I went to the the Acro AM PM on Lankershim and Riverside, in North Hollywood, CA, on September 23, 2015. I was standing in line and a gentleman was before me. There were 2 employees who were behind the register, Maria the manager, and Norma. They were arguing behind the counter, in front of the gentleman and myself. He waited patiently for them to finish arguing and to finally assist him. Norma left, but when it was my turn to be helped, she came back and they began arguing again. I tried being patient, but it was 2:25pm and I had to be at work in Pasadena at 3:00pm. Anybody who lives in North Hollywood knows that the 134E gets heavy traffic after 2-2:30pm. I had no choice, but to tell Maria the manager, "Maria, please, can you help me? I'm going to be late for work." Maria turned to me and responded, "You have to wait. I have to help the employees first." I told her, "I'm sorry, but I'm late, can you please help me?" She didn't respond again, but was upset. I don't think that, that was appropriate customer service. I've been in the hospitality industry for 15 years. Never have I ever heard that an employee comes before the Guest/ customer when it comes to service. Even the owner of this location never says "hello." I've been a customer for this location over 5 years.
