In or about the week of December 14-18, an allegation of child abuse was brought up against a mother of two boys, ages 2yrs and 5yrs, by a resentful ex-spouse who has had a history of harassing and psychologically abusing his former wife. The mother had given her child a spank on his bottom for purposely spitting at his teachers and misbehaving at school. No marks or bruises were left on the child and police were never involved. However, the father immediately involved DCF claiming the children were being abused. The investigator Ryan Wells responded to the allegations by telling the mother that the children had to remain with the father for an unspecified amount of time. The father immediately filed an emergency hearing to gain full custody of the children and child support from the mother. After the DCF worker Ryan Wells removed the children from the mothers home, they never were returned back to the mother and were kept with the father until he won his petition for sole-custody and child support. At the court proceeding, which the mother had requested a continuance because she was never served and had only found out about the hearing only 2-3 days before when she went to file in court that the custody agreement was being breeched by the father. The judge did not seem to want to hear from the mother and denied her request to have an attorney or a continuance mainly due to the fact that the father was well prepared with his lawyer and presented pictures to the judge which he claimed were sent to him by the DCF investigator Ryan Wells via personal email/text message. The mother was never given the chance to even see the mysterious pictures that were shown to the judge even though she requested to see the pictures. The judges decision to grant the father sole-custody, child support and supervised visits were determined by the false allegations of abuse and the mystery pictures that till this day no one but the father, his attorney, Ryan Wells and the judge got to see. The mother has made requests to see everything regarding her DCF case and DCF has not provided her with anything. Since the children were removed from their home and taken away from their mother, they have been hospitalized and medicated. The 5 year old tried to run away from his fathers house in the night and crises unit were involved. I think there is something very wrong here. How can someone lose all their parental rights because they spanked their child once on their bottom and no bruises or marks were put on the child? How is it that the mother is told she has to put in a written request to view evidence Ryan Wells gathered in his investigation and has not yet received what she has requested but Ryan Wells provided through personal email/text evidence to the father to assist him in getting custody of the children. I sense there is foul play and something very unethical that has happened here. I truly believe this mother was set up to lose her kids and the father had help from the DCF worker to carry his plot. I know both the father and the mother. I know the mother as a caring, humble and loving person who has done everything to make her children's lives better and she is a survivor of domestic violence. I know the father who has always been selfish, abusive, narcissistic, a sociopath and only does what only benefits him. I think its very suspicious on how everything was handled and I really think that a conflict of interest exist here between the father and DCF worker Ryan Wells. I also question the validity and authenticity of the pictures that Ryan Wells sent to the father. For all we know they can be photo-shopped, taken at a different time and place. I am requesting for a thorough investigation on this matter.
