Back in 2011, I was diagnosed with Asthma, due to Allergies and it turns out to be that I'm allergic to; Dogs, Cats, Dust, Dander, Pollin, Fungal Spores and a bunch of other Nature related allergens. Even the Winter Cold can effect my Asthma. My Allergist had me try about a dozen different Asthma Medications and the only Medication that effectively worked for me was Advair. I have been using Advair for about 12 years now with great success and with no problems.

From time to time, Aetna / CVS would complicate things for me and not honor the Scrip written by my Doctor, which is "Dispense as Written." Aetna / CVS would give me the Generic equivalent, which does not work for me. Everyone says that Generic is the same, but it's not and most of us know that. The Ingredients in Advair and the Generic equivalent may be the same, but the Ingredient levels in each are completely different from one another. The reason why I'm including CVS into my complaint, is because CVS purchased Aetna Insurance years ago and created a Monopoly and our Justice Department gave them the opportunity.

In the past, I would pay between $13.00 and $18.00 for Advair. In May 2023, I saw my Doctor for my yearly Check up and my Doctor called in a new Script, for Advair, "Dispense as Written" with 12 refills and that should bring me up to May of 2024. From May 2023 and the way up to December 2023, Aetna / CVS was not charging me for Advair. In January 2024, I should have had 5 refills of Advair remaining, but Aetna / CVS wanted to mess with me again and deny my refill of Advair in January 2024. My Doctor got involved and filed an Appeal, which was also denied by Aetna / CVS and I am now faced with taking a Generic equivalent, which will not work for me. Aetna / CVS makes it difficult for me to get my Medication.

When I am forced to use a different Medication by Aetna / CVS, I will get very sick and it becomes difficult for me to Breathe and catch my Breath. When that starts to happen, I will get Bronchitis Spasms (Wheezing, Cough, Fatigue, Fever) and that could turn into Pneumonia. I know this for a fact, because I have gone thru this many times before.

I hate Aetna / CVS, because they care more about Profits for themselves, over Patient care. They are not Doctors and they think they know more about me, than my own Doctor.

Desired outcome: Aetna / CVS needs to quit <span class="replace-code" title="This information is only accessible to verified representatives of company">[protected]</span>@#king around with people and "If" it's not broken, don't try and fix it.
