We bought a Savannah cat from Heather back in 2010. Cole was his name then. We agreed under contract to purchase Cole with the condition that Heather would pay the shipping costs of Cole to us in Texas. Finally the day arrived for Cole to make the trip to Austin, TX. There were a lot of problem getting him to us because of weather delays, etc, but none of that was Heather's fault. However, the cat was in the most disgusting, dirty cage ever. Also the kitten was sick with a respiratory infection. To top things off, the airline told us Heather did not pay for the shipping and we owed an addition $250 for his transport. She did not respond to our phone calls or emails. Fortunately, Eli (then Cole) today is a healthy Savannah. My complaint about Gulf Coast Exotic Felines and Heather is that she did not have the most ethical business practices. We had an agreed upon contract which she intentionally violated by forcing us to pay shipping. Also, she does not take good care of her Savannah cats. I am grateful to have Eli but more so grateful that he did not have to live under her roof anymore. I am writing this because I read another complaint about one of her cats Sable and felt it was my duty to validate that Heather is capable and willingly culpable to such accusations.
