid for completing a survey HIT, this is becoming more common. That being said, most requesters for tasks are honest and will ensure that you are properly compensated for your work, so it's still a worthwhile endeavor.

Overall, Mturk is likely one of the better sites out there for those looking to make some extra money through surveys and other small tasks. It's important to be vigilant and aware of the potential for fraud, but as long as you take precautions, you should be able to earn some extra cash without too much hassle. Just remember to keep an eye out for your secret code at the end of a survey HIT, and be sure to take a quick break before submitting it to avoid accidentally losing out on payment!

Amazon Mechanical Turk A Review of Amazon Mechanical Turk: Earn Extra Cash on Your Own Schedule

I've been doing this thing called Amazon Mechanical Turk, or mturk.com, since about February and let me tell you, it's been a real lifesaver for me. I've made a little over $1000 now, which might not seem like a lot to some of y'all, but for me, it pays for my food, gas, and pocket money every week. And I get to save more money from my regular full time job too.

Now, let me be clear, this ain't no get-rich-quick scheme. It's low-paying work, but it suits my lifestyle just fine. See, I'm the kind of person who gets excited when I find pennies, dimes, and nickels on the sidewalks. So doing turk work is like finding those coins, but on a digital sidewalk. I don't put a lot of effort into it because it's just pocket change for me. I do it while I'm at work, and sometimes at night. I don't get too crazy and set alarms to snatch up good-paying HITs from international requestors like some people do. I just do what I can, when I can.

If I'm working on a HIT and I don't feel like it's worth it, I just return it and find another one. That's the beauty of this kind of work. You get to choose what you do and when you do it. But let me tell you, it's not easy work. You have to pay attention to every single detail and submit everything in the right way, or you might not get paid. And you have to read every single word, which can get tiresome after a while. But I've found that doing it as a hobby works for me.

There are some people who do this for like 8 hours a day and really go crazy with it. But that's not me. I tried doing it for 5+ hours a day once, and it drove me up the wall. I couldn't do it as a full-time job because it takes a lot of focus and dedication, and I just don't have what it takes. But that's just me. Some people really love turk work and make a good living off of it.

The highest paid HIT I've done was $6 for about 40 minutes of work. And there are some fun HITs on here every now and then too. Even the smaller $.05 or $.10 cent HITs can sometimes be a gem because they include bonuses in them. You start to learn which ones are worth your time and which ones you enjoy doing the most.

When it comes to getting paid, I choose to have the money direct deposited into my bank account. And it takes less than 24 hours for the money to hit my bank account, which is pretty sweet. But remember, you're a contractor for them, so you will have to pay taxes on your income when the time comes.

All in all, Amazon Mechanical Turk has been a great way for me to earn a little extra cash without putting in too much effort. It might not be for everyone, but if you're someone who likes to work at your own pace and earn a little pocket change, then I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.

Amazon Mechanical Turk Pros and Cons of Using Amazon Mechanical Turk for Earning Extra Cash

I've been using Amazon Mechanical Turk for a while now, and while it can be a decent way to make some extra cash, it definitely has its downsides. One of the biggest issues I've had as a worker is with requesters who don't fulfill their end of the bargain. It's frustrating to spend time on a HIT only to find out that it's impossible to complete or that the requester isn't going to pay you. Sometimes, the reasons for rejections are unclear, and it can be hard to argue your case. In one instance, a requester rejected my work because they didn't understand the mTurk report, even though there was no completion code required. Amazon took their side and let the rejection stand, which was hugely disappointing.

Another headache is the problems with mturk's filters. Even when I filter out HITs that I'm not qualified for, I still see a lot of them in my feed. Plus, some HITs are advertised in languages that I don't speak, which is not ideal.

Despite these drawbacks, there are still some good reasons to use mturk. Some of the HITs can be genuinely interesting or fun, and there are a few that pay well. Plus, if you have free time and don't mind doing some low-paying tasks, it can be a decent source of extra income.

All in all, I'd recommend approaching mturk with caution. Don't rely on it as your primary source of income, and be prepared for some frustration along the way. But if you're willing to put in the time and effort, there are some good opportunities to be found.

Amazon Mechanical Turk The Dark Side of Mturk: Unscrupulous Requesters Running a Low-Cost Labor Scheme Under False Pretenses

Mturk.com is a site that several marketers and universities use for collecting low-cost survey data and repetitive task completion for minimal fees. Once the workers complete their tasks, they receive payments as per the directions given to them. Nonetheless, just like any other system, there are certain types of requesters who mislead the pool of cheap labor, which ruins it for other truthful ones.

Some requesters are unscrupulous and use the Amazon.com mturk system for their self-serving ethic, likely motivated by the ease with which they can reject work and save themselves the agreed-to and required payment fees. When a worker gets rejected, there is no appeals process or investigation by Amazon. Additionally, the rejection and any untrue reasons provided by requesters through the Amazon automated system in bad faith negatively affect the profile of workers denied payment for their work.

The Congress needs to look deeper into this type of scheme, which is hidden behind the shield of a contract worker arrangement provided by the shrink-wrapped, boilerplate adhesion language in mturk's TOS. The legislature and courts need to assess the whole system to determine its compliance with basic public policies, as expected in any industrialized nation.

If such systemic false pretense engaged in by requesters using mturk routinely is not the key element of material fraud, then how else can it reasonably be described?

Currently, there is no rating system of the requesters provided by Amazon, and workers who accept work hits are in the dark about whether unscrupulous requesters might not pay them as per their agreements. However, the Turkopticon plugin, which is 3rd party, can offer some minimal measure of warning to the mturk worker pool.

Amazon Mechanical Turk Mturk.com Review: Payment Hassles and Customer Service Disasters - A Potential Scam

When I first stumbled upon mturk.com, I thought it was a prime opportunity to make a little extra cash on the side. However, let me tell you, the problems started rolling in faster than you can say "where's my payment?"

The first issue I encountered is that there's only one way to get paid - Amazon Payment. They require sensitive information, like your SSN and driver's license, just to sign up. I've never seen any other website demand such information. It doesn't help that they constantly deposit incorrect amounts into my Amazon Payment account either. It's highly unprofessional to be so careless with people's personal details.

The second issue is that payment is nearly impossible to receive. You have to wait at least ten days after your first "hit" before your earnings become transferable. And even then, you must provide them with information to verify your bank account. They ask you to log into your bank account (which makes me very uncomfortable) or upload a bank statement. I'm sorry, but why should I have to share such an enormous amount of personal information just to receive my $13? It's insanity.

Customer service is another disaster. Good luck trying to get ahold of anyone! The only option is to call and wait for someone from the "correct" department to email you back. When you finally receive an answer, it's completely automated and doesn't address your personal issue whatsoever. Instead, they just give generic advice without actually reading the email. It feels like your personal information is being held hostage!

It's been five days since I reported the issue, and I still haven't received a dime. Talk about a scam! I can't imagine I'm the only one who's experienced problems like these. If you're in the same boat, please comment below. Perhaps we can band together and start a class action lawsuit against this terrible company. It's the only way they'll shape up!

Amazon Mechanical Turk Be Careful: Scams on Amazon Mechanical Turk

Amazon Mechanical Turk, or mturk.com, is an excellent platform to earn money while working from home. However, I have recently noticed several scams on the site, which has led me to be cautious when selecting HITs (Human Intelligence Tasks).

While most HITs are legitimate, they pay a low wage and require a great deal of effort. Additionally, some HITS have a few warning signs that should be avoided. For example, when a base pay or reward is under 25 cents, but the bonus promised is significant, be careful, and avoid the request altogether. Recently, I did an HIT for a requester called Geneva Resort, which involved writing an essay and taking a vocabulary test for over one hour. The base pay was only one penny, with a bonus of nearly $12 promised. Even though Geneva Resort approved the HIT and paid the penny, they failed to pay the bonus, despite my contacting them repeatedly. Furthermore, Amazon support did not mediate any of our disagreements, and I had to do their work for free.

Another way requesters fail to pay for work done on their HITs is by having very short deadlines. You must complete the HIT and submit it to get paid before the deadline expires. If you miss the deadline, you cannot submit the task to get paid. A requester called Suan C once posted a job I accepted, without even checking the deadline duration. I finished the task in one sitting (10-15 minutes, max), submitted it and acquired my completion code before returning to the MTurk site to submit it, only to find out that the timer had expired. Again, the requester did not respond to my queries, and Amazon support was unresponsive, leaving me uncompensated for all my hard work.

The last thing I noticed was a time estimation problem. Requesters estimate the completion time, usually in the title, which allows you to compare the time to the allotted time. However, most requesters lowball the estimates and often mislead workers, forcing them to work much longer than expected for underpaid tasks.

In summary, Amazon Mechanical Turk is a handy way to make pocket money at home, but be prepared to encounter scammers who may refuse to pay you or pay you for very little. It is a last resort option, and you must be cautious while selecting and accepting tasks. Some requesters to avoid are Geneva Resort, Matt See, and Suan C.

Amazon Mechanical Turk Mturk provides TOS shield for fraud-engaging requesters

This is a site used by marketers and Universities to collect low cost survey data and repetitive task completion for minimal fees. In many instances, workers who complete tasks as per the directions receive payment.

However, as anyone who has been burnt by these scheming requesters who mess it up for all of the others well knows there are certain unscrupulous requester types who use the Amazon.com mturk system to ends more sinister than access to an unsuspecting pool of cheap labor.

These requesters follow a self serving ethic presumably motivated by the ease with which they can reject work and save themselves the fees they have already agreed to and are required to pay. A stiffed worker has no recourse through Amazon. There is no appeals process or investigation by Amazon. A requester can only be reported before the worker has any experience with her and only for a very narrow range of complaints evading work payment is not one of them. It gets worse. The rejection and any untrue reason(s) provided by the requester through the automated Amazon system in bad faith have a deleterious impact on the profile of the workers who have already been denied payment for their work.

The Congress needs to take a deeper look at this mturk system, which conceals these types of business practices behind the shield of a contract worker arrangement provided by the shrink wrapped, boilerplate adhesion language in their TOS. Legislature and the courts need to further assess the whole system to gauge its compliance with basic levels of public policy, acceptable in the reasonable standards expected in an industrialized nation.

If such systemic false pretense routinely engaged in by those requesters who make use of the mturk system to actively pursue the above-mentioned practices does not enumerate as the key elements of material fraud, then how else is it reasonably described?

There is no rating system of the requesters provided by Amazon. Mturk workers are in the dark when accepting a work hit that could result in non payment by one of these unscrupulous requesters meeting the above definitions. In the interim, a plug-in such as the one provided by Turkopticon can provide some minimal measure, though incomplete because of its 3rd party implementation, forewarning to the mturk worker pool.

Amazon Mechanical Turk Frustrating Experience Signing Up for Amazon HIT: Not Recommended

I just tried to sign up for the Amazon HIT thing and went through all the steps to set up my account. Then I got an email back saying that they can't open my account because they can't check my info for security reasons. I don't get it. I've lived at the same place, had the same email, and phone number for years and years. Plus, I've been an Amazon Prime member forever, so you'd think they'd know me by now. So I called them up several times and even sent them emails, but they just keep saying they can't tell me why I can't sign up. Real helpful, right? They keep telling me to set up a new email account and try again. Seriously? That's their solution? It's so frustrating. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend even bothering with this whole thing.

Amazon Mechanical Turk Warning: Amazon Mechanical Turk Scam Cost Me $270 and Over 8 Hours of My Time

So, I decided to try out Amazon Mechanical Turk, aka mturk.com. First, I made a "free" AWS account, as they required it. But, within a week, some hackers attacked me and took over my account. They charged me over $270, and I was so confused and angry. I had no clue how they did that to me.

I contacted AWS and learned that they can't close the account or refund my money without reversing everything done by the scammers. This process took me over 8 hours, as I had to change settings for a "server/database" the hackers had created. It was so time-consuming and frustrating.

Even though I didn't order any of the scam services that Amazon promotes, I still suffered a big loss. It's been over 3 weeks now, and I'm still waiting for my money back. I don't think I'm going to see it again. Such a nightmare!

I strongly advise you to stay away from this scam. Also, I think AWS should go bankrupt. They let their customers be vulnerable to such attacks, and then they don't do anything to help them. Such $#*!ing thieves!

Amazon Mechanical Turk Amazon Mechanical Turk does not accept international members: Disappointing and disrespectful

I recently tried to sign up for Amazon Mechanical Turk and was disappointed to find out that they do not accept international members. I scoured their website for any mention of this, but to my dismay, there was none. It feels like a huge waste of time to go through the registration process only to be rejected without any explanation.

It's frustrating and disrespectful to potential users who put in time and effort to explore a platform, only to find out they aren't eligible. The fact that Amazon Mechanical Turk does not mention this policy on their website is concerning, and it raises questions about their intentions.

I don't understand why a company as big and well-known as Amazon would behave in such a way. It's unacceptable for them to hide information from their users just to get more traffic to their site. This kind of behavior is not appropriate for a serious company like Amazon. I expected better from them.

It's disappointing to see that low-level work like this is still rampant in the industry. It's a shame that Amazon Mechanical Turk has resorted to such tactics. Hopefully, they will listen to their users and become more transparent about their policies in the future.

Amazon Mechanical Turk Amazon Mechanical Turk: A Nightmare of Shady Practices and Money Withdrawals

I was super excited to sign up for Amazon Mechanical Turk and start earning some extra cash. The sign-up process was easy peasy, but I ran into a little snag when it came to activating my account. I realized that I needed to add some money to my bank account before I could activate the account. No biggie, right?

Well, apparently it was a biggie because before I knew it, Amazon Mechanical Turk started withdrawing money from my account! And guess what? The withdrawal bounced, not once, not twice, but THREE times! I was NOT happy.

I immediately called and emailed them to try to get rid of the account and stop the withdrawals. They said it was no problem and that they would take care of it. But, lo and behold, they tried to take the money AGAIN! By the third day, they had taken $39.95 from my account and never returned it.

I was at my wit's end and decided to report them to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) for their shady practices. This whole experience left a bitter taste in my mouth and I wouldn't recommend this site to anyone. It turned into a nightmare before I even got the chance to start working with them.

Amazon Mechanical Turk Beware of Amazon Mechanical Turk: My Experience and Advice

I honestly don't understand what goes on with this website. I mean, I started using Amazon Mechanical Turk because it seemed like the greatest thing since sliced bread. I was looking for ways to earn some extra money on my free time and heard that this site had a lot of tasks available, so I thought I'd give it a try.

At first, everything was great. I found a bunch of tasks that I could do, and started doing them right away. I felt so good about myself because I was making some decent money doing tasks that were actually pretty easy to do. I started bragging about how much money I was making, and telling all of my friends to check it out.

But then something strange happened. They closed my account without giving me any explanation as to why they did so. I was devastated. I had lost all the money I had earned on the website, and I hadn't done anything wrong. I mean, I'm just a regular person trying to earn a living. What could I have possibly done to deserve this?

I'm not the only one who has had trouble with Amazon Mechanical Turk. A lot of people have been scammed by this website. But the thing is, this website is the only one in the market that has a lot of tasks available. Yes, I've searched up and down the internet, and all of the other task sites are either scams or have too few tasks.

It's so frustrating that we have to go through so much trouble just to make a few extra bucks. It's not easy for us regular folks to make money. We have to work hard every day just to be able to afford the basics. And when we finally find a way to earn some extra cash, we get screwed over by websites like this.

So, my advice to you is to be careful with Amazon Mechanical Turk. Yes, they have a lot of tasks available and some of them pay pretty well, but they also have a track record of banning people for no reason. Don't get too excited about the money you're making because it could all be taken away from you in an instant. Just be cautious and don't get your hopes up too high.

Amazon Mechanical Turk Disappointing Experience with Amazon Mechanical Turk: No Payment Approval and No Customer Service Help

I recently signed up for Amazon Mechanical Turk, also known as mturk.com. I went through the registration process and made sure I provided all my information correctly. Soon after, they asked me to show them proof of my identity, which I provided via passport. All my information was accurate, but to my dismay, my Amazon Mturk account did not receive approval for payment.

Desperate for a solution, I tried contacting customer service through email. Unfortunately, I didn't receive help with my issue, despite emailing multiple times. I wish there was a way to contact someone directly through a number, but it seems they don't offer that option. Instead, their responses directed me to email a specific address, ***@amazon.com. However, despite numerous attempts, I never received a response to my inquiries.

I feel disappointed that mturk.com was able to obtain my personal information for free but then suspended my account without any apparent reason. It's not right! This is insane.

Amazon Mechanical Turk Review of Mechanical Turk: A Platform for Microtask Workers

Mechanical Turk, or MTurk, was created to provide a platform for global workers to earn extra income from their homes. It started in 2005 and by 2011 it had already attracted workers from over 190 countries. However, due to the importance of English skills in working on the platform, Amazon later on limited the applications it accepted to only Americans. Unfortunately, it is unclear when this change took place, so perhaps one of you dear readers could shed light on this in your own review in the future.

One of the most appealing aspects of MTurk is that it allows workers to perform various microtasks, which could be anything from data entry, to survey participation, to content moderation, and much more. The rate of pay for each task varies and is often very low, sometimes even just a few cents for a few minutes of work. This means that for workers in countries with weaker economies, the opportunity to make a few dollars in a day could mean the world to them. However, for American workers, the pay can be very disappointing, especially when considering that they do all of these tasks from their homes, without having to commute or spend any money on resources.

Another key factor to consider is that the workers on MTurk are not regular employees but rather independent contractors, performing as their own bosses. This means that the typical regulations that apply to regular employees do not apply here, which unfortunately means that in many cases they are not protected by labor laws and may not receive a minimum wage. It's important to be aware of this status when considering doing work on this platform.

Despite the low rates of payment and lack of regulation, many people continue to find work on MTurk that suits their skills and lifestyle. The variety of tasks offered on the platform keeps the work interesting and engaging, making it an ideal option for those looking for ways to earn extra cash. So, for those interested in taking on microtasks and are comfortable with the risk associated with being an independent contractor, MTurk may be worth a try.

Amazon Mechanical Turk Beware of Unactivated Gift Cards from Amazon Mechanical Turk: A Negative Review

I once ordered a pre-paid Visa gift card on Amazon Mechanical Turk for $105.95, but when it arrived, it was unactivated! Imagine my surprise when I found out that the card was not working. I immediately called the Amazon Payment Inc customer service to fix the problem. However, they were not willing to take responsibility for the mistake, saying that it had been over 30 days since I ordered the card. They even claimed that I was supposed to use the card within 30 days to check if it was properly activated and had the correct balance, even though the card's expiration date was not until 2025!

To make matters worse, after looking at other buyer reviews on Amazon, it's clear that this is not just an isolated incident. Many other people also experienced the same issue with unactivated cards being mailed to them. It's really concerning that Amazon Payment would collect payments for unactivated gift cards, knowing that it would result in an unhappy customer.

In the end, I just want a refund for the card that I ordered. It's really frustrating when you have to go through all this hassle just to get your money back. Hopefully, Amazon Mechanical Turk can take steps to fix this issue and prevent it from happening in the future. Until then, I would advise buyers to be wary when purchasing gift cards from this site.

Amazon Mechanical Turk Amazon Mechanical Turk: A Great Platform Ruined by Company Decisions

I started using Amazon Mechanical Turk, aka MTurk, back in 2012 when I was looking for a side hustle. It was a great platform for me as a worker and I was able to earn more than $600 every month until 2017. It was great to find some extra work that I could do from home and earn money quickly.

However, at the beginning of 2018, something changed. I started to notice that my earnings went down drastically to just $80 monthly. I was quite confused and wanted to find out why this was happening. Eventually, I learned that Amazon had decided to increase their pricing from 20% to 40% which caused clients to leave the platform in frustration.

Personally, I think that this decision was not very cool of Amazon and the way they handled it was even worse. It has affected everyone who uses MTurk - workers like me who try to earn extra money, clients who use it as a source of cheap labor, and even MTurk as a company. I am quite irked by the fact that this decision has caused losses for everyone.

It is quite a shame to see how poor decisions can have such a negative impact on everyone's lives. I think that management should have handled the situation differently. Had they been more understanding about the situation, things might not have gone so awry.

In any case, even though my earnings have decreased substantially, I still use MTurk as a way to earn some extra cash. I just hope that the company realizes its mistakes and takes some much-needed steps to correct its course.

Amazon Mechanical Turk Making Extra Cash with Amazon Mechanical Turk: A Review

I gotta tell you, folks, Amazon Mechanical Turk (mturk.com) sure has been a lifesaver for me. You know how it is - we all need to make a little extra moolah here and there, especially lately, with all the craziness going on in the world. And let me tell you, I've tried a bunch of different survey sites in the past, some of 'em good, some of 'em not so much. But with Amazon Mechanical Turk, I've found something that really works.

Don't get me wrong, it's not perfect. Sometimes I'll spend what feels like forever filling out a survey, only to have it get rejected for some reason or another. That's the worst feeling, lemme tell you - all that time and effort for nothing. And I ain't even able to contact the requester to let 'em know how I feel, or to at least ask them why they can't cough up the cash. It's frustrating, to say the least.

But honestly, those situations are pretty rare. For the most part, I've found that Amazon Mechanical Turk has surveys that are easy to complete, pay pretty fairly, and don't take up too much of my precious time. And even when I do run into a problem, I know that there are plenty more surveys out there that I can try.

One thing I do like about Amazon Mechanical Turk is that there's a pretty wide variety of surveys available. Yeah, there are some that are just plain boring, like ones that ask over and over again which soda brands I prefer. But there are also ones that are pretty interesting, like surveys about politics or technology or even food. That helps keep things fresh and gives me something new to learn about while I'm making a few bucks.

All in all, I'd say that Amazon Mechanical Turk is a pretty solid option if you're looking to make some extra cash online. Just be prepared to deal with the occasional dud survey or reject, and you should be good to go.
