This game is not for you if you are not willing to spend thousands ($) of dollars! Impossible to f2p, additionally the devs are extremely greedy! keep pushing updates that extract more money from the players without fixing the countless bugs! Additionally, customer support is just useless! Do yourself a favor and spend your money/time elsewhere!

Been doing the game just over a year. They just had a BDay. This is a good game. It is not original in its platform but the story is good and there are of course elements unique to the game per se. There are a lot of side games and you do collect materials and resources quickly if you play regularly. I can attest, it is not necessary to pay to play. As that "IS" true, it depends on where you start. I got fortunate. Shout out to Meta and 115! This is a build and battle game and pay to play is of course the fastest approach. On that, there are affordable purchases. For the most part, I think they are on the expensive side. Price range is .99 to $100+. Don't join because of the ads. They are very misleading. There is virtually no element to the game represented in the ads I've watched. In all fairness, there ARE monkeys and bananas and an old penguin. I played Age of Empires prior to Age of Apes. Same game, same principle, nicer feel. AOA feels happier. It's brighter. I feel AOA does a better job providing long term success and retention with the way they work the base shields. They are plentiful and easy to get. The game play is pretty easy to learn. They teach you as you go and your Gang will help. I personally think the play screen is too busy. There are icons and indicators for the icons and indicators of the original icons and indicators. It's insane. I struggle because I can't get all the red dots to go away. I rarely to never use the roger announcements. It's just an orange flag you get used to. Those are small elements to the game however and likely for the newer player. Final thought, this is a very robust, interactive build your base and kick [censored] game. Yes, you want to get there fast you will pay for that. But you don't have to. One personal opinion, if you are going to be in the game for a while, SAVE everything you acquire as long as you can. You'll need that later in the game for when build times start being months long. Welp, that's my spin.

Game does nothing to online bullying or soliciting sex in the game if you spend alot you can do anything you want even when you send complaints in with scteenshots even death threats happen wish I had known before spending money in the game to just find out what they allow it happened most all 2023 especially November and December 2023 I'm sure complaints are off the charts those months with many others

This game stinks. First of all, we downloaded this game because of what we saw on the ads, on the ads they said that you ate bananas and got bigger, and jump through fences to get more territory. Second of all, the storylines are a big snore. Third of all, the game is not as fun as we thought it looked. We are super mad, and we will definitely not be playing this game anymore, straight to delete. Normally, we know that games are cheats, like the bingo games, where you can win “real money”, but we got caught in our own temptation! DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS GAME! I’m warning you, you’ll regret it ⚠️

Difficult to understand, as in, from one day to the next, assets go missing and changes are not explained by developers. TIME TO DELETE AND CUT MY LOSES.

What is Happening?! Game just does not explain the “Hows” or “Whys.” BUT IT DOES CHARGE FOR EVERYTHING: Getting “nickel and dimed” for everything in this game.

I’d give this 5 stars if I could figure out how to play with friends! Apparently my buddy is on another server than me so we can’t play together and he can’t join my gang I mean that’s doesn’t make sense he’s tried looking me up and the gang and still nothing then he says are we in different servers and I said idk but I feel like that’s shouldn’t matter because we can’t control what servers we get out on especially since he downloaded the game a week after I did so how are we to play together or get on the same servers? Can someone help please! I don’t wanna restart just to play together but I feel like that’s the only option because than at least we can select the same server to play on

Something is wronge with the way this game bills and gives you packages I was trying to purchase them I thought it was me they weren’t applying so I’d try again or another well it billed me for all the things while I was trying to get it to work I didn’t get it costing me the games battle. I did call apple customer service they did issue me a refund as I told them the billing issues interfere with the game particularly whe you need a timoly response to beat a distributor then all the sudden I go back in the game a ton of packages I did t buy pop up as if I bought them saying they have arrived. What the heck. Anyway the packages amount to allot of money they ai only wanted one on. Apple was able to give money back on some not the apply game weekly 4.99 package but did cancel this.

I never understood the purpose of advertising your game through other games and once consumers like the ad and download it, with the expectation of the game being like the ad; your game turns out to be different. The visuals, game play everything is different. Please stop the false advertisement and do better.

My response to developers reply 5/12/23: Unfortunately I cannot continue to support because your game is misleading and unlike the advertisement. You too, know that you utilize the ads as an attention grabber. Read the other honest reviews, I’m not the only one that is aware of this. I know it takes a lot to develop a game and you may want people to love what you’ve created but misleading consumers is not the way to go. I saw the ad multiple times and it caught my attention but I was truly disappointed after downloading your game. Best of luck in the future.

I agree! Sea game could of been an awesome game to play for a very long time! But! They allowed I think the Asian community to just be stupid and destroy servers! SMH! I feel bad for the good honest players being crapped on but I do have a little bit of a smile because I warned with my last post on the server I was on to the Asian players they were going to destroy the server and before you know it..server be dead and or shut down and by the way I have no problems with Asians.. I love Chinese women LOL and the other games I’m playing? The Asian community is fine.. I’m not sure what was up with that game & the Asian players?! ! But these devs? I don’t trust them as far as I can throw them! I played the other war game the one with the female leaders… that game I will admit it stayed pretty even it wasn’t too bad but it got very boring.. if you’re looking for a game that’s relatively new…look into warpath, it is from the developers who make rise of kingdoms… awesome game!

This kills my boredom, now it is pay to be ahead of competition so to speak, but it also has the social environment. I dropped Facebook off of my agenda and utilize this app to be somewhat social.

Just a heads up, some people will dump 1000’s into this for what ever reason they see fit, but it can be enjoyable if you get a tight nit group of people on here to play with.
I’m hoping for a server merge soon, I play on server 57, and now 79.
It is easy to switch between servers.
The translation system could be tweaked a bit and a lot of the censorship needs worked on but overall if you’re looking to kill time, this be the game for you.
Be advised this game doesn’t filter people and their sick intentions so parents that do read my review watch over your kids shoulder. I’ve reported multiple sickos trying to get in touch with other players in a bad way, the reporting system is up to par and they act swift to solve any issues that arise, such as cyber bullying or the other scary stuff that comes with online connection.

This game legitimately had a Facebook ad that compared in-game cinematics to in-game graphics and then claimed the cinematics weren’t identical to the game graphics, but it was close and it is a fun game. That’s paraphrasing but the point is… they made an ad about cinematics compared to gameplay and then the actual game the game has doesn’t even use the gameplay that they used in the ad? What a JOKE. You can’t showcase cinematics vs gameplay and then use gameplay that isn’t from your game! The game is fun so I’ll give it a Star, but take your 1 Star review for false advertising your own ad that is supposed to show it isn’t false advertising? Reporting these games to Apple is easy. Keep these companies in line or else the future of entertainment is always going to be bait and switch. I’m sick of it.

Edit to dev response: No. you portrayed this game as one thing and then flipped it while actually playing. That’s called bait and switch and is illegal in many markets, and is against Apple TOS and they have a report description for that under scam/fraud. Why even come onto reviews and lie MORE. 1for you. Like all there games, there not player balanced. The very high level preys on lower, There are no way to win in any planning. High level players dominate every event, prey on lower, so there no way one can advance without paying hundreds of dollars in shields and quickly advance.. There no way to plan. These games are not about skill and planning, more a arms race who has bought something other player does not have. If everything was even, and everything available to all, then it would be about skill and planning. If your the type will pay to win this company will treat you will, but price high and you better continue to pay or you end like the rest of us never getting anything for endless hours of playing a very badly designed game, made to make money for those that more likely never play games to know how badly these game are. There are solutions like giving unlimited shields for levels in the early stages, once you get high enough to defend yours through planing and skills, the unlimited free shields are removed. You Tool given to low level players to even out the high level. In oder to be a planning and skills game you have to be balanced and even for all, but it’s not. Unless you like giving your money away, this is not a game for a true gamer….

This game is Pay To Win. I’ve seen players spend upwards of $10 USD per day to become huge. Then they bully you for no reason.

They claim that they are “farming” you for resources, but when they are level 30, the resources you have below level 20 are pocket change to them.

It’s a very sad community of broken people.

Many of the players in this game are abusive and racist in the chat. There are a lot of players in Asia, and the Middle East that say abhorrent things and then claim “I’m not American, so I can say those things because I don’t know any better.”

The worst players on the server I played on were straight up egomaniacal narcissists. They’d get in the live feed and just spew outright garbage to make themselves sound like important people in the game. The MEOW gang leader was a complete tool. Lying, being deceitful, social engineering, and distrust are the only ways to get ahead in this game outside of spending tons of money on in app purchases.

Like many of the other reviews, I was sold on the puzzle aspects, which after level 10 just disappear. The variety of the games dwindles as you get bigger and soon you are continually pushed to buy upgrade packs to stay competitive.

What other reviewers say is 100% true. One or two gangs get huge by spending, then form a clan. Finally you are constantly bullied and attacked by them making the whole game play experience nothing more than a daily annoyance.

Update - the devs and customer service are scammers. I have communicated my points directly with their in-game customer service. Customer service either parrots what their management tells them to or is a poor excuse for customer service. When I brought up a vip-level customer service they told me if I wanted that level of customer service I need to download and use other, unrelated apps.

I stand by my original review and wish Apple would take them off the App Store and totally reimburse every player who has made any purchase in this game. Nobody should play this game, not even on a free-to-play manner.

Original review: Do not play tap4fun games. The devs exploit players wanting to have fun, making it impossible to be competitive unless you pay a ton of money or play for several years. Recently, a bug was exploited that a few players discovered and took advantage of, making them significantly stronger than everybody else. Rather than giving back the game resources, troops, and other items used to recover from this, the developers sent some players a meaningless reward that only helped recover very little assets. The developers punish players when the developers create ingame mistakes, but also punish players when they allow other players to exploit their (developers) mistakes. No recourse or punishment was made against the players that cheated, they were allowed to receive rewards and continue to play as if nothing had happened.

This game does nothing but encourage people to bully, harass, and troll other players in what is the most toxic environment I've ever experienced in a game. It starts off by acting like you're just playing by yourself in a game that is actually a fun city builder with cool mini games, but then after a short tutorial you are suddenly dropped into a world with other players without warning who will troll and harass you by attacking your city unprovoked. Wiping out all your progress by removing your resources and troops that you spent days building up. There is no option to play single player, even though the game starts off as if you are playing a single player game. There are absolutely no protective measures to make the game fair for other players. Anyone who wants to pay money to improve their progress and be dozens of levels higher than you can just attack you at any moment and there is nothing you can do about it. Worst off, it can be done with zero warning. It can happen while you're not even in the game so you don't even have a chance to defend yourself, not that it would matter since the people attacking you have much stronger armies. Worst still is the game assigns "overlords" who are the leaders of your planet meant to be trusted in leading your planet in battles against other planets, but these people can also attack and backstab you. This game is absolutely terrible and has no protective measures against online bullying and harassment and again, the game even encourages it. The developers should be ashamed for encourage toxic online behavior.

Okay this is probably my very first honest review for a iOS Game and firstly I wanna say it’s pretty well rounded. Loads and loads of special events and I love the community dynamic in it. I know a lot of people say it is a pay to play game and I will be honest and say it CAN be if you aren’t staying active and actually trying. But if you are actually checking in everyday, upgrading your city and troops constantly then you should be perfectly fine. I would also like to put out there that once you are settled and can join a gang then that will help you A LOT from getting attacked by other players but try to get your power to at least over 1 Million so that you can apply for a high ranking gang. I know getting your city attacked can be the most annoying thing but know it’s just part of the game and to not get too angry about it. It’s definitely not the end . Also I wanna state that I know getting high rankings in the events is very hard and almost near impossible to do with all the paying players in the game but know that is almost unavoidable in all iOS games unless you are playing Apple Arcade games where there aren’t any in-app purchases. But you could still aim for being top #50-#100 Globally Ranked by just being diligent and consistent in the game. Make sure you plan and know what type of challenges are coming in later dates and make sure you save your speed ups and buffs for those specific days and you will make sure to rank up and get lots and lots of good prizes!

What I would like to say I hope they add to the game soon is that we are able to take a peek into other players cities and see how it’s being built up and decorated because you can organize your city anyway you like but aren’t able to show the world it’s beauty at the moment .

All in all the game to me is a good time waster and cool way to connect with other friendly apes (Friends). Good graphics and AMAZINGLY DOPE fighters to choose from. The fighters also have pretty interesting Bios that I suggest taking a quick read into whenever you get a chance. And the events are really fun and interesting. I really hope the Developers put their all into this game and really take the players suggestions into consideration because we put a lot of time and effort in this game and all we hope for in return is steadily better content consistently in the future please lol

hi . today , 6/12/2023 , I made 2 time purchase on cyclone rally . on first purchase , ' wild runner ' it sucessfully . but on second purchased , " champion runner " , it sucessfully to BUT , nothing happen . credit has been deducted from my bill but the item is still locked and I can't claim the reward. here I attach proof of purchase and proof of item still locked.

I cannot log into the game since I did the last update. Every time I try it just freezes on the loading screen and nothing happens. And I cannot contact anyone through the game. I’ve tried but with no success. When I google how to contact human customer service this is the link I get. I put some money into this game so I would like to continue. I’ve tried everything from deleting the app and reinstalling. i can’t delete the data as well just the app, as my game isn’t linked to anything so I dont want to lose my progress. I even Updated my phone to see if that would work and still just freezes on the load up screen.

On September 24th 2023, I was playing Fortress Take Over and I filled the Piggy Bank up to 2,500 CD’s. Once I had the option to purchase the Piggy Bank full of CD’s, I clicked “Claim” and after my purchase I did not receive one single CD. I’m highly disappointed, I really love this game. That one action just ruined it. Keep in mind this is the first time I purchased something.

This game is stupid, it is just like any other “city builder” game but with more restrictions. You need to buy anything and everything in order to gain any strength and it gets to a point where the challenges become impossible unless you pay for add ons, very annoying and frustrating, don’t waste your time.

This game is just another tower take over game. It’s nothing what they show on the ads.

Response to developer. The ads show nothing that happens in the game for the first 10 minutes of gameplay. That’s all I got through because this game is nothing what I expected it to be because of your false advertisement.

Stole products out of my account because they said they made a mistake on the probabilities. Then take forever for customer service to actually respond and have an intelligent conversation. Ultimately would not give back my products, or my money, or even offer a resolution for what they admit was their mistake.

The rate at which you spend to level up doesn’t make up for the fact that there is little to no way to upgrade legendary fighters effectively. You have to spend tons of money to even get medals to increase skill levels which isn’t right. There should be more ways to purchase medals and gene potions to level up legendary fighters

I played 1 day straight the game seemed fun until I made it to level 9 or 10 now i gotta pay just to continue playing or wait 7 hrs and bi just tryna get back and continue building but the multi transaction ruined my curiosity i also paid $3 to keep playing and never got what I paid that’s why this game a 2

Must not have passed the first one? Anyway they censor words like freedom and think it fun and games when you talk to contact support. Not only did my rights but the rights of a 1,000,000 people who play.I don’t care what any comments comes after this. I have screenshots and plenty. Also, they do not address true racism when a complaint is made.

This game is run by a company out of Hong Kong. They don’t follow USA laws. You spend hundreds of dollars on upgrade packs and then the unethical company steals all your progress by resetting all the upgrades you just spent the money on. It’s a breach of fair gaming and at the heart of it, it’s fraud. Report this shady and unethical fraudulent company

Game is awesome and fun but there are too many bugs. I spent money to level up then my main fighter and suddenly disappeared with my troops. Game freezes, crashes and item and resources disappear all of a sudden. If you play play for free or run the risk of loosing digital purchased items. Customer service is a machine so good luck getting a human to help.

I have very bad experience. This game has a lot of bugs(it is Ok) but when they steal money it is nog good. After 2 months playing with subscription, my subscription was cancelled in the middle of month. I provided all evidences about payment but support told me sorry we don't see any payment. When I try to pay again I get message sorry but you already have subscription. It is vicious circle.

Could be an amazing game but it is extremely buggy with the worst customer service possible. Have been cheated out of so many hours of event items and when I contact someone for help they just keep cycling to different agents and asking the same questions. Useless makes for terrible game experience don’t waste your money or time. Many better games that help more than this if something goes wrong.

So I’m playing my game, which unfortunately has all these ads, when I see this ape collecting boxing gloves and hitting other apes. I ignore it, but eventually I download it. The game itself has nothing to do with the ad, and I loathe games that do that. The actual game mechanic is the boring this house has 15, the enemy house has 10, which will win? Seriously? Yeah there’s a little base-builder thrown in, but I am not ten years old. Delete.

An ad I saw on a video shows a gameplay, and when I got the game is was different, even if that gameplay would be in The game later on, it is false to advertise something the customers don’t get. Regardless if the ad is only part of the game, the ad should display a general sense of the game not a whole diff play when actually get the game, or atleast show multiple diff levels in the ad. Showing a GENERAL OVERALL play through, not one specific level.

This game had a bug that accidentally gave double rewards to a lot players. And now the developers locked those players accounts until they “payback” the extra rewards they received on accident with actual money. Something that was the developers fault not the players. Ya’ll just ruined most of my team with your corrupt business practice. Keep in mind that these “rewards” cost the company absolutely nothing, its rewards you typically get from casually playing the game. Horrible customer service.

Same issue with all of these other play to win style games where one older, wealthier, and larger gang will never let you grow. The 1 gang is full or you are too weak to join. You try to grow but are constantly farmed as the are bored with nothing else to do. The 2 largest gangs joined to my one large and now control the my whole server. The game is no longer fun even though my gang is the 4th largest gang. We are farmed every week to the point the server is dying.

Save time and money by not starting this game

This game is cool being two days exploring it . But there are some servers issue or something that simply is freezing the game. I have to deleted and re isnatalled back and works but later going through the screens within the app its crash. For now I will dleted and later give a try. All my others apps works great and this only happens with this game. May be to many users!. Please work on that. I write to them , but still no asnwer, Since is not

I downloaded this because the ads I kept seeing for it made it look like a puzzle or collection game, but ended up being yet another “base building” game like so many others out there.
The only reason I’m giving more than one star is because it DOES have puzzle mini games but these are thrown in like afterthoughts and don’t affect the rest of the game.
The main point of the game is to build a base on a giant map, join a gang of other players, and try to work with other people to make your gang bigger and stronger than the others. If you’re into that kinda thing, then enjoy.
