media. It was only until his false arrest December 18, 2010 and detainment in Gwinnett County jail through Christmas Gibson got mad. Then, look out. Norcross Police Department falsely charged this disabled US Marine with False Repot of a Crime. Originally included a felony forgery charge included in the warrant. The sentence carried one year in jail and thousands in fines. Gibson was appointed Public Pretender - I ment Public Defender, John K. Ireland.

Visited in jail, Attorney Ireland gave a copy of Norcross Officer Eric Butynski badge number 122 report. Attorney Ireland never read the report, but expained to Gibson to take a plea. Pointing out how lucky Gibson was Judge Carla Brown had droped the felony forgery and all remained was False Report of Crime. The plea offered by Gwinnett Solicitor was twelve months probation, one thousand dollar fine, and thirty gady in jail. His court appointed lawyer, Attorney Ireland perfered to be called, explained if Gibson rejected the plea he would remain in jail pass christmas with no bond.

Gibson reviewed the police report and quickly new no crime had been committed. He showed his "court appointed lawyer" line for line the false statement written by Officer Butynski. Court appointed Attorney Ireland, with a smurk, reccommended Gibson move out of Georgia. But Gibson would not be given an oppertunity to present evidence in the court until trial, Attorney Ireland told Gibson. Depressed and confused Gibson, in his wheelchair, returned to spend his Christmas in jail. His sixth Christmas away from his family, five spent Serving his country as a United States Marine Corp..

With Judge Carla Brown gone on her Christmas break and responsible for signing the warrant of arrest Gibson sat in jail until former US Marine now a Gwinnett County Judge lifted the warrant December 29, 2010. Prosecutors wanted bail set at twenty five thousand thousand dollars and was furious at the Judges one thousand dollar bail given. The judge looked at Gibson multipal medical issues and facts leading to his arrest stating he would give Gibson the bennifit of the doubt. Lucky for Gibson his survival pay fron the Veteran Administration had posted to his account. Of his $1, 857.oo monthly check he too $1, 300.00, as needed. to post bail. See, Gibson was recieving $7, oo3.00 monthly but was erroneously reduced to $1, 857.oo. But that is a anouther issue he has been addressing over one year ago.

As you can see, there are several factors against Gibson. Even a man who served his country and was honorable medically discharged can be innocent, like on television shows the police, public oppinion, and prosecutors demonize the accusrd and definitely work against the defendant An investication that may be based on false evidence only made important by police officers bent on malicious motives taking the attention off the actual charge being brought. Gibson now out of jail turned 35 January 02, 2011 is relying on, "we the people", and media to spread his story to all Americans as he takes legal precaution in this situaton. Men and woman who have stepped up to serve for our freedom in this great country especially dererve better.

Update by "WE THE PEOPLE" DEMAND JUSTICE
Jan 23, 2011 10:57 am EST

Dear American people,

I am so mad and that is not my character. This whole mess has changed my perspective on the legal system, and law enforcement. Nobody can give me back who I was prior to this false charge or time detained in jail. Now that I am out of that cage, I want justice. No I demand justice! Louis Gibson will be a name those will speak and not forget like I will never forget.

Take a deeper look at my criminal history and at first glance one can assume negative thoughts. But "first glance", does not mean guilty. This is the first time I have not been able to block corrupt legal hits. But my attitude remains the same. When you are falsely accused stand your ground no matter the outcome! With WSB News reporting the false story on Redshield Entertainment LLC cost me a lot of money and ran my reputation through the dirt. I learned how powerful the media can influence perspective in America or to be specific in Atlanta, Georgia. My wealthy and connected fake friends ran away from me to protect their business. Even those that had thousands invested with my company, and several other business deals.

Many may not agree with my methods of posting so many complaints on the internet but I will bare it all to the American people. Several who are commenting are involved in my criminal case and are be exposed by independent investigator and companies that have given me support. I do not have a thing to hide and do not trust the legal system to do the right thing. Everyone will know what corruption is going on in Norcross Police Department and Gwinnett County. They can lock me up but they will not lock up the truth. This is a campaign to expose the corruption and plain lack of justice practiced in Gwinnett County.

Louis Gibson

I told https://www.linkedin.com/in/kevin-hart-42575b3 I will gladly take a lie detector test and provide testimony and much more evidence to federal judge/grand jury, but he won't return my calls, take a report, investigate. it appears that it is ok to torture someone and allow their captors to remain in control of you in america. I have simply asked to be allowed to leave georgia and for us to be safe. that's it

Gwinnett county is ran by people who don't like minorities.! This is the very corrupt county! The school list as a 10 on zillow in Grayson, and they are 3 or 4's at least! If you're thinking about buying a home in this area don't. They are overpriced for the area. This school systems focus on school to prison pipeline very bad schools.. #Couch Middle school # Bay creak. Before moving to an area Google that discipline history, not the great schools. It is inaccurate.

My husband and I obtained primary physical custody of our granddaughter in February 2012, as her mother and father were very young, never married, were not together when the child was born in 2010 and neither were in a place to put the child before themselves. Both the mother and child had resided with us, so the mother still lived with the child even though we had primary physical custody. In July 2014 we supported our daughter in filing to regain primary physical custody after showing that she had grown, matured, etc... and was ready to be a mother. Here we are 18 months later and what a mess both the attorneys and courts have created. Long story short... we retained an attorney to seek grandparent visitation rights on our behalf, I mean we have been the primary caretaker and provider for a majority of the childs life, we have made many sacrifices and more then either of the parents... Therefore, we felt that we should be entitled to these rights and there should not have been an issue... Our attorney never filed the motion on our behalf, my daughters attorney became very offensive when questioned why she was not fighting the fathers counter claim for custody on the basis of "change of circumstance and a counter claim being prohibited per the state statutes" and the fathers attorney has presented the father as a wonderful father despite his voluntarily giving up a year of over night visitation, putting his girlfriend (now wife) before the child, causing undue stress/anxiety for the child that resulted in counseling for the child, etc... We terminated the services of our previous attorney and retained a new one who did file the correct motion. Our issue is this: the judge is holding us bound to an agreement in which #1. we were told we had no input or say in #2. We have not been able to obtain a copy of and one that is no where on record with the courts #3. Since our daughter and grandchild still reside with us, we are being denied the grandparent visitation rights until they move out and then we are blessed with starting the process over and spending another several thousand dollars in legal fees #4. There has been too many negotiations that have taken place in the judges chambers of which have no record, transcript or documentation that certain things were stated... There have been so many issues of deception that I am still wondering where our thousands of dollars have gone and what has happened to our judicial system. I have done extensive research and have found MANY violations of ethics, statutes, etc... to where now my focus is more about forcing the courts to uphold the integrity and honesty in which our judicial system was founded on. Oh, let me not forget that the Bar Association is a complete joke when it comes to filing a grievance against an attorney. They are not there for the people, but there to protect their own. When you have over 1800 grievances filed annually and only 1-2 % of those grievances are investigated, that speaks volumes of their purpose. My grievance was dismissed on the basis in which my complaint had NOTHING to do with. What a surprise... However, I will say that it all starts with the attorneys... This is where the true deceit and dishonesty starts and then it just rolls from there. Though many know that ones individuals rights are violated every day by the judicial system, what is one to do to stop it and/or correct it? That takes lots of money and an honest and upstanding attorney to fight and put his entire career on the line... You know there is a problem with our judicial system when the supply and demand allows there to be over 100 attorneys within a 1 mile radius from our judicial court house in Gwinnett County... especially when Gwinnett County is the largest County in the State of Georgia... Yet, we wonder why our society is so broken...

I am on first offenders felony probation in Gwinnett - have never failed a drug test and have completed 4/8 years if probation. I am on call in and have never had a problem until one day I came in to report (needed a travel permit). I took a urine drug screen and was told I failed for everything except cocaine ... I have been in recovery for nearly 5 years and definitely had not been using. My PO was in the process of filling out the paperwork to send my U.A. to the lab when a supervisor came in and told him my sample could not be sent because "there was blood in my urine". That was a complete lie and even if it were true my drug screen should have been sent to a lab. I was incarcerated despite me begging for a blood test, cheek swab, or hair follicle test, done at my expense . Probation refused and incarcerated me anyways. My family had to get a court order for a hair follicle test to be done and this took a month and a half ... after irrefutable proof from a 10 pannel hair follicle test showing I was clean probation continued to ignore my lawyer. Finally my family had to hire Jeff Sliz and I was released a week later ... Nearly 4 months of my life WASTED. I didn't even go before a Judge because the knew they F$&?:3d up! I've talked to a lawyer about suing them as the broke multiple State and Federal laws!

Craig Jones is one of the lawers suing Gwinnett County for abuses in the jail. As a long time citizen of Gwinnett County, I had to file a writ of Mandmaus to get out of an illegal Prison sentence given to me by Gwinnett County, and once was forced to serve another illegal sentence by someone at the Courthouse other than a Judge. I been beaten and abused by Gwinnett jailers more than once and am in fear of my life inside of that jail. I am currently facing a D.U.I. charge for refusing to take a field sobriorty test. I was not driving any vehicle, especially the one they accused me of operating. In 2010 I broke up a fight where Gwinnett County Prosecutors tried to give me a life sentence for "kidnapping". I figure between the "Writ of Mandamus", and the Jury finding me "Not Guilty" for kidnapping that they are seeking to get even with a phony D.U.I. conviction. The DA has offered me the maxium sentence for a first D.U.I. in 20 years. When I go to jail which I am sure I will, I will spend all my time litigating in the Federal Courts. An action that will get me beaten and abused almost on a daily bases. The Public needs to be complaining and petitioning the Federal Courts for a real investigation of the Gwinnett Judicial System before more jailhouse inmates are murdered at the hands of the depraved and mentally ill who run that jail. Danny Porter should be tried and convicted for the way he has run a lawless and vindictive Justice Administration. I wish everyone in Gwinnett County would refuse to plead guilty and make them hold trial for each and every person charged with any of the bogus crimes Gwinnett County inflates for monetary purposes. As for the jail? One jailer is responsible for the deaths of three inmates and still holds his position as master of distruction and death, but is quickly being followed by others. The video that just came out about the retsraining chairs had to have been video by another employee of the jail which should tell everybody just how bad it really is. Gwinnett County is often sued and the tax payers foot the bill so they could care less. It's way past time for some of them to face sentences for the crimes they are commtting not daily, but hourly.

Gwinnett county is the epitome of In-Justice. I Fired a man who I had known for years, in OKC. He was mad and picked up the phone and called the police. The police did an investigation, and filed charges against my brother and myself, based on a phone call, from another state and have never met the "victim". We were arrested and bail was set. $5, 000.00 bond plus $390.00 to the county in fees. I retained council and my brother got a court appointed attorney. There is no evidence, just the police officers testimony about what the "victim" told her, we are innocent, and we wanted our day in court. My brothers court appointed ###, has met one time with my brother in two years. I have been forced to remain in the state for two years and lost my job because Gwinnett county disperses your mug shot for financial gain (I assume) and when you Google my name my mug shot pops up first thing. 22 months have passed and we have not been able to go to trial to prove our innocence. My attorney filed a motion to dismiss on constitutional issue of right to speedy trial. At the hearing DA asserts that a man in Georgia is in jail for over 5 years waiting for trial and the Georgia Appeals courts have turned him down, so how could we possibly be complaining after less than 2 years and we are free on bond. The Judge agreed and told me, even though I had my name smeared and it made it hard for me to find employment, all accused in Gwinnett county have their mug shots posted, so I have not been singled out. The DA has offered plea deals to drop the charges for money, this is crazy. I just want my day in court. The reason that we have not been able to go to trial is the "victim" can not be located and he is the only witness except for the police officer, who has never seen him. I have been held hostage by the state and can not get any help. American Justice... is what the DA says it is. By making me show up to court 1 to 2 times a month for the last 19 months has devastated me. I drive for 2 to 4 hours depending on traffic and don't live in Atlanta or Gwinnett county. They have broken my spirit and my I have lost all faith in American Judicial system. How ironic that our government condems others for there judicial systems, when ours is so perverse it should read...American Justice, the best system Money can BUY...

My husband is in the Gwinnett County jail right now, and has been there for a week. Four years ago, he was charged with a DUI. He completed his community service, all drug tests sent in, paid his fine off, everything he was supposed to do was done. Last year, his probation officer confirmed his last payment was received and told him he was on "non-report" probation. He was finally finished. But, last week he gets pulled over for a broken tail light and the cop had problems running his drivers license, so he asked for his SS#. It was then that showed there was a warrant out for his arrest in Gwinnett county. He is now stuck in jail and has no idea why he is in there or when he will be let out. I visited his newly appointed probation officer and she says he still has $175 that needs to be paid? Nope- there was a system error and still showed that he owed money when in fact he was finished. But they will never own up to any mistakes they have made. My husband now sits in Gwinnett county jail, wrongfully arrested, and is most likely going to lose his job if he hasn't already. I am thinking that the county may be corrupted and am searching for others like him who may have similar stories to tell.

I have a brother in the Gwinnett County (fail) i mean jail and he is being rail road as we speak. Undercover police officers did a so called sting operation three times and the first two times nothing, and the third time my brother was falsely accused of a really bad crime. He has no criminal history, squeaky clean, but has been denied bail three times saying he is a threat to society. I agree you all, something needs to be done about the Gwinnett County police department.

Mr. Gibson does not mention that his attorney, John K. Ireland lot him a reasonable bond and later got his charges dismissed. Mr. Gibson failed to mention that.

Gwinnett County is a trap and has a terrible justice system! I was put on "First Offenders" for burglary after given a court appointed attorney. I met her the day she was assigned to me and not again until the day of trial a whole year later. She was on maternity leave the whole time and never had a conversation with me. I just accepted the punishment because I was 18 and didn't have a clue what else to do. I have now been on non report for 2 1/2 years. A year ago I was the victim of domestic violence. Now that the court date is coming and I do not want to testify because I am terrified, the DA Marlene Zesker is trying everything to get me into trouble so that I have to testify in court. I guess if I end up murdered somewhere when this is all over with, she'll be satisfied with herself. These people are criminals and make peoples lives hell for their own gain. They all need to be investigated! Ecspecially the DA's office. But, since they have immunity for almost everything, we will all just continue to loose! It's unjust and unfair.

I am locked up in the Gwinnett County Detention Center and I'm a disable war veteran. The unnecessary torture perpetrated by deputies is evident that they are ignorant to the plight of mentally disable veterans. I suffer from PTSD, Bi Polar Disorder and Gulf War Syndrome. The only illness being treated by the jail is my Bi-Polar. I have a mental health counselor, who to this day I have only seen twice. I have been here since Dec. 27, 2011. Her name is Ms. Atkin.

December 30, 2011 night watch officer Deputy Hartman kicks my food trap door closed startling me out of my sleep. I explained my medical condition and the lack of circulating air inside the cell when the trap door is closed. Hartman responded, 'Ican do what I want on my shift' I suffered torture and excessive use of force at the hands of their CERT or RTO team. I don't know which is which because they come 8 to 9 deep wearing Kevlar helmets and masks. I didn't resist but SGT. Augarillo broke protocol by taking the video camera from Deputy Hartman and entered the cell with it ( I'm naked because it is a strip cell) and stuck her fingers up my nose so I couldn't breath. I tried to prevent this hideous act but I was out numbered. I was placed in a restraint chair. I was strapped in so tight I could hardly breathe. I'm naked the whole time. Along with the straps I was handcuffed to the chair, hands pulled down below the bottom of the seat and my feet are shackled by leg irons; I still suffer scars. This is the same chair that made headline years ago when pictures of U.S. soldiers was posted showing them torturing, Iraqi prisoners at Abu Gharib prison in Iraq! Once I was strapped and handcuffed to the chair I was then pushed down to the shower and locked in for close to 5 hours. The temp. was between and 35 & 40 degrees. I was fed last, made to urinate on myself and naked. I'm a Gulf War Veteran with a mental disorder treated as if I'm in a 3rd world country.

Words from Kelvin Barefield, currently in the Gwinnett County Detention Center.

I have been in the same shoes. All i can say is that gwinnett is a railroad system. The only people that benifit are the judges becausehey privately own gwinnett county jail. The crooked court appointed lawyer...The system is all about your money. Not you the victim or the so call crime. All they see are dollar signs!High rates of poor african american are pleading guilty to crimes they did not commit due to being scared of taking to trial because they can not afford legal defense.this system is robbing from the poor. And their felony probation office is another place that needs to be investigated! But there have been laws made so that they can conceil there records.Even if a person did commit a crime it gives these officers no right to speak disrespectfully in the manner they do, curse at people. And to show no dignity the way they do.I thought that they were suppose to run a business in a business way.You are talked to like a dog and then threatened or lied on and arrested so that they can show you their power. And this is the system that we have running america? Are you serious?
