i dont understand why anyone would have to advertise food naked, what is the point of it, it just annoyed me and made me think i wouldnt buy any of their products if they have to resort to this kind of advertising, , we have adverts of sanitary towels and tampons, the next thing you will be showing people sat on a toilet defacating to sell toilet rolls, bring back decency to advertisements, they either make you cringe with shame or not buy the products, why are there no censors anymore, we need another Mary Whitehouse

I couldn't believe that an advert showing nudity was being shown before the watershed. That is my main complaint - how could it possibly get through the censorship. It's such a poor ad anyway. I used to love Richmond ham, but forever after I will associate it with this totally tasteless and not very clever or funny advert - a definite turnoff - I will look to another company now for such food products.

The Richmond Ham advert with the naked man parading across a field showing all his backside is innapropriate. It is intrusive and invasive on our screens in our living rooms. The naked man is then followed by a group of naked people. What has this got to do with ham? Very offputting indeed.

I am very much heterosexual Mr Vance. It was meant as a joke. However, I have no objections to other people's sexual persuasion. You clearly do though, Paul. Are you hiding something? Don't worry mate your secret's safe with us. lol

I find this advert very tongue in cheek, and believe me, my tongue would be firmly in those cheeks lol.

Nudity? A naked bum or three. What is so tasteless about the human body? I found the advert to be amusing and light hearted. I had never noticed any advertising for Richmond ham before but after seeing this ad, I will definitely have a look for it the next time I am shopping.

Whilst the advert itself may well be absolutely cr*p, what pray tell is actually 'offensive' about it? It shows bare bums. So what? As for it not being shown to children, why not? Are children not allowed to know what a bottom looks like until they reach adulthood? Younger children won't bat an eyelid, and older ones will snigger. Hardly sufficient to corrupt the poor babees minds. Let the manufacturer waste their money on a poorly thought out advert, but let's have some perspective here.

"Why do those people have no clothes on mummy?" "Because some people like to sit in a field and eat ham and not wear any pants dear". "Oh OK mummy". Job done - no fuss and back to the Tweenies. It isn't as if you are having to explain the sacrifice of a virgin or an act of buggery!

I totally agree. This is just getting out of hand now. I was completely outraged when I saw this advert and in the middle of the day at that. This does not entice me to buy the product at all. I have three children and are trying to bring them up with morals, values and dignity, obviously it is something not thought about when advertising anything these days.

Concerning the Richmond Ham advertisement, I find this most inappropriate and in plain English down right disgusting, showing a full grown man showing off his backside, and then followed by another group of nudist. This should not, repeat NOT be shown on our televisions, and especially during prime time. Not only as an adult to I disagree with this bad taste, I wish to mention young children that are exposed to this bad taste in advertising and can be misleading.

Further more, I though we had a Advertising Standard screening board, which should vet bad taste commercials. It seems that they are not doing their part. This Richmond Advert should be taken off of our televisions. Surely there are countless and much more pleasant ways of advertising Ham in a much more decent manner.
