We entered into a contract with Simtek as an exclusive Simtek Fence Dealer with a protected territory, in western Canada. We advertised and marketed Simtek Fence and setup exclusive Stone Wall Fence Dealers. We generated a lot of interest from our marketing and advertising and sold a number of Simtek fence jobs. After we ordered a large inventory of Simtek Fence product, we discovered that Simtek Fence did not honor their agreements, and were selling Simtek Fence products through an internet marketing company, even Simtek Dealers were quoting jobs in our area, from over 700 miles away. When we discovered that Menards was also selling Simtek Fence at below our cost, we realized we could never compete directly with Simtek and other Simtek dealers. Simtek owner Brad Wilson misled us and did not honor their contracts. We invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in advertising, marketing, equipment, inventory as an exclusive distributor for Simtek Fence. We could not compete with Simtek Fence Factory Direct pricing to anyone. Brad Wilson used deceptive business practices to bait us to become a Simtek Fence Dealer, and then undermined us so we could not succeed in the business. Simtek Fence has deceived, mislead and financially injured us by their Breach of Contract. He used our company to market and promote Simtek Fence across Western Canada, then undercut us and sold directly into our market area even to one of our dealers.

We have had numerous warrantee problems with Simtek Fence that are installed, gates cracking, panels bowing, buckling and pulling out of posts because of the large expansion contraction factor of the polyethylene plastic panels. The fence system is poorly engineered and does not perform well in the extreme Canadian climate. Simtek Fence has not honored any of these warrantee problems. This has further injured us and hurt our business reputation.

Simtek Fence will not take back the hundreds of thousands of dollars of fence inventory we purchased, some of it defective or honor their lifetime warrantee of fences installed.

Brad Wilson, a Mormon and owner of Simtek Fence is the most unethical Company we have ever dealt with. We have suffered several hundreds of thousand dollars in business costs to distribute their product that failed because of Simtek’s unethical business practices and Breach of Contract. We have suffered punitive damages in our dealings with Simtek Fence and Brad Wilson. If you are victim of Simtek’s unethical business practices or are considering purchasing their fence product please contact us. We are looking for people who have dealt with Simtek Fence to find out their experience with them to testify in a legal action against them.

I owned a small fence company in Clearwater florida and was very excited to see this product on the market. We installed one job and that was enough. The height of the sections was different on one end of the section so all the preparation of installing the fence stops etc. was a waste of time. Once we started installing the sections we saw that the secions were a different height at each end, often by as much as 3/4 inch. We mentioned this to the reps at the Orlando fence show and they said they knew about the issue, but have done nothing about it. All the hype about throwing a 90 mile an hour fastball at the fence is bogus when the fence looks like hell after installation. Especially when the price is in the 50 -60 dollar a foot range. the posts should be longer also, an 8 ft post is not long enough for a 6 ft. high fence

My opinion may not count because I am only a home owner who is using Simtek fence for the perimeter of my property. The only dealer I can purchase from in this area is Home Depot. I can only afford to build in sections as I am paying for it in cash as I go. This is only the beginning of my story as I still need to purchase more fence.

I purchased four 4'x8' panels and three posts to build a 16'x8' fence (will add to this as I save up for it). In order to put up an 8' fence I needed to order 12' posts. The 8'1/2" posts are $59.00 but they charge $125.00 for the 12' posts. MORE THAN DOUBLE THE PRICE for an extra 3'1/2" - This is a total RIPOFF!
Simtek has a "minimum" order and my first order fell just shy of that cost so I had to pay an additional $100.00. When I priced all the fence a week prior to ordering the panels were $139.00 a piece (this was written down by the Home Depot associate). I went to place the order and was charged $149.00 per panel. Go figure - Just my luck the price increased the week I decided to start my project. There's an additional $40.00!

This being a "special order" took three weeks to receive the product and one of the posts (the end post) was damaged so bad that Home Depot re-ordered it and did not drop it off with the rest of the product. It will take more than two weeks to receive that "ONE" post. Home Depot only charged me a $20.00 delivery fee but that is basically useless because I can't even begin putting up the fence and I will still probably have to pay to have the one post delivered... so there's no real savings there.
Now I am a month and half into this project and can't even start it yet. Total cost for my 16'x8' fence is $1160.00 and I can't even put it up! Thanks Simtek.
I have no claims on reliability or warranty issues (yet), but I will say my satisfaction at this point is VERY, VERY LOW.
All-in-all, I'm thinking I would have been better off going with a competitor.

after researching the complaint with other customers and dealers of this business, I have found it to be biased and incorrect. This company has a very good reputation with their customers, and an A plus rating with the Better Business Bureau.

To add transparency to this complaint posted against us/me I would like to include a few facts. Nestor Mryglod of Super Seamless was indeed a dealer of our products in 2008 and 2009. After multiple customer complaints of being ripped off from his pricing, I personally addressed his unfair pricing practices with him. When he refused to change them, our companies eventually grew apart as we no longer had trust with each other. As he stopped buying product from us he lost his distributor status, and ever since he has been trying to drag us down by making false claims of dishonesty or product problems. We have moved on and are now working with several honest and reputable companies across Western Canada whom we'd be happy to recommend to you to work with. If you have any concerns about our integrity or transparency, we invite you to call us, call Nestor, and call our customers and dealers to see how their experience with us has gone.
