I have been doing business with this company for over 3 years and have never had a problem up until now. I fell behind on my principal pmts and made a pmt plan with Crystal the nice loan rep. I was scheduled to pay of the 15th but was late 4 days, this is not typical for me as I always come in about that time and pay my bill. At 1am this morning I got a knock on the door, it was the repo man! Despite my efforts to work something out, he couldn't and my car was repossesed! The tow men were actually nice, not like you see on TV so that you Mr. Tow Men for not doing what Mr. J.T. the manager at the Richardson branch did. This morning my hubby and I went to the location to see what could be done to get my car back, well what do you know the price went from 475 up to 1025 and something to get my car out. A ridiculous fee of $500 bucks was added to the price along with daily storage fees of $20 per day. Can anyone tell me where does customer loyalty come into play? Who can afford that? And why is the price excepionally higher than the loan? I finally get it, they want to keep your car or coerce you into doing something you don't want to...I excused myself for a moment from the building to weep and get a hold of my emotions. My husband followed to comfort me, and what do you know, Mr. J.T. comes out and says the following "I can knock off $500 dollars of your loan if you just tell me where client X car is". I attempted to explain to Mr. J.T. that I already told you he works in my building and that's all the info I have to give you. He stormed off with a non-chalant attitude. I then took 30 mins to think and call some folks for help with $$. I was not successful, so I went back in calmly and spoke with Crystal to see what can be done. J.T. rudely interupts and says "we are lying changing mileage numbers to help you and we can get in trouble for it and we want you to help us"., I stated that I didn't want you to lie b/c we won't lie b/c of our religious beliefs. He then interrupted again and said "well GOD can help you get your car and if they don't want to lie then forget it, were not going to refinance it, I am not dealing with this ###." I then said "Mr. J.T. there is no reason to get angry with me." He jumped out of his seat and said as I was tyring to explain that there was no more information I could give him about another loan client and quote "I am not going to debate this, thats it". I was confused because the whole time as I was trying to plead my case, he was unreasonable, rudely interrupting and not letting me speak . He spirit is bitter, I have heard him deal very meanly with others who were calling in to get there cars back. He attempted to also add another client who I willingly gave info about, thinking that they were just going to attempted to collect a debt. Not repossed their car like they did. I think that this company is full of cooked, money hungry, and heartless people. Except for Crystal and her mechanic Alex that office business practices are unethical and dishonest. Sorry Crystal that you have to just sit there and watch all the evil things he does. His day is coming and thank you Crystal and Mr. Mechanic I will pray that my GOD bless you for being nice to people when they are down. I left the office feeling as if someone had died, broken in heart and spirit. I do not ever want to go through that again. I hope God forgives him for his evilness! Thank you "CanYouTrustThem" for exposing this company for what they truly are "Legal Loan Sharks", whose job is to target the poor and working class to take what little bit they have. I am warning you not to do business with them or you will end up like me.

#1 You are complaining cause you had issues, was late on your payment, made a payment plan, broke the payment plan and lost your car. REALLY? Now hear me out before you get mad...whether or not you have been with a company 3years or 30 years, your word should be your bond. You obviously failed to keep your word so the company had procedures to follow.

#2 As for the repo fees... most repos cost a company between 300-500 with a storage fee being charged for the amount of time the vehicle is kept for. I have seen many companies that charge 25.00 a day... it is not about if you can afford it or not. It is to motivate you to come get your car cause they dont want it. To sell a vehicle that has been repossed take alot since most of us are not car salesmans we are in the finance industry not the sales industry. We usually lose money are cars we have to repo but you cant keep it if you dont pay for it on time per your contract.

#3 Legal Loan Shark is harsh. No one twisted your arm or put you in the situation where you had to work with these people. YOU COULD HAVE SAID NO TO THE LOAN. OR GONE SOMEWHERE ELSE. Little harsh to blame them for the terms of the loan when you seem like a smart, educated woman who can read the contract BEFORE she signs it.

As for the managers attitude or lying on an application, well i totally side with you there. There is no excuse for that. You should contact a home office or state vp if they have one and explain his behavior to them.

I am sorry, but she has every right to expect the loyalty of a business she’s done business with for multiple years. I believe what she is complaining about, is how she was treat despite being a loyal customer.

The title of legal loan shark absolutely fits. A loan shark probably won’t make you do business. If you choose to, they own you. The unethical way the manager asked her to provide information on another client is not only unethical, it is potentially illegal.

Look at the payday/title loan industry as a whole. There are so many bad actors and slime balls, the government was forced to place strict regulations on them.

I will agree with you on one point. She did not have to do business with them.
