I had purchased a mandys facial hair remover for sensitive skin and 3mins into the application it started to burn my skin.i had done a patch prior to the app and its was fine.I washed it of and upon wiping my face it peeled of the top layer of my skin.It was painfull and burning like someone had threw acid on my face.Im now left with hidoeus scars.I called the consumer care line and spoke to Pamela who offered me other products instead of helping me with the current damage and pain.I had sent many emails and phoned many times with no response from them.I have attached my photos.
those piks belong to me. this company knows that there is something wrong with the poroduct which is why they offered me other products to compensate.I declined, but i have being work with the small claims dept here in issueing them with legal docs. Maybe they will jump now.As for my face, i now have dark patches that dnt look good at all.
this is not a joke u guys its serious. we the ones who suffer and u make jokes of it.get a wake up.have a heart.

btw the company is closed and i tried the walter cres address and no1 seems to answer. i have handed my case to wendy knowles from ecr consumer watch.let see wat happens.its a good idea to have the product tested to.
for your kind information brenda, i had perfectly beautiful skin with not even a pimple.If u can make the effort to look properly then u will see that it is burns not acne.plz dnt truthfully assume things .dnt make the issue worst, rather help us find a solution, if u have the heart.

its healing but im left with this terrible dark marks.I did a microdermabrasion ysterday its seems to have lightened it a bit.But im still not happy.Thanks for the concern.

Disclaimers are not compulsory in SA. The patch test was done on the inner arm (which is the closest to your facial skin). I suppose I would also get pissed if everyone affiliated me with the problem in some way. My apologies!

I sure as hell do not have herpes.Valtrex is used to treat the symptoms of herpes zoster (also known as shingles), a herpes virus infection of the skin; it is also used to treat and prevent genital herpes infections. I do not have any of the above. Just patches of skin missing!

I agree! Can not get hold of the manufacturer. Looks like they are still on holiday. Thinking about sending the product for testing... Something is seriously wrong!
The product is manufactured in South Africa and I live in South Africa. In actual fact, I work for a pharmaceutical company, so I am not an ignorant idiot. The reason I asked if you work for the manufacturer, is due to the fact that your first comment sounds like you are defending the company and no other reason.

I bought Mandy's Facial Hair remover fro sensitive skin on 31/12/2010. About 3 min into the application, my face was burning something terrible. I removed the cream with cotton wool and warm water and my skin came off as well. It was the most excrutiating pain I have felt in a long time and I now have these terrible scars on my face. You can actually see where the applicator applied the cream. I took photo's the next day as well.
