Whites Mini Horse and Donkey Farm review: Siberian kittens 5

First I want to say that this place is filthy and appalling! When you walk in the door it smells so bad. Not only does it smell like cat pee, there is dog feces all over the house. They have several very noisy little dogs and a few adult cats.
I went there to look at a kitten. This person, Mike the owner of Whites Mini Horse and Donkey Farm was going to replace from another breeder she owned cats with, Dean Dilator who sold me a kitten that died after only having him a couple of weeks. I should have taken more time to think this through.
After giving me a very long speech that seemed more like a lecture on the phone about never buying a kitten from someone who will not let you in their house and wants to meet you somewhere else, we set up a time for me and my kids to visit her cats. Mike did tell me on the phone that she did not have kittens available at the time but a friend of hers did. Shortly after we arrived some woman showed up and took a cage out of the back of her car with kittens! My kids were heartbroken that their kitten died so at this point we were desperate to replace the kitten. The woman came in with the cage and kittens and put it on the kitchen table. I don't know who this person was or where she came from, we were never introduced. She was not conversant and seemed pretty agitated. I can only assume this was the friend that also had Siberians. What I don't know is why I was not directed to her house to see the kittens? Why did she need to bring the kittens to Mikes house? Again, I should have thought more about this.
I stayed for about a half an hour talking with Mike who monopolized the conversation by talking about how long she has been breeding cats and how great a breeder of Siberians she is. The smell of urine and face's was really beginning to make me nauseous.
As we were getting ready to leave my son needed to use the bathroom. On the way to the bathroom we walked through what looked like a TV room that had dog feces and a puddle of urine on the floor. There were a couple of large cages that looked like cats were kept in. There were what looked like disposable diapers spread on the floor too but obviously the dogs don't use them. We dodged that and went into the bathroom where we found another pile of feces and more urine on the floor. I couldn't get out of this place fast enough. I told the owner we would be in touch and left.
When we were about to get in the car there was a man who asked the kids if they wanted to meet the horse so the kids and I topped and talked with him for a while. He was very friendly and he introduced us to a horse and a mule. He asked the kids if we bought a kitten. I said I was going to talk with my husband and we were going to think about it. He told me this woman who brought the kittens was Corinne or Conny and brings her kittens to the farm to be seen because she lives in a old trailer park in some other town and she doesn't want people in her house! Informative man...
We unfortunately did get a kitten from here because we were already in debt not only $1200.00 for the kitten but close to $800.00 in vet bills for the kitten that died, so I bit the bullet and took the risk. Not surprising we had several issues with colds and a bladder infection with this cat when she was a kitten. She is now an adult and seems healthy but only time will tell. Please, Please avoid this breeder, her filthy house and her hypocritical speeches!I It's really hard to witness the death of a kitten when you are only 7 and 9. And it's even harder as a parent to see this happen to you're kids! Make sure you take the time to really investigate who you are buying a pet from. Get names of previous buyers and talk to them! People who are happy with a pet purchase are more than willing to talk with you!
