Battery Trader.com Missing refund

I ordered a replacement battery for my lawn mower from Battery Trader which was represented on its web site as a Bosch battery direct replacement. When it arrived it wasn't manufactured by Bosch and wasn't like the one I wanted. I returned the item to them in line with their terms and conditions and received an e-mail receipt on 15th March 2011 saying that the refund would be made within 30 days as required by the Distance Selling Regulations.

After more than 30 days nothing had been received, so I e-mailed them again. I had a reply which apologised for the delay and saying that they would chase their accounts department.

Still nothing so on 25th April 2011 I e-mailed them again, this time asking for a receipt from MS Outlook when the e-mail was opened. Nothing has been received to date 10th May 2011. I tried telephoning the number given on their web site but this is no help as the options take you round in circles.

I ordered a Bosch replacement battery 1.9Ah 3.6 on 19 February through the Battery Trader website. On 22 February I was told there would be a delay of one week.
No goods were received by 12 April when I e-mailed the company to be told of a further delay in receiving stock.
After repeated phone calls and talking to a computer I was told by an automatic voice that there was 'no one to take' my call.
I cancelled the order and have been promised a refund again by e-mail. I won't hold my breath. This crooked company is an insult to all honest British traders.

My husband Richard Davies ordered a drill battery from this company on 29th December 2008. We are still awaiting delivery or refund, we have queried this on several occassions and keep being fobbed off. Now they don't answer our queries at all! There are many complaints about this company on the internet, but they are still being allowed to advertise! They need to be stopped!

TRADE WITH THESE COWBOYS AND LOOSE YOUR MONEY

They are happy to take your money, that's where the problem begins

Supply to these cowboys and you will not get paid...

You loose either way - AVOID == AVOID == AVOID

We cannot find one of these ordered from USA on 19th Feb so assume its not real like previous commplaints, if it is please contact the site direct with order deyails for it to be sorted

Battery Trader.com I strongly advise anyone looking for batteries to avoid this trader

Having ordered and paid for (by credit card) a replacement battery in Sept 2017, I received several difficult to understand emails until I eventually had an email on 4th Oct saying they couldn't supply me but would make a repayment within 30 days. It is now Jan 2017 and no repayment has been made although I have reminded them several times. As the repayment is under £100 I understand I cannot claim it back from my card company. I have since found many complaints about this company on the internet and I cannot understand why/how it can be allowed to go on trading. I STRONGLY ADVISE ANYONE LOOKING FOR BATTERIES TO AVOID THIS TRADER. IT IS AT BEST INCOMPETENT AT WORST A SWINDLER.

Ordered and paid for a replacement battery for computer on 11.02.2017.Received emails to say shipment delayed. I cancelled the order with Batterytrader several times due to ongoing delay and item no longer required but this was never acknowledged and they carried on regardless informing of delay and finally saying item despatched. Nothing received as of 19.03.2017 and i am not holding my breath given the pattern of other complaints/claims. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!

My husband ordered a battery from them Nov 2017 and we are still waiting March 2017. Can't get through on phone - just given the run-around on an automated system. Won't repay the money (nearly £100 which they took very promptly from the card), and are just given polite apologies via the Order History for the product, advising their delivery is late.
