I paid close to $1,000 for my family of four to apply for passports on April 4, 2023. I paid for expedited service and overnight delivery and was told that I would have my passports within 7-9 weeks. At week 9, I had heard nothing. I called the National Passport Line, was hung up on by their automated system over 22 times, but finally got through to be put on hold for one hour and 33 minutes. I spoke with an agent who assured me that he would contact the office processing my passport to rush it. At 11 weeks, and only five days out from my date of travel outside of the country, neither myself or my husband had received our passports. I contacted the office of Ted Cruz and the office of John Cornyn for assistance... no response. Shocker. I called the Passport Hotline again, was on hold for only 85 minutes this time, then spoke to a rude agent who basically told me I wasn't going to get it in time for my trip. He told me I needed to make another face to face appointment, but there weren't any available, so I was screwed. He offered no assistance in expediting the process, and was like, "Have a good day. Bye." Guess my two kids are going to Belize without their parents next week. Totally ridiculous.

Desired outcome: I want a refund on my vacation, passport fees, and a sincere apology. I am out over $6,000 as my family cannot travel out of the country.
