After 3 years of living at the Seville in Gilbert AZ, the pricing structure to become a sports club member had come down drastically. Now it would only cost you a one time fee of $500, plus a monthly fee of $145 for the family. My family decided to give it a try. We quickly learned that being a sports club member really meant that we would have the use of the 3 pools, fitness equipment, and other sports courts, but if we wanted to join in any of the other activities available to "Club Member", well, we would have to pay extra per event. We wanted to give it a try anyway and really enjoyed our first couple of months, despite the extra money we were waisting here and there. Then the economy weakened and we decided it would be best to cancel the membership that we really weren't getting much out of for our money anyway. We spent 3 weeks of phone calls, emails, filling out forms and hand delivering to a desk at the club to finally find out that our membership would be canceled in 30 days, which means that we would be charged for an extra month for something that we already felt was a waist of our time and money. After trying to explain this the the club director and possibly get this taken care of, we were told that the 30 days is club policy and that we would simply have to deal with it. I would not and will not recommend anyone to join this club or any of its affiliates as they will surely overcharge you and take advantage of you and your money without any regret or remorse even if you try to reason with them. I have a pool in my yard and there are parks all around us so what is it that I was getting at this club for the money anyway? Seems like a very expensive fitness club with half the equipment. Definitely a very bad experience from me and my families point of view!

If a company has a rule stating that you must give 30 days to resign your membership, then you must give 30 days. This person enjoyed the club for the first two months...his only complaint is when he went to resign, that the club stuck to the rules which they should...or else why have an agreement. Merrill probably is overweight and needs a nice place to work out...looks like a country club wouldn't be the place for him since he is probably socially inept.
