2/6 I found Earth Care and attempted to hire their services. They took my money and told me it would be 30 days before I received a refund. I was messaging the guy on Facebook and asked him if there was a promo code of which he gave me. He never told me there were conditions to the promo code. They took my money and then cancelled the job. The ad on Facebook said there was a 10% discount, there was no expiration date on the ad. When I asked him about that, he asked if I was a veteran or a first responder. That's what the 10% discount meant. It doesn't say that in the ad. They are falsely advertising discounts and are ripping off customers.
Desired outcome: My money back
I intended on hiring them to do a job for me. I corresponded via messenger on Facebook marketplace. He gave me a discount code, never mentioning that I had to pay via cash app. I paid $249 as a deposit, the balance to be paid upon completion. When I called, I was told that the order was cancelled due to me using the discount, and I didn't read the page. I asked them how we could rectify this; they told me they couldn't do anything. I would get my money back in 30 days. Obviously, this is an issue, no one keeps your money that long. I asked about the 10% discount and he asked if I was a veteran. It doesn't specify that you have to be a veteran or a first responder to receive the discount. I told them they better give me back my money, that I wouldn't allow them to scam me. They found it amusing. I told them I would be filing complaints with the organizations that supposedly gave them good review. See below.

Paid earthcare $240 in January of 2023 for 8 hours of handyman services to replace a bathroom tub and wall tiles. An appointment was made by them, I canceled work, stayed at home all day, and no one showed up. No courtesy call. Contacted them for a refund and was told they I would only be getting $49 back and the other $200 is cancelation fee. I insisted that it was not my fault and I needed a full refund and they asked me to wait for 180 days. I am yet to receive my refund.

They did something similar to me, they kept saying that the tech was going to show and he never did on three different appointments. Lisa stated that the rule is that there must be three reschedules before they can give me a refund. However, Since I left a negative /filed a complaint they have put my account on hold for 30 - 60 days and still refuse to give me a refund or service, Please see below for her emails to me:

Earth care has the right to cancel a service or put on hold a service if a client breaks our policy's in anyway such as putting the pro in danger, Working out a deal outside the company, trying to solicited cheaper work, consuming drugs or alcohol while the pro is onsite or leaving an unsafe work environment for the pro. If this is the case Earth Care will try to reach out to the client and work out a solution that works for all parties however if the client is unwilling to address the concern earth care has the right to cancel the service or put it on hold

On 2/24 I paid $249.00 for handyman discount services. I scheduled an appt for 0800 AM, and no one ever came. Finally, I get a phone call in the afternoon, but he would not honor the discount. Therefore, earth care stated they will put my request back in the queue. As of today April 8, 2023, I have not heard from anyone. I can not reach anyone, I have sent emails and chat messages, but I can not reach anyone to resolve this issue. When I call the [protected] number, no one usually answers the phone, and if someone does answer, they will conveniently place you on hold and then the phone hangs up on you. I have chatted with Lisa Chan, but she is not helpful either, how is it that she is the only person who may answer a chat.
