Was doing a regular check on the bank account when I noticed an unauthorized charge from Easy Saver. I knew of this promotion from Pro-Flowers.com. Basically Pro-Flowers offers deals like "Free Shipping" on orders of a certain amount. However once the customer has filled out everything and is on the last screen about to hit 'Submit' to confirm the order they might notice that they are in fact being charged for shipped. Something outrageous too like $18.95. So they might be thinking WTH the shipping costs almost as much as the flowers, what gives?

Well in reading the fine print you'll see that shipping isn't free, you merely get a "Shipping Rebate" from Easy Saver. You basically have to sign up with to get your shipping rebate. The company runs a sketchy 'savings' site that offers discounts on various purchases kind of like AAA but costs a monthly fee that varies but seems to run around $14.95 or so a month. I had signed up to get my shipping rebate since that was my deciding factor to go with pro-flowers in the first place. I was given a 30 day free trial and called in an canceled it after about 15 days. I was told it'd be no problem for me to cancel and that I could either cancel and end the service now or I could have it automatically end after the 30 days without incurring any payment. Well since I still hadn't gotten the shipping rebate I decided to let the service run until the end of the 30 days to maximize the chance that they would process the shipping rebate before the trial ended. Well I went back and it looks like they have been charging me for 2 months now and are coming back for month number 3 so looks like I have to deal with these criminals the old fashioned way
