Last year, I was contacted by a person named Sigitas Geneikis who is a CEO of JSC Tronas LT because he sold certain type of plastic scrap that interest my clients.
Now in commodity trade payment terms differ but usually it is T/T 30% upfront and 70% against documents of shipping.
My clients paid him 30% upfront, and there after he started making excuses. Moreover, one of my clients from HOLLAND went to see SIGITAS and his warehouse.
As things stand at the moment Sigitas Geneikis has taken money(around 25, 000USD) from clients but has not shipped the material. I have emailed, and sms him but no reply.
It seems that he has ran off the 25, 000USD which is owed to my clients.

We are in exactely the same situation. Fortunately, after discussing a long time about the payment terms, Sigitas Geneikis agreed with a down payment to the amount of the transport costs - approx. 400 €. Since we haven't received any material yet, we tried to contact him - without results.
We can only recommend you the same like our previous speakers: Don't trust Sigitas Geneikis!
We had the same problem with Sigitas Geneikis. He owed us over 4 000 euros in down payment. Fortunately we managed to get a big part of our money from him after a couple of months, because I contacted one of his only suppliers directly and explained the situation. Do not trust this man he is a known scammer in Lithuania.
