Poor craftmanship and poor customer service. The job was a small porch and after 18 months it will have to be rebuilt.

The Ballard Home Service crew helped me finish a few rooms in my basement. They were nice to work with and did a great job. When I have more projects in the future I plan on calling Ballard Home Service to do the work.

Ray Ba*** and his team are a 5 star outfit. They are our go to company for anything we need at our home. It doesn't matter how small or big our need has been, they have been able to accomplish the task. They have come out to install fans, and just recently completely replaced our fence and rebuilt our deck. The best part about Ballard is they are able to take on the job fast. I text or call Ray with my need and he takes care of it that week. Highest recommendation! Great company.

We hired Ballard Home Service LLC to sand our deck, put up new posts and rails, and paint it. The job took more than 3 months, and we had to hire someone else to fix their mistakes. They put up posts (almost all of them) that weren't straight, and then tried to force the rails and iron to fit. It was a disaster. They sent people to fix it, but we still have iron rails that aren't parallel and paint all over them. Ray *** didn't even bother to come and inspect the finished work. He didn't check if it was acceptable or complete. When it comes to following building codes, he attempted something that would have been unsafe and against the rules, but we made him correct it. I wouldn't recommend this company.

I just had a screened in back porch installed and it was not a good experience. The workmanship was terrible. There were many issues that were not properly addressed. We have had several leaks because they didn't use any flashing. The shingles they used don't match the ones on the house at all - they are a different style, color, and brand. The screen they used is extremely thin and it already has two holes in it. When they came to fix it, they just put little square patches on the holes that didn't even match the screen. They also tried to fix a leak with some tar material and ended up getting it on the siding of my house. After they put the mismatched patches on the screen, I told them not to bother coming back anymore. I have hired another contractor to come and fix all these problems.

Ballard took $6462.50 down payment in October 2022 to work on my daughter’s house. Never showed up. Never did the work. Would not return the money. Excuses. Finally, took him to court. He no showed court after being served. Default Judgement from the Fayette Co Magistrate on 29 August 2023 against Ballard. He still will not return the money. Please go to the Fayette Co Court and check for yourself.

I contacted Ballard Home Service LLC in May for updates on a 1,600 sq. ft. house that I was purchasing. Throughout the process, I made it clear about my closing date on June 15th and my move-in date before July 19th. On June 7th, I paid $4,487.50, which was 50% of the quote. On June 15th, I gave him the key. However, as time passed, I started to worry that the work was not being completed. He provided me with excuses and reassurances, promising that everything would be done.

On July 9th, he asked for an additional $2,500. Despite this, the luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring was still not installed by the move-in date of July 16th, and the master bathroom remained unpainted. After three days of LVP installation (which occurred after I moved in), only about half of the job was finished. The floors looked terrible, with uneven surfaces and large gaps. It was evident that his workers did not know how to properly install LVP. I informed him that I no longer wanted him to touch my floors.

Moreover, the GFCI outlets they installed do not work at all, the fans do not function correctly, and the paint job is of poor quality. Additionally, the yard was never mowed, the outside lights were never fixed, and the windows were left unrepaired. The house is in a complete mess, and I will have to start all over again with the LVP installation.
