I'm a 73-year-old woman who made an app't for a COVID Vaccine online. I drove a fairly long distance to get to the store where I stood in line for 20 min. When they got to me, they spent another 10 minutes on the computer after which they told me they were unable to call up my app't. and couldn't give me the vaccine. They said I could go to any OTHER CVS as a walk-in and get the vaccine. When I got to the second store (after an even longer drive), they told me that wasn't correct information, that they really weren't accepting walk-ins and since I had a standing order at the other store, they also couldn't give me the vaccine! However, an employee at the second store was able to figure out how to order a vaccine for me after a very short wait. Kudos to her. When I called the complaint line about the first store, the girl just kept repeating that "Oh, you know how the internet is. There's really nothing we can do about it; it's not OUR fault!" After speaking with her, I was even more angry than I was about the original complaint. A drug store that is responsible for the health of human beings should have a reliable computer system. Someone should be available to troubleshoot any problems that arise or a back-up plan should be in place even if it involves doing things by hand and entering it in the computer later. Treating customers like this is completely unacceptable.
Desired outcome: I would like someone higher up in the company to call me with an apology and inform me that they have done something to insure this doesn't happen to another customer. It also wouldn't hurt to be offered some coupons or store credit.
