Camping World - Horrible service/2018 Crossroads Sunset Trail

This camper is supposed to be made for colder weather with enclosed water pipes to prevent them from bursting. Within the first year after buying the camper, the heater broke during a bad freeze causing the pipes to burst. I brought the camper in to camping world to fix the heater, pipes and to fix a small hole in the back outside panel that I made. Camping world will not uphold their promises with the warranty! It’s a scam! They refused to fix the water pipes, saying it was user error, even after all of their technicians said it wasn’t! I got charged for the whole back panel but they only replaced a small piece and then broke off 3/4 of the screws and didn’t fix it! After being at the shop for months they tried to charge me for storage because I couldn’t pick it up right away after they were done with it because I was working out of state. Then after I told them the date and time and that I would be picking it up in the middle of the night, they called the cops and told them I was stealing a camper off their lot! It was a good thing I bought all of my paperwork with me, but that took half the night dealing with the police, negating the reason for picking it up in the middle of the night (to avoid Houston traffic). When I bought the camper I was told the warranty covered everything from a flat tire to busted pipes and that they would pick the camper up and put me in a hotel room while it was being repaired. That was a lie. I paid the extra money for the camper because I believed all of the lies I was told about the great warranty. Apparently the warranty doesn’t cover anything! And on top of that I get sent emails every week saying my warranty is expired and needs to be renewed and to send money when my warranty won’t be expired for 4 years. Not that it matters. It isn’t worth the paper it’s written on!

Camping World - Can't get my R.V. fixed even after I bought very expensive full service policy.

I have been dealing with Diana Allen service representative at the Campers World located at 19302 Interstate 45 in Spring Texas regarding my Thor 2020 Windsport on several warranty items. She will not call or e-mail my wife or I back regarding parts and repair of our motor home. The last time I called she apologized for not e-mailing my wife back or calling us and reassured us it would not happen again and I would get a call back the following day on the status of our parts that have been on order for six months. It is pathetic after spending the kind of money I have spent with Campers World that we are treated like this 'repeatedly' every time we try to get service at either the Katy Texas location or the Spring location. I will be filing another complaint with the better business bureau and sadly turning this over to my attorney. It has been six months that our motorhome has been setting in the garage waiting on parts or an update from the service rep!

Desired outcome: Fix my motorhome!

We are dealing with a very similar issue with Richmond, Indiana CW. Bought the expensive ($7K) warranty from CW two years ago for our 2015 Itasca Suncruiser 35P class a (which we also bought from CW). To simplify it, out hot water tank went bad while travelling last April into May. We drove unit to Richmond on May 18th for inspection and warranty claim. While it was hell getting the warranty approved after a month or so, we still don't have our unit back. We were told it was a direct fit, which I knew was not correct, since I had already contacted Winnebago and they told me Atwood had been sold twice with no direct replacement. I gave this info to Jimmy who proceeded to assure me their parts guy ordered the direct replacement. Well guess what? The hot water tank unit came in on July 26th and low and behold we get the call from Jimmy telling us, it wouldn't fit. It's now August, missed several preplanned camping trips (non-refundable). In addition to the frustration of CW's complete incompetency, their not returning calls. Summers gone and our grandkids go back to school in 10 days. IM thinking maybe a class action suit?
