I have had a contract with Vodacom for more than 4 years and I am shocked at the treatment I am getting from them.
Last year I experienced financial difficulties and I was unable to pay most of my accounts on time including the vodacom account. In December my account was deleted and I called in and was advised that I need to go to their Vodashop to have it reactivated. On the 31/12/2013 the documents were sent and I never received feedback from them until I called again only to be told the forms were incorrect and I need to have the re completed. I asked the consultant at the time what i had to do to ensure that I can get the same number. She advised that it normally takes about 30 days for the number to be reallocated or given back to the company that issued the number. Since I had ported the number from MTN I also checked with them and they advised on several occasions that the number was not on their network.
The consultants at Vodacom do not want to assist me with getting my number back and MTN advised that the number has not been sent back onto their network.
I am so unhappy with how this matter was handled from when I called in to get the line reactivated to date.
All I want is to have my number back, whether and I am being told there is nothing I or anyone can do. They had prised me that I would get it back and now they are telling me a whole lot of stories.
On to p of that I now have to pay another additional amount even though I had paid the full outstanding balance quoted to me...

I am facing the same thing 😕 and it is so hard to me to retrieve my data… How do I fix this

Please assist as my number was ported to Telkom from Vodacom in 2017. I cancelled my Telkom contract as I wanted it prepaid. Now my number has been deleted but on the CRDB database is shows it is active with VODACOM and therefore has gone back to Vodacom but they say it is not there. Was done 2 weeks ago and have been struggling since then.

Im going through exactly the same - i have had my number for more than 15 years. I had fallen behind on my contract and moved to a prepaid. I tried to pay off whenever I could towards the outstanding balance - yet they just deleted my number - no warning, no SMS, no phone call. And its my business number, my business will likely now close because of this! THe idiots on the other side of the line don't even try to assist you! Too bad so sad, goodbuy!

Hi. My name is Nokuthula Majola and my number was deleted since the 1st of November due non payment of my Vodacom contract. What i don't understand is why the number is deleted rather that being blocked. I would like to have my number back [protected]. Because i have made arrangements to pay outstanding balance. It just doesn't make sense for Vodacom to delete the number without any warnings.

Vodacom is useless I have been fighting the same battle with them and just gave up, no sms, no call, no warning before they delete the number, I will never use them again
