Premier Bathrooms Took advantage of my mother

My mother invested in a walk in bath tub. I believe the seller just wanted to make a sale and really didn't care if the tub was suitable for this client. The tub is nice and works well for everyone except the intended user.

The door for the tub is too small for my mother to get through and it opens into the tub. Now tell me if, she gets into the tub and something happens, how does she or any one else get her out.

I am reading through the installers check list--now he has checked yes for all of the following---

- the slide bar and grab bars are not in the proper place for her

- he did walk her through the door--and when she had to squeeze through--he told her it was just hard because she had clothes on----sorry but he just didn't want to start over with another tub--he just wanted to get the job done--and who cares if it works for her RIGHT?

we have been trying to get ahold of the consultant--with no luck

we are tired of people taking advantage and if we don't see any results from this complaint--then I will personally advertise my dissatisfaction as loudly as I can.

Inward Vs. Outward Swinging Door

This is an extremely popular topic when discussing a walk-in bathtub. We constantly hear things like “which is right for me”, or “I will only consider an inward (or outward) swinging door”.

If you think about physics, an inward swinging door and the water pressure in the tub work together to keep the door seal sealed. Also, an inward swinging door is ADA (American Disabilities Act) compliant because you’re not stepping away from the appliance to gain access. An outward swinging door enables the bather to open the door in case they need to get out of the tub. (keep in mind that you will flood the bathroom) whereas an inward swinging door needs to drain before you can exit.

There are certain tubs on the market that are built with an outward swinging door due to the size of the bather or if someone is wheelchair bound, but for the most part, a traditional walk-in tub has an inward swinging door.

Premier Bathrooms Marketing

A sales rep went to my parents home and sold them the "Hydrotherapy" bathtub. They are 83 years old and have 3 vacuums from prior RIP OFF SALESMEN. They know older persons want the best for their spouse, and play upon this. My Dad obviously would buy the world for my mother and this salesman took advantage of his
devotion to her. He sold my parents this bathtub - and the bill wass $17, 000! - for a TUB! and they had to employ a certified Electrician to do the hook ups as this was not included. What TUB could possibly be worth $17, 000!1 This Company is making a killing from the Elderly. They sold the Tub on the Friday and they were there to install on the Monday Morning - so not even enough time to stop it! I am IRATE over this SCANDALOUS behaviour and would NOT recommend this Compnay to anyone potentially thinking of buying a tub like these.

By the way, it is virtually impossible for your parents to have bought on Friday and installed on Monday.
Premiers requires 4-6 wks as they are very busy. Paperwork/delivery from one office to another takes much more time so quit telling stories, you never know who is going to read them.

I think the only "Rip-off" was your inheritance you are feeling blue about.
No matter when the install was done, there is a 10day cancellation period in Ontario.
If you think "no tub" is worth that kind of money, you should have been at the meeting
to see what it is all about. If you think its too expensive, why don't you start your
own company? Leave your parents live in safety & comfort. They're smarter than you.

Premier Bathrooms Scammed

I bought a tub from these frauds based on the word of the salesman, after he'd measured my bathroom. He told me that his tub was 2 inches bigger than the one I had, inside, and the same outside. As it turned out, the tub was the same size outside diameter and three inches less outside diameter. I would have had to remodel my bathroom to install it. I had the old tub taken out, trusting the salesman, and then learned the truth. I now have a tub in my garage that I can't use. I contacted Premier and after sending an installer out that lied and said the old tub had never been taken out, they graciously offered to refund 1/2 of my money. They get the tub of course. I turned them down flat and went to see an attorney. He said his fees would probably run $10, 000 with no satisfaction promised. Not only is Premier a crooked company, the law is skewed to favor these crooks over honest people. I would, of course, never do any business with Premier but recommend against anyone doing business with them.

Premier Bathrooms Received no product, kept money

After doing much research. It seems that my father, 73 years old, is not the only person who has been scammed and ripped off by premier bathrooms!

My father had a sales person come out to his house regarding the purchase of a bathtub on 8 Jul 2008. He gave them a deposit of $5, 300. A few days later he called to cancel the product. He was told that too much time had elapsed and that no money would be refunded.

When my father looked at the contract, the sales person dated it 8 May 2008 instead of 8 Jul 2008! My father called the salesperson and recorded the phone call. He told the person he was recording the phone call and spoke with him dating his contract incorrectly. He asked him how could his contract be dated 8 May 08 when he didn't even come to my father's house until 8 Jul 2008! His credit card receipt verified that!

The salesperson admitted the error and told my father that his money should be refunded. After many phone calls, just like every one else there were excuses, threats about a lawyer, and refusal to give my father back ANY of his $5, 300!

He was not refunded ANY money. They took $5, 300 from him and he got nothing! I recommend NO ONE do business with this company!

Premier continues to rip of consumers and workers alike. No one ever follows through with their complaints. They over charge for their tubs and short the payments of the installation sub-contractors. Most of the customers who get ripped off die before their complaints can even be heard.

Scams are not a "Canadian" thing it is an unethical person thing! Hard to take your complaint serious when it is more about "Canadian" than it is about the scam! Prejudice comes in all shapes, sizes and colors! Best of Luck!

Premier Bathrooms is ripping off the taxpayers and the people of the USA. My wife (who is Canadian) worked for them for years, and was told she had to work in the USA.She was told she had to take trips accross the border and to lie to customs to be able to cross. They would forward her supplies to the hotel she was staying in and she would go out on sales calls. She did this 2 times while she was working for them and refused to do it any more when she found out how illegal it was. She would get a % of the sale and could make $6000.00 in a week. She then would have to mail her contracts back to the Washington office and dispose of all her supplies when she crossed the border back into Canada. She would be paid in US Dollars with no filing with the IRS.
Many of Premiers employees are Canadians working illegally in the US. Even the installation crew that installed the tub in the womens home when they took off the door of the tub are Canadians working illegally. His first name is Mark.
My wife was fired from Premier and the main reason we believe is that she refused to do a 2 week Texas trip. These Canadian Employees are working illegally and not paying taxes in your country. They are working in the US, and they are there as i am writing this. We have reported this to ICE but they will take a while to investigate, as they are swamped.
