I, much like the last post I read, was also scammed by Marie who owns Yew Cats. Marie sent me pictures of how my kitten was developing. She was a beautiful chocolate point.

The kitten that she delivered to me, also at a location other than her house, was not the cat that she sent pictures of. This little thing was also thin and undernourished and also a blue point. The papers that she gave me was for a different kitten. It was for the one she promised me! This very small blue point that was not even weened yet.

How can someone do this stuff?

Also she collects disability social security and therefore demands cash!
Marie with Yew Cats is a bad, bad person who abuses animals and her customers.

I purchased a Siamese kitten from Marie in 2019. The cat I received was barely weaned, very small and had a few pink toes, which she assured me meant that the kitten was a chocolate point. I paid the $800, after which she warned me repeatedly that this was to be a pet only and not bred. About 9 months later, we found out WHY she was so adamant about not breeding her. Our sweet girl has vitiligo, and she's got it bad. I believe Marie knew; she didn't even want us to register our cat, as her cattery would be on the paperwork. We love our girl, but feel as if we were lied to.

This woman tried to scam me with a bait and switch. I discovered that she had a post for cats at $400 but tried to sell me one for $650. She wrote this long email about how its hard to find where she lives (I wanted to meet the cat and the parents), after I told her I wanted to see it, all of a sudden the cat wasnt available anymore. This after I responded to another ad--not knowing it was her. I later discovered that the cat wasnt available anymore because she noticed that I had noticed her scam...stay far far away. So sad, she uses her old lady status to disarm you. BE CAREFUL.

I bought two himalayan kittens from Marie in 2010 and they are the two best cats I have ever owned. Both were socialized and happy when I picked them up. I had a complete vet exam of both of them the next day when I got them home and they were in both in excellent health. These complaint letters don't sound like they are about same person. It seems like something very bad must have happened to her. Very sad.

I agree with you that this is a terrible cattery. The owners name is Marie Yewusiak.
