What the media failed to report was that they heard Det. Const. Rob Plunkett's real disciplinary record. They also heard his "extra curricular" activities (ie. like many dirty York Regional Police he had a "second" job). That is why the sentence fitted what any other manslaughter case would. This cop isn't anything special. 12 years for manslaughter is high in Canada. He was a cop? Nope Det. Const. Rob Plunkett was a criminal. The media is glorifying this guy without any facts. He was just a dummy and an arrogant ### who thhoght he could stop a car. He died for his stupidity. Only in Canada would a crook be made into a "hero".

Amanda never got along with her dad. Amanda was under psychiatric care BEFORE her daddy died and was in and out of rehab. Those are the FACTS. Our company used ITC Security Consultants for some 'security work' based on an online harassment issue our company was going through.
Although charges were ultimately laid (and dismissed) against the alleged perpetrator I am concerned on how the 'consultants' did their work.
The owner and Chief investigator on our case is also a Sergeant with the York Regional Police. His name is Russ Lauria. After interviewing numerous employees and speaking with this investigator I have come to the conclusion that he operates using York Regional Police resources. This included a CPIC report on the 'suspect'.
I am concerned that the 'suspect' was not the actual guy who conducted the harassment of our offices since it never did stop.
Anyway, this Russ Lauria is extremely sleazy and brags about how much 'muscle' he can put on people through his 'pit bulls' (York Regional Police).
The whole ordeal left me feeling a little 'dirty'. We had an issue and wanted it solved privately, not by the police. It was never solved and I believe Mr. Lauria used a personal vendetta to arrest a person not related to our issues.
The conclusion: My workplace is being sued by the 'perp' and my civil lawyer said the York Regional Police (re: Lauria) knew I would be sued due to the numerous complaint letters they had my employees sign and send to the police. They tactically "covered their butts" by doing so.
Just be careful using this company as they are corrupt and shift the blame to the employees for false arrest.
