I registered in udacity e-learning website to learn "Introduction to JAVA". They took my debit details and mentioned i will be billed after 14 free trail, said that will be reflected in my payment page before my free trail expires. As it is taking too long to complete the course i thought to cancel the course but Without any prior notification or without any mail saying that my free trail is going to finish from udacity at least a day before they have charged $199 from my account and now they are saying can;t refund my money back with some dirty rules they made for them. I came to know that many students like me has lost their money without any confirmation from udacity. I humbly request justice for all of us.

I joined their first cohort, paying 700 bucks USD, being told it was lifetime access and that it will only stay that price for early sign-ups so I took a chance. They had partnerships with Google, Hootsuite, Facebook and I was impressed. The course was new, fine but the the structure, timeline, and several things were changing even during the course. Being told it was lifetime access, I prioritized other things while I put this on the side, knowing I had access to the content when I would actually need it. Now I go back to the site and I'm blocked from all content. What they told me was "if you finished the course based on their timeline (which was changing) you would have lifetime access but because you didn't finish, your only option is to pay an re-enrolment fee of 500 USD". Whatever happened to their mission of providing "accessible" and "flexible" education? It just seems to me like a way to earn some extra bucks off of those who weren't able to complete it on time because those who did probably don't need to go back and revisit it anyways. People who finished still have access so why not the rest of us who paid the same amount?! Either way, they could've informed their students in the beginning (if their intention was to motivate students to complete their course) and not tell us it's "lifetime access" to course contents only to block it afterwards. Shouldn't this count as false advertisement? Am I crazy in saying this?

Another thing..all of the projects we had to complete were based on the company: Udacity. Hence, we had to spend time figuring out their customers, create surveys, come up with a facebook ad campaign etc.. and we weren't allowed to use our own project/startup/idea as basis for these social media projects. It felt a bit odd and kind of demotivated to continue once I found out about this but I had already paid. They argue it's to keep it consistent so they can mark the assignments easily but why couldn't they have chosen another company for the purpose of education?

I signed up for the website www.udacity.com. I started to learn the web development course and at the beginning it was fine, but later a lot of unnecessary and unclear topics appeared. So I tried to reach the owners and wanted to get info about it, but they didn’t reply. The only way to contact them was to send emails, but they ignored all of them. I was really disappointed in it. The courses contained much unclear info, which was useless without answers. Please, post comments about your experience.
