I've gotten a couple dozen phone calls from this company, trying to sell me an extended warranty on a 10 year old vehicle. I've used their "press 2 to be removed" system, and they call back. I've talked to their agent and asked to be removed from their calling system, and was told I would be...and they called back. I've talked to their agents several more times, asked to be removed each time, been told I would be each time, yet still they keep calling back. Most recent was 10 minutes ago.

I have no relationship with this company, but I'm about to send them a registered letter telling them that if they call me again I will bill them for my time and the use of my phone equipment for their marketing calls, and that their agreement to my terms will be signaled by their next call to my phone number. Failure to pay will result in a suit for collection in Maryland. I'd prefer that they just stop calling me...

I just got a call from them and when I told the guy to take me off the list the hassassement begin. I finally hung up. I called the real National Auto Divison and they say many people are being hassessed by this company that is unknown to them. I wish I could find out who they are.

I think that there has to be a hacker that can break into their system, and download a virus that would delete their database, but thats just me hopping for this to happen. I hope that maybe someone might know of someone that knows a hacker that do this, , , , it would be a great hack...

How about a does of their own medicine. Use a program that calls them say every 2 seconds do that for about 6 hours and jam up their systems? No worse then them harassing us if no one can stop them they would have to investigate us right ?

I have received too many phone calls from the National Auto Warranty Service. They keep trying to sell me an extended warranty. I have used their "Press 2 to be removed" system, and they call back. I've talked to their agent and asked to be removed from their calling system, and was told I would be...only to be called back repeatedly. I've talked to their agents several more times, asked to be removed each time, been told I would be each time, yet still they keep calling back.
I have no business with this company, and even though I am on the national 'No Call List' they call me again and again and again. I wish that they just stop calling me. I have NO interest in doing business with a company that harasses, rather than serving people.

To EVERYBODY who has been recieving these irritating calls from out of state, false numbers, just to find that when they answer there is an unspecified company claiming that your auto warranty is about to expire, that "we have made several attempts to reach you"...and so on; After researching the matter online, everybody who has followed through with these calls just to attain the company's information, has said that the company is
AUTOMOTIVE WARRANTY SOLUTIONS (despite what people will write on this or any other message board)

I have called them a few times today and hassled whoever I get on the phone, just to give them a little bit of the taste of irritation that I have recieved over and over again because of them.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CALL THEM AND DO THE SAME...

[protected]

AND here's a few extensions of supervisors that you would be transfered to if you had followed through past the call screeners.

I've been getting these calls for 6 months now, and I don't think it's just a T-Mobile issue. I have SprintPCS, and I know people with Verizon Wireless are also getting these calls. Unfortunately there isn't much your cell carrier can do for you -- they are legally obligated to connect calls from any number that isn't specifically blocked. I guessing the reason that these calls come hit one carrier all at once is that they are using sequential dialers. Each carrier has blocks of numbers that all start with the same 6 digits and most of the time run sequentially. So, if someone is using a war dialer they might go through 10-100 thousand numbers with the same carrier. I've also filed an FCC complaint for what it's worth.

Hello Everyone,

I'm a student at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA, and I'm writing a research paper on the effectiveness of consumer-awareness websites. Specifically, I'm looking at how people can use the site not only as a forum to air grievances but also as a constructive tool used by businesses to help resolve disputes. I would really appreciate any input that anyone would be willing to give.

If anyone would be willing to share his or her experience, I'd be more than willing to listen. Please leave a comment below if you'd be willing to do so.

Thanks a lot!

I just got the call. I didn't pick up. Usually it's my husband who gets them. And yes we both have T-Mobile! So maybe there is a connection with that.

This is so out of hand. After I connected with the operator to ask for the umpteenth time for them to stop calling me she said she would put me on the do not call list. I gave her my number and since then I have received fifty calls from people asking me to take their number of the list. The ### is giving out my cell phone number as the number to call to get your name off the list. Interesting thing is almost all the people who called are getting these calls on their T-mobile cell phones. Is there a connection? I spoke with T-Mobile and they were no help...told me I could change my number. I'm wondering if others also use t-mobile or are people with different services getting the calls? Seems like an easy way to stop the calls is quit T-Mobile. Maybe if enough people do that, they might take action.

If you really want to trust these guys check out go to the Kansas Dept of Corrections and do a former inmate search using Darain Atkinson's name. You will find he served time for fraud and forgery back in 1986. Maybe this is why he also has a house in the Cayman's.

I don't get it - I tried calling U.S. fidelis and they said they don't have an outoing call department. Both people I talked with there seem nice and congenial - try to help. Are you people sure you got the right company pinned down here?

Before we go rushing to harrass a company or a poor couple's home, we should make sure that we're getting it right. Does anyone know for sure that it is U.S. Fidelis (formerly National Auto Warranty) or could it be someone scamming us using their name? Has anyone gone through the process with a credit card, received information, or anything tangible that could link this scam to an address? Will they only accept credit cards or is a check acceptable (could setup a bank account with nothing in it and write them a check - see who cashes it)...

I've been getting harrassed as well - just want to make sure that the mob mentality doesn't put some innocent company out of biz or unneccessarily harrass people in their homes.

I just filed a complaint with the FTC too. This has been going on at my company for over 2 years...at least 6 calls a week if not a day.

I agree this company is a pain.

But in know how they got my number. And maybe once you hear this you will realize it happened to you too!

I got a call on my cell phone from some sort of weird area code. (dont remember, it was like 2 months ago)

Anywho it was an extremely muffled voice that i could hardly understand.

The few words i did understand made it sound like it was in regards to my bank account or my credit card.

So i thouhgt tho myseld "man this call sounded important"...so i called them back.

And as soon as i called them back it said

"thank you for choosing blah blah blah warranty blah blah blah"

it made it seem like i knew that i was calling them back and that by doing so i said it was okay to call my cell 2 times a week.

I will be seeking legal advice on this. Every other...to every day I recieve a call from this company...National Automotive Warranty Center...for over..Im guessing a year! I have tried to use the select an option to remove my name to talking with somebody. Each time I talked with somebody a vulgar remark was said to me, I was hung up on, or the phone was slammed on the desk several times in my ear! I have filed dozens of complaints with the DNCR and this company still calls...my home phone. The best thing you...we can do is document the call and file a complaint with the DNCR...this will also time stamp the call as well as the complaint.

I was called on 4-1-09 and asked what telemarketing they were with and the ignorant man said this is National auto warranty co. not a telemarketing., I told him I was on the National no call list and he said well you are on a national no call list and we are the National auto Warranty company--What you think of that! Hung up on me. Good riddance.

Yes, I agree. These same a**holes have called every phone number I have (including my 13 year old son's). Its always the same. "This is the second and final notice that your vehicle warranty is about to expire, press 1 to speak to an operator or press 2 if you are not interested in this protection". Pressing 2 does nothing, as they continue to call over and over. I have never had so many "second and final chances" before. Press 1 and someone will ask you the Year; Make: Model: and Miles, then hang up on you. They will call again several days or weeks later with your quote. I now always press 1 so I have the opportunity to give them a piece of my mind. I have also reported them to my State's Attorney General's office.

All of our numbers are on the Do Not Call List and they STILL ARE CALLING US! I don't know who above said that they don't do that, but they DO!

They call me a couple of times a day on my cell phone. I can kind of tell now if it's coming from them.

Same kind of thing as the "last chance" to refinance all my "credit card debit". I talked to someone after the umpteenth call on that issue and asked them how they got my number and they said I was on a list of people who had "a whole bunch of credit card debt". Really? We have none. And I don't think that information would be privy to those outside the financial institutions one would have dealings with...and I got hung up on when I asked where they got the list from.

Rachel in Missouri must be working for this company.
I AM on the do not call list and have been since 2005 and this company has called me for many months. It does not matter if I press #2 to be removed or #1 and speak with an operator. I just filed with the FTC, but don't believe it will help. My car warranty isn't about to expire, because its' non existent! I never heard of this company before. I am sick of these people calling me it's harassment. I have recieved more then 1 call in a day at times!

If any of the operators are reading this...get a life and a real job.

To play devil's advocate... I know first hand that this company is not a scam. If your phone number is on the do not call list, they will not call. They do not use disposable cell phones, the company exists and employs around 350 people in the St. Louis Area. Many companies have more than one name. I have a warranty policy with National Auto Warranty Service on my Toyota and have filed 2 claims, both of which were filed successfully and paid by the company. If you look at the statistics, they broker more than 250, 000 auto warranties per year and work with 7 nationally recognized warranty companies. The warranty that I have is with a company called Warrantech, which also sells warranties on high end electronics. Unknowingly, I already had my plasma warrantied with the same company. People who do partial research and don't go the extra mile to make sure that the information they put out to the masses are just as bad as a company who doesn't strive to have the best business practices. IMO- maybe you should take the steps to protect yourself and your phone numbers from this sort of thing before bashing a company that does operate above board. The FTC is not suing NAWS because they are breaking no laws. Agreed, the constant phone calls are annoying, but there are ways to take care of that sort of issue. Hopefully, people will take into account the nature of the business and the amount of other happy policy holders out there.

I used to work for this company, and shady is definitely an accurate word to describe the kind of business they are in. Starts with the mailer which is sent out that created an intense and false sense of urgency. This is the bait, if someone bites they call into the call center, where there is a bunch of guy sitting in a call center next to each other. They read from a script that is again VERY misleading and creates another false sense of urgency, at times you are asked to "talk to a manager or leader" where you then tap the guy next to you on the shoulder where he role plays as the manager or leader.

He talks about how he is "making an exception" to again give a false sense of security like your getting hooked up on the warranty. Then you are encouraged to use EXTREMELY high pressure tactics to close the sale, sometimes encouraged to not hang up the phone unless they hang up on you. The whole process is very deceptive and if you have ever seen that movie Boiler Room, the similarities are haunting. Now none of this is particularly "illegal" but it is VERY shady and deceptive. Much like the owners who like to shroud their selfish and greedy intentions behind religion. I quit the company after seeing these shady tactics as I could not work for such a deceptive organization.

Car Warranty's as a mathematical equation ARE a ripoff, the chances of you getting the coverage you need and the coverage cost is GREATER then the entire cost of the warranty is very unlikely. On top of that this company is a broker, they simply sell the warranty at an increased price and keep the difference from the warranty. One warranty that we sold was a vial of liquid you put in the coolant system and you can charge as much as you want for the warranty as long as it is above a specific price. YOU GET THE KEEP THE DIFFERENCE. How shady is that? Snake oil products and shady tactics. Do your research guys, dont support companies with business practices like this. Hopefully this will help clarify the company for many of you.

I am truly sick of these calls. I have never owned a vehicle with a warranty, never purchased a vehicle warranty and they still call so it is obvious that they are just trying to scam money out of people. I know people who don't even have a driver's license and have never owned a vehicle that are getting these calls so those of you who are saying that this is a legitimate company and you must have purchased from them to get these calls are full of crap. I have filed numerous complaints with the FTC and the Do Not Call Registry along with contacting my telephone company. There is nothing any of these people can do at this point and it is really sad. They are calling my home and both my cell phones now. They have gotten to be so rude when asked to remove my name that they now push a button or something and I get an earful of this horrid high pitched, very loud tone in my ear and then a laugh in the background and they hang up. If anyone has successfully stopped these calls please post so we can stop these people.

The best defense is to contact your Telecommunications company to start cracking down on this. They have to power to block, or help defend from the attacks we are all getting.

I also think it will be to everyones best interest to contact the telecom companies that own the numbers as well.

I am currently working on a list to provide to everyone.

I've been getting nuisance calls on my Telus cell over the last few weeks, telling me (automated voice) that "This is the second notice that your new car warranty is about to expire." My cars are all old junkers! Tired of getting these bogus calls, I decided to go through the initial pitch. The girl asked what car I had, it was obvious she knew nothing about me or my vehicles. I asked what company she was with, and she said "Warranty Services". I asked where she was and she said "a regional call centre". I asked if she was in Canada, and she said she couldnt say anymore, but that she would add me to their do not call list. I said that was fine, but that I also wanted to press charges against her company. She hung up. The number on call display was [protected]

I bought National Auto warranty Service, for my 2004 Foed Explorer. They I guess paid it out to TPA Risk Management. My vehicle recently needed some work, and they deemed my vvehicle was a commercial vehicle, and cancelled my warranty. I do have magnetic signs on the side of the vehicle. It read RC Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitstion, Inc. with two phone numbers. They ask if I transported wildlife in the vehicle, and I told them sometimes. RC Wildlife is run by 3 woman, the youngest is 58 years old. Last year we took in 14 fawns, 12 opposums, and two baby raccoon, raised them and put them back in the wild where they belong. Most of the wildlife were brought to us by the public or the Game Wardens. It is total volunteer, and no one gets reimbursed for anything. I can't believe they said my vehicle is a commercial vehicle, and National Auto warranty did nothing about it. Robin Branham

I remember these fruitcakes calling and put both my numbers on the national do not call registry. They finally called after numerous times I tried to tell them to stop calling. One day I decided to get a little coy and play along with their scam. They got what they wanted, trying to scam me. However, by playing nice, I got what I wanted, their names to submit to the national do not call registry. Now they know not to mess with me.

I have never felt so disrespected during a phone call to any company. i recently purchased a used vehicle and opted to purchase a Zurich Warranty from the dealership. two days ago i received a final warranty notice in the mail, called to inquire and the gentleman would not pause to allow me to ask any questions or offer my own opinion of my already existing warranty coverage through another carrier, Zurich Warranty services. He kept insulting the other company. he was extremely rude and i am disgusted with the practices and etiquette of the department i reached through the [protected] telephone number included in the mailer. It seems to be nothing but a scare tactic to switch to your coverage. i hope something will be done about this before other people experience the same problem. if i receive any calls from this number i'm going to become so aggrevated and hopefully don't encounter what everyone else already has. i'd suggest calling from a *67 restricted/private number.

t of all, I work for this company and it is not a scam. We do not have throw away cell phones. We all have our own desks with our own computers and phones. What people dont realize is that there are more than 700 warranty companies in America that could be calling them. We are actually in the middle of trying to sue other SCAM companies for calling people and putting our company name on the caller ID.

We have been in business for over 25 years, we have over 500 hundred employees and we are expanding. If we were such a "scam" as everyone is saying we would have been shut down years ago. With the calls... We only contact people we have spoken to before. so unless you have called in about a warranty its not us calling!

We personally do not provide the warranty. We are a broker for many companies such as Warrentech, Royal Administrations, eCarmor, and many others. These companies are the same companies you all purchase extended coverage through at some of your dealerships. Except in this case, your buying it through the dealer as a broker and not us.

So PLEASE, before you all start complaining and calling people who work at this place ###... get your research correct.

**** for Jack- Look up Mcdonalds or any other business on the internet. every place has complaints. Does that stop you from eating at McDonalds?

I used to get mailers constantly, though I must say I've never been phoned. But then again, I always hang up before I even get a name or find out why they are calling me.

My suggestion is to Just Hang Up! My time is worth more to me then listening to some companies unwanted call.
