SCAM! No record of this company through Consumer Affairs in NJ or FL, no record by the BBB or Chamber of Commerce. When I tried to research them for my interview, and came up with nothing, I called Amanda. She refused to tell me where they were incorporated or how long they had held that name or address, and promptly cancelled my interview. Don't waste your time. When you see their website, you can see the vagueness of everything...and no record of the FL address with the FL Atty General's Office, either.

I unfortunately fell victim to Green Impulse Marketing and went to my interview. I was excited about this company because they claimed to be a PR and Marketing firm, which is my career field. The first questionable thing I noticed was that their name was no where to be seen on the building or in their office. It was as if they were hiding themselves. I waited for my interview in the waiting room with about 10 other people my age and was finally taken into the office for my interview. The second weird thing I noticed was that the office room was completely empty except for an office desk and chair. That was it, nothing else. It was as if they can just get up and leave if they ever got caught for their lies. I had a VERY quick interview. They didn't want to see my portfolio and their main concern was that I was on board even though I was given no information about their company. I tried asking questions about the job and they tip-toed around my questions, always trying to get off track and make sure I was on board. I was then told that if they like me they would narrow it down to two people and I would come in the next day for a second interview. I was happy to hear I got the second interview but unhappy to see the same people in the waiting room the next day. Hmmmm, another lie. They then told me we would go on "location" for the job. They took me to Hope Depot and told me I would be selling cabinets on a commission based salary. I was completely lied to. They tried convincing me that I would be making hundreds of thousands of dollars. Yeah right. They wasted my time, my gas and 2 days of life I will never get back.

Agreeing with the above comment on Neilson Enterprises, it is a SCAM. After doing research on the company (and finding nothing but a vague description on their fishy website), some red flags were raised. After being called back for a "second interview", I accompanied one of their "account managers" for a full work day to see what it was I would be doing as an employee (anyone that is hired starts out as an "account manager" regardless of what their job add describes). We literally went door to door, trying to sell Verizon FIOS to RANDOM businesses. It's literally a door to door sales job. No salary, no benefits, just commission. The entire day I was told about how much money I would be able to make. I was told I could be opening up my own office in less than a year and a half. Not only did i not witness one sale, the business owners treated us like traveling used-car salesman. This company is very vague in their job description. If door to door sales is your thing, then this job could be for you. If not, STAY AWAY!

And now there seems to be a "new kid on the block"...Neilson Enterprises operating out of Lyndhurst, NJ. It's the same scam. The "CEO/Founder" is named Kala Neilson. She graduated from university in 2010 upon which she joined Classic Marketing Concepts (another one of these scam companies) as an Assistant Manager until May 2012, and then opened Neilson Enterprises in June 2012. Her "company" has only been "in business" for 10 months and the website (which is comprised of corporate stock photos and vague copy about being "a leader in outsourced marketing and sales". (view it for yourselves at www.neilsonenterprisesinc.com). Her company was most recently at a Montclair State University career fair (shame on Montclair State for allowing this kind of scam-company to prey on its students). I was doing some research and found that a lot of these scam-companies are owned and operated by "young executives" early out of university who previously were employed by one of the already known offenders (i.e. Classic Marketing Concepts, NYSL Promotions, Gateway Promotions, etc.). Stay very clear of these!

Thank You so much for the information on NYSL. I also heard from Erica which set up an appointment with Joe. I had a weird feeling about this company so before I went for my 12:30 interview I decided to do a little research and their it was, NYSL is a SCAM. That is all I needed. Thanks again, I will use my time and gas in a more productive way.

Ya I got a call from them as soon as I e-mailed them my resume. Their office is a crappy suite that looks like its setup for a hidden camera show, the whole place reeks of illegal. Not to be racist but I was the only white kid in the waiting room, which had 6 people waiting to be interviewed THAT HOUR. Any white collar job that has majority black/spanish employees is suspicious lol, true story. Everyone in there was from Paterson and they seemed as out of place as a vegan in a meat market. The interview was 5 minutes where the girl kept cracking awkward jokes and being extremely vague and sarcastic. At one point they started BLASTING techno music from the next room as they get geared up to go out for the day. During the interview I was waiting for her to do something crazy like start stripping, the office is such a scam and such [censored] that it literally felt like a hidden camera show. After the interview as I was walking out I had no clue as to what I just experienced. The girl who answers the phone also pretends to have a schedule and time for you to come in, false. As i sat there and saw her answer the phone everyone who calls she just instructs them to come in the following monday at 9:30 or 10:30, when you get there you realize 5 other people also have an interview at the same time. However it works out because the interview is only 5 minutes, with not one relevant question. Do you have a car? do you speak english? your hired. STAY AWAY you won't see any money and you won't be able to do anything about it.

This job is complete [censored], and they are now operating under the name NY SKYLINE PROMOTIONS INC. like all the other comments they did the same [censored] to me with the lies and promise of compensation, if you wanna spend tons of money for traveling using your own vehicle and paying for tolls you are not compensated for without getting any type of real pay for the weeks you are there, then this is the job for you. I should have known from the interview process which is like two 15 min interviews with Joe the supposed boss, but was desperate for a job and I did have second thoughts but tried it anyways and got f*cked. I was promised a base pay of 360 a week at least haven't seen a check yet, I walked off the field and just left one day. Someone has suggested that i take some form of legal action or go to the NEWS because they really are screwing people over in big ways i just want my money for the time i worked there even if its just the base pay. NY SKYLINE PROMOTIONS INC IS A SCAM and I know a few of the people who were fired or quit want to take legal action and call the news so they'll probably just change the name again and keep running this scam on innocent people. NY SKYLINE PROMOTIONS INC IS A SCAM!

I worked for this company for a short period ... I was so taken back how dishonest they were and i mean completely fabricating lies to get people in, and this is not a time to play with peoples time. Listen here it is, they are looking for people to go to Home Depot to ask customers if you want a remodel estimate, the customer has to say yes and fill out all their information on a peice of paper. You get little pay and to get paid the customer has to go through the remodeling. And work hours crazy hours 7:30am to 6 - 7:30pm and you dont work in Wayne you go in the morning and late evening but when you go in the morning they give you a certain Home Depot to go to ... and let me tell you the marketing classes lol, you are in a room with a cow bell with loud music getting a life speech. All the furniture that makes this place look so official is from Rent-A-Center. I worked with Alana, which hired me and Amanda. Do not even go to the interview, "mock interview, phase one of two". Also i found out that Home Depot goes outside their own marketing company to hire these companies (Green Eye or Prestige or Green Impulse) same so called company so in the end if you choose to work here you get paid as the fourth person, they take their cut which they dont tell you. Stay away!

I answered an ad on craigslist looking for a customer service rep for an "Event / Marketing Company". Valiant Promotions in Wayne NJ e-mailed me back right away saying they want to interview me. I called and spoke to Allison and set up an interview for that day.

I checked out their website, and thought it was suspicious that the only info on their site was recruiting info - no actual information about what they do as a marketing company. I then did some research and came upon this site and some others explaining that it was connected to Green Impulse. I also thought it was suspicious that there are sites promoting Green Impulse that have keywords: "Green Impulse Scam". That tells me they are trying to water down the search engine results when people try to do their research on the company.

Thank you for the heads up everyone. I e-mailed them back saying I did some research on the company and I don't think I would be a good fit. They e-mailed me back later that afternoon saying you missed your interview, please call to reschedule.

Waaah I love what you wrote, that company hired me on a same day of interview. Next day I went for two hours training - many people in the room with very loud music I could not hear my thoughts, they were making workers to compete between each other and if they choose the opponent they were throwing their notebooks on the floor. There telling you to repeats words like juice. Goals. Yesterday etc so much stupidity you got to be there to believe it ! The training was so ### I made research about company and quit the next day .

Completely true what JerseyJobs said. This place will find you and will blatantly lie to you about everything. Can you make money here? Yes. How much? No clue...I quit today and went to get my paycheck-->conveniently they didn't have it ("YET" as they say).
When they call to set up the interview they make it seems like they'll be done hiring in the next few days so you must meet with the "director" now. You fall for it and come to the office where the interview is 5 minutes long where they pretend like their hiring process will be over that day and that 5 people other than yourself will be "competing" with you for this hard to get position. Little do we know that everyone and their mother gets hired there. Not to discriminate but there was some dude of the street who didn't speak proper English and had the worst communication skills. He got the job.
Anyway, they take you out to the site (Home Depot for me) for the interview where the trained recruiter continues to lie. I asked if it was a commission job to which he said no. Two hours later after him explaining that for every customer you sign up for high end kitchen refacing you get $60 I said so this is a commission job but you said it wasn't. He used his charm to play it off saying that if you get no leads for that week you'll get a $250 check. Which is bull! It is impossible to get no leads for the whole week. A. You work from 10 to 8 and B. I signed up 4 people by myself my first day of training. You WILL get appointments made. However, there is the whole conversion rate (60% of customers actually go through with the appointment). Therefore, that cuts your paycheck to about half of what they make you believe you will be getting. Besides, how can you trust them anyway? Maybe they lie about how many people actually went through with the appointment.

So, a regular work day consists of coming into the office in Wayne where they play loud music in their "atmosphere room" where the walls are painted bright colors to pump you up to run around Home Depot stalking poor people to lie to them about how great this offer is. Truth is, if you search hard enough..there is a complaint website for the refacing too! Customers hate it for the most part. Anyway, in the atmosphere room they start teaching you stupid crap like acronyms and how each letter stands for things like enthusiasm, smart, effective, fun, etc. Feels like 1st grade all over again. You spend half an hour doing that and then there's a meeting where the director repeats the same crap over and over every morning. Turns out its for the new people that get hired daily. They have weird jargon like "Juice", which means kudos or something. And they repeat it every two minutes like idiots. And they go over the results from the day before to make it seem like they sell so much and to encourage the distributors to do well. You then go out with the "team leaders" to sell this free consultation. You go back to the office at 8 to show off, literally, how well you did that day. It all seems so fake!

But the point is..people actually do stay in this field and they can make good money. It's just that you sacrifice your entire life because you're constantly at work. And I just hate the whole lying part. As a salesperson they teach you to lie, yes, but to an extent. So good luck!

Re: Green I. Marketing; Job Misrepresentations
As a registered long-time Job Seeker with a well known recruiting firm, I received an e-mail from "Human Resources", representing Green I. Marketing indicating that my resume had been reviewed and that I would be the ideal candidate to join their marketing team and that I should call them ASAP towards scheduling an interview with "management". Due to other pressing matters I had to attend to while away from my home office, I was unable to make that call until I returned home. Once back in my home office, I found two additional e-mails literally begging me to call "HR" to, once again, arrange an interview. Also, there were two voice messages in my Voice Mailbox from the "HR" manager asking that I call her ASAP. At that juncture, I did, in fact, call Green Marketing yet, my caller ID showed a last name that did not match that of the Human Resource person. I asked about this discrepancy and was advised that she was living with one parent, thus the name difference. Also, she continued to tell me that, due to taking strong cold medication, she was unable to think clearly!
Note that not one question was asked of me by this "HR" person, nor was I given any idea of what the job description consisted of. After asking, I was told that Green's clients consisted of firms like Home Depot, COSCO, etc.. I asked to be given an example of their marketing techniques. I was then told that the job would consist of "working" in a Home Depot like setting, equipped with a clip board, approaching customers in an attempt to "SELL" them cabinet refacing services. I was also advised that there would not be an exact commission, nor salary, and that the compensation terms were vague. I was asked one question: "Don't you think that having Home Depot get those customers phone numbers, regardless of their not wanting cabinet refacing would be of value to Home Depot?"
I responded by saying that I was uncertain if those customers would endeavor to agree to other home improvement sales pitches just because they were being called on the phone after the fact. At that instant, the "HR" person stated that I was over qualified for the job and that I would be taken off the list and, hung up the phone.

With respect to Green opening up offices, I suspect that their operation is mostly home-based, having individuals pose as "HR" people, making and receiving as many calls as possible in offset the number of people that they lose due to turnover. Incidentally, while talking with "HR" I was place on HOLD a number of times due, I believe, to her taking other call backs from people responding to their e-mails.
Hopefully these comments have helped those job seekers who want to look elsewhere to offer their
valuable services.

I am neutral on the matter however I have worked in marketing and sales for reputable companies before and just judging by their way of going about things I knew not to pursue an interview here. As the previous comment stated their website is extremely vague and appears to be fairly makeshift. Furthermore, I replied to there posting on craigslist (which in itself is odd for a big marketing firm to recruit on craiglist) and the woman left a message for me stating that they retrieved my resume from Monster...ummmm i dont have a monster account lol. Mind you they wanted to interview me right away, no phone interview which is the standard preliminary step of the hiring process for MOST reputable marketing firms. Finally, after I didnt call them back nor return their emails they continuously sent more emails and phone calls requesting an interview. Good companies move on very fast once they sense the slightest disinterest from a candidate so why they would continue to badger me with phone calls and emails weeks later is beyond me. I could be wrong but something just smells fishy to me. I'll pass.
