I worked with smardata on a project who took 8 months intead of 3 months. They always required more money, they are really not professional and they don't know their job. My website is a ### now, i spent more of 12000$ with them. I am very disappointed and they totally don't care if their client are happy or not.
They will always say, we are trying to give you the best service, we are looking for your satisfaction, THEY ARE A LIAR !
Never work with them, you have lot of good companies in India but Smartdata it's the worst one, so do really be carefull.

Mainly if you are like me and you spent all your economy for a website which is not available and where you have to review all the development.

Thanks Smartdata fr your lack of professionalism and amateurism, you are very lucky to be in India and not in my country, because we call that "THIEVES"

You don't want to waste your time and money, AVOID Smartdata.

I will suggest to work with this company through a channel like odesk and elance and add a clause of penalty in case if they fail the deadline. By this you will get the work done on time as losing time is same as business.

In smartData after missing deadline Every time you will talk to a new person who will try to convince you that everything will be alright which waste your time. so they should pay if a loss is made of because of them.

If you have an opportunity to work with smartData you should do it! I have completed my first project with them and they did an EXCELLENT job, have exceeded my expectations and completed before time. Great Job and I would recommend them to work again in near future.

I just wanted to say, great job for all who worked on our last project. It went smoothly and we are pleased with the results. This was my first eLance project. I selected smartData, Inc. out of 22 bids. Their bid was one of the highest dollar amounts bid. Yet, because of their track record, and the importance of my project, I was willing to spend more money becaue the project was important to me. While I am an American entrepreneur, and they are a company with an office in India, they are unique in that they have an office in Silicon Valley, in California, as well.As I understand it, smartData has now grown to dozens of employees. For me, knowing a company is stable, and in this case growing, provides a level of security. Also, the Agreement that they entered into with me, includes a maintenance Agreement of my web site for follow-on work, at a reasonable rate. I think that the company provides good value. And, they were ready to spend the time working through the challenges that come with the project that I had embarked on with them, to create a business-to-business ecommerce site. The product that they have delivered to me has functionality that allows me to make modifications myself, even though I am not a programmer. While that was part of the specifications for the project, I think that it is important to let others know that this was a complex venture, which required attention to detail. Finally, the best thing I liked about smartData was that they were willing to make the changes that needed to be changed, without rushing me through the process. Now, I have a functioning piece of software, and believe that there is a sincere friendship amongst all of us. The relationship has worked for both parties.

I had exactly the same experience as Fosters...SmartData has just about ruined my business.

They looked great on Odesk, but they have been an absolute nightmare to work with. They ran out all of my money in two months ($5500 USD) and provided nothing but a static website that didn't work at all. Then asked me for more money.

I had to beg and threaten and plead over and over to get them to finish the site for what they quoted me.

They could not do anything I asked them to do right, it took me at least ten times of trying my best to explain things as simple as "center this text on the page" or "use the same font throughout" or "don't put a space before any punctuation".

Everytime they'd fix something, they'd mess something else up. There were so many bugs in the site, and they are some still there that I'm scared to ask them to fix for fear they'll break something else.

The site was promised to be done in two months, it took 25 months before they could get it to barely work.

Now I've been told my numerous other developers that it's so messed up in the background that nobody will work on it, so I'm stuck with a site that can't be updated unless I want to risk having SmartData break it again.

Not only that, I've just been severly hacked and they put malware all through the site. Upon trying to contact SmartData for a back up copy, I've been ignored.

It's cost almost $1000 more to fix the damage done to my site by the hackers, and the people that are fixing say that whoever did this to me has my passwords to be able to gain such high access that they changed all of the file permissions, etc. Nobody else at all has these passwords except me and SmartData. And this is of course after SmartData assured me that my site was secure.

I cannot discourage you enough not to go with SmartData. Maybe they're ok for a basic site, but as far as anything more complicated than a static site, they promise you and convince you they can do it, but they haven't got a clue.

I also found out from someone that was fired from SmartData that they scammed me into hiring a "Fresher" that was being trained on my site...so I was paying for two people at a time (supposedly because it would get done twice as fast), but one of the people was actually just in training and I was paying for it, both in time and money.

They are polite people, that will promise you the world and agree with everything you say, but they do not think of a single thing on their own accord, they don't have any common sense, they don't have very advanced skills, and they don't really understand English that well.

Even their own employees told me they are SCAM ARTISTS. BEWARE!

Same identical experience here with these Smartdata scammers. Got left with an unusuable half finished well overdue project project that cost us 1000s of dollars.
