I have been for a very long time looking to purchase a very tiny tiny male yorkie for companionship to my female yorkie, and as well, to eventually breed. Anyone who has been on this quest, will know that the tinier the yorkies, the more expensive they are. Natalie's yorkies have been around for a long time and advertised small yorkies, as well as champion lines. When she told me that she had a very tiny 5 month old male yorkie, that she was originally thinking of keeping for breeding, but was now available for purchase, I thought this was it. Although reluctant to have a puppy shipped, I did not find anything negative over the internet on Natalie's yorkies, and went ahead to have this puppy shipped.

Well, when I received the puppy, of course at first, I was thrilled. But... after careful view I noticed how boney this dog was. I took him to the vet the next day, which confirmed that this puppy was indeed underweight for his size. It almost seemed that this dog was purposely starved in order to be able to honestly say that this dog was only 1.7 pounds at 5 months of age. To this day, the dog is very shy, a sign of it not being socialized - not playful at all, probably grew up in a cage. He came with kennel cough (where 3 weeks later is still coughing) and giardia (a parasite, which had not gone away with two rounds of medications) and to top it all off, the vet thinks that the puppy is much younger than said - only because he still has all of his puppy teeth. So in the end I will probably have a male dog that will grow much larger than my 4.5 lbs female yorkie. Needless to say, after one week in our home he has gained half a pound - in just one week! It has been 3 weeks now and I will bring him back to the vet tomorrow to see if he has gained any more weight - and to see if this parasite is finally gone, as well as to see what can be done to get rid of this cough.

Anyway, I have never posted anything negative about anyone in my entire life. I have never ever complained about any purchase I have ever made - but I guess some things you just have to learn for yourself. When they tell you never buy anything over the internet - believe it. Go and see exactly what you are getting - and do not believe anyone about what a puppy weighs unless you weigh it for yourself. I obviously cannot post anything negative on Natalie's blog or on Youtube, because she can delete it. So here's hoping that anyone thinking of purchasing a puppy from Natalie, that they think about it very very carefully. If I had seen any negative post on Natalie when I was looking for a puppy, I surely would have looked elsewhere - better safe than sorry. I am surely sorry now - and want to spare anyone else this horrible experience.

Just to come back in my defense. Natalie is the one who contacted me the same exact time I received the puppy so I was in my car driving home when she called to make sure that he arrived in time. Yes - I told her that I was thrilled and that he had arrived, but that was because I was thrilled to finally get the puppy I was longing for. Natalie says I contacted her - that is false. She goes on to say after about a month... NO! That is false again. the very next day I took him into my vet in order to confirm what I thought was a malnourished, unsocialized, giardia infested, kennel coughed puppy! I never, never waited. I took him in immediately. I again did not contact Natalie. She was the one who emailed me and was wondering how the puppy was doing. I never would have contacted her, but since she asked, I told her. I still have the emails if I should need to post them, so Natalie - don't go there. Never, never, never did she offer my money back or another puppy. NEVER! Again, my only reason for posting this complaint is for others to be very, very careful. This is my experience, others may be thrilled with Natalie. I however am not.

I got my first little girl from Natalie in April 2008, who just passed away two weeks ago on 04/20/21. 13-1/2 years of a loving relationship with a dog that was rarely ill, couple GI moments. It was old age that caught up to her. All-in-all, spread amongst several households, our family has gotten a total of six dogs from her. We have loved (and are still) loving them all.

Wow...was checking out Natalie pups but all this has scared me. I have a Yorkie with severe allergies and now carries his left hind leg as well. He is only 7. I am looking for a companion for him. Vet bills have been very high just for him! Prefer a healthy puppy. So many scams out there it's scary! Anyone have legit breeder I can contact? Actual health guarantee would be nice.

I have bought pups from Natalie and we are happy!. She has never misled us...she tells the truth...and loves her pups!. I would recommend her to anyone that wants to buy a puppy.
As to date there are [protected] people the USA. ( I know cause i looked it up). That means that out of all USA...just a few ugly comments from folks that did not get the exact size. Your puppy is the exact puppy that God wanted you to have and He sent you.
You all should be ashamed of yourselves that say anything negative about this breeder and her pups. She is amazing and she tries beyond the regular breeder to make you happy. This is a puppy she sent me. He is amazing.

I recently inquired about a puppy on her website. Alexander which has since sold. Thank you everyone on this site and from yorkie talk and scam report for telling your stories. This has made such a difference in my decision making. I've gone with another breeder and found our perfect puppy. I asked all the right questions and am very happy with the communication I have received with this other breeder who I found on the AKC website. Sounds like poor breeding especially in recent years and your comments have stopped me from making ANOTHER heart breaking decision with a pet. I'm attaching a picture of Zeke our newest family member. He will be my daughter's Christmas present. I get weekly pictures and weight updates. He is a little chunk and should be 5-6 pounds. THANK YOU AGAIN! I was mortified to see all the negative information about this breeder when I googled her to find her site.

When someone feels that they have purposely been misled, and are hurt through the actions of a back yard breeder, their pain is not the only consideration here. A small helpless puppy has been brought into this world with odds stacked up against them. The new owner sees heartache for themselves, their family and the young life who was bred recklessly for profit. Most individuals have already fallen in love with their unhealthy puppy and worry what will happen to him/her if rehomed, so they wind up keeping the dog with the extra vet bills, extra time spent on care, and the heartache of not knowing exactly what's in store around the corner - loving their furry baby in spite of it all. Opening yourself up to criticism for trying to warm others of your misfortune and trying to spare others this pain is commendable. This is also my first blog post on any board but I felt compelled to do so because of the attack of Cally is having to put up with. Everybody out there is allowed their very own personal opinion regarding Natalie's Yorkies and her pups BUT keep your opinion for or against her her ability as a breeder without negatively attacking others for their different belief. Personally a breeder with so many complaints against her regarding the health of her puppies is definitely enough for me to look elsewhere and I personally appreciate anybody who would take the time to write out a well thought out negative review to warn others of her situation. My breeder has been in the business for over 20 years, has a recommendation from our vet, known at the feed store by employees who sell her top of the line puppy food, has both mother and father on site, a photo album of past litters and references that you can call. Anybody can fake these things but all of them added up together is the way to purchase a puppy.

Natalie is a dedicated breeder. She doesn't inbreed. I got 2 females through another breeder and became friends because they belonged to her bloodline. I became friends and I have been to her home dozen times. Her home is clean. I have stopped early in the morning and even unannounced and I love to talk to each and ever one of her precious dogs that she cares for. Her dogs are well cared for. If they need veterinarian care they get care. She has champion bloodlines which shows red online when you view the pedigree. The puppies pedigrees are all view-able online at anyone's leisure. I bought a new male a year ago from her. He is in perfect health and perfect coat and perfect personality. Natalie is responsible up around the clock with never a break from her dogs. Her dogs are fed before she is fed. Their environment is kept clean. I know she washes many we-we pads a day. She retires the females at 5 years of age and places them in homes. I can't believe the things said here from some of you but it is uncalled for. I had a Yorkie with allergies once and it wasn't the breeders fault. I neutered him and he lived his life her with us. His allergies didn't show up till he was a year old. Collapsing tracheas, liver shunts and patella's are the weak areas for Yorkies. I haven't had a liver shunt in my pups but you talk to a vet that went through training for their degree in Kansas and they say it happens to Yorkies. It's not from inbreeding. It can happen to a kitten.

I would be happy to point any customer who is thinking of purchasing from Natalie to check out scam report, I've been updating the complaints against her as I find them. Including letters from vets stating the health problems they have found in her puppies. /link removed/

I have known Natalie for several years & have the highest regard for her. She's always willing to help people who have yorkies, even if they haven't purchased them from her! She's forgotten more about yorkies than most vets know. If anything, she's too honest. She believes everything people tell her & she's gotten burned from doing that. She was involved with one breeder that has just been investigated.
Natalie would never knowingly sell a sick puppy. I also don't believe she would do any inbreeding-she's against that. She doesn't deserve to be attacked this way. You also could contact me if you want the truth. This really upsets me that people would say these evil things that are lies. Donna Jensen

Constance, I can vouch that I am an actual past customer of Natalies. I have found over a dozen of complaints and reports of AAI, Liver Shunt, Bone and Teeth problems, Skin Issues, Spinal Problems, Open Fontanlle, the list goes on and on. Puppies have died before they make it to the age of one and then are replaced by Natalie, the health problems show up after the "warranty" has expired and the medical vet bills accumulate. Unless you have your new puppy x-rayed you might not know the spinal problems that will eventually show up. They always show up and she keeps crankig out litter after litter denying she knew any of this. She told me that I was the first one she had heard of with a dog from her that had problems. I can laugh at that now as I found complaints dating years before mine. She told a lady last year that she never had AAI in her lines, I contacted her TWO years before that lady purchased her puppy and told Natalie myself that my dog had AAI. That's despicable.

Constance...You are incorrect. All these bad experiences with that breeder are written by pet owners and not other breeders (competitors) like you are implying. They are true pet owners who have suffered and their yorkies have suffered because of unethical breeding. First off, to charge thousands of dollars just because the puppy is little or breed to be little and calling it a teacup (no such breed) is beyond me. Then to sell puppies that are very sick and have genetic diseases just tops the cake. I am so happy that I did not get my puppy from this breeder. All I have to say is that "God does not like ugly"

OK I just read some of these last comments before mine. SHAME ON YOU! I am sure that these comments are from jealous competitor's of Yorkshires and you just have to put down Natalie. This always happens to a good breeder. Please call me if you are in doubt to buy a puppy from this breeder and I will recommend her and tell you about her. She is amazing. She even sends off adorable blankets, new outfits, etc with your puppy. She will replace any puppy if need be. These articles are from competiors...even I know that. ... Again... SHAME ON YOU jealous breeders.

I have known Natalie for a long time now and purchased a few dogs from her. As a breeder up here in Canada, I only have good things to say about Natalie. She is honest and as my husband has been in her home twice for pickup of pups, I can honestly say that her home is amazing. She does not kennel up dogs and forget them. She is amazing and all the dogs had little bows, were well groomed and some had outfits on. Keep in mind that Gerrit ( husband ) was there very early in the morning. Her home is very clean and my husband had nothing but praise for Natalie. The pups we bought are as cute as a bug, healthy and I was very happy with them. I would recommend this breeder and will go on buying from her. Her line is amazing and her prices are very reasonable.

I love the idea that I am buying from a dedicated breeder that has no kennel and fusses over her precious little dogs.

Judy I'm so sorry to hear of your problem with natalies breeding. My pup is one today. She had surgery Thursday as a result from poor breeding by Natalie. Please check out yorkie talk.com at all the wonderful posts from people that are crazed about what Natalie is getting away with. Please email me. Lets all get on the bandwagon to shut Natalie down. I too bought a yorkie from Natalies Yorkies. My sweet baby is 4 years old now and just over 2 lbs. The vet told me she was inbred and she has the bones of an 80 year old. My heart breaks because my sweet angel can hardly walk on certain days. I wish I had known before, or I wouldn't of put myself through such heart break. :(

Several years ago I received a 4 yr old Yorkie from Natalie that she had retired. I called her the day I received her and said she was dragging herself and itching. Natalie said she needed a bath. I told the little Yorkie to my vet who said after looking at her skin...she had severe allergies. She was referred to the U of M dermatology dept. it was confirmed on a scale of 1-10 ( 10 being the most severe) she had a 9. After 5 yrs of treatment with antibiotics to clear up skin infections from the biting and itching along with trying varies other meds to cut down on the itching all have compromised her immune system which has lead to cornea ulcer, bladder, skin, and ear infections. Abscess teeth. My heart aches for this little girl as she has gone through so much, she is the sweetest little Yorkie. The vets bills have topped over $5, 000. She also had grade 4 subluxation patella when i got her which will require surgery. The U of M made a comment that all of this little Yorkies puppies will also have allergies. Very sad... Please be aware so that your heart is not broken when you purchase one of Natalie's puppies and watch a little one suffer through health issues.

I also had/have dogs from Natalie. The first one was only with me for a year to a year and a half. Medical problems: liver shunts, severe seizures caused by the shunts and we chose to have the dog put down after her second stroke. Her medical bills came to approximately 5, 000. I still have the other one, but I have little to no time left with it. This dog also has liver shunts.. They are internal in the liver and cannot be easily repaired. His liver is 1/3 of the size it should be and is pushed up in his chest near the lungs. The dog has seizures on a regular basis and is now treated with two seizure medications, twice a day as well as a restricted diet. This dog has cost me approximately 15, 000 + dollars in medical bills. To fix the medical problems, if they could, would cost me approximately 30, 000 and there are only two "pet" hospitals in the country that will even attempt to fix shunts that are internal to the liver. Also keep in mind, with this type of medical problem, the dog requires the medication every twelve hours, on the dot. This has impacted our lives in other ways. We are not able to leave on vacation as we cannot trust that medication will be given to him as required. We must be home, every twelve hours, to make sure he has his medications, so it restricts what we do with our social life as well. I love my dog and wouldn't give him up for the world, but am angry about the situation. II strongly caution that if a puppy is purchased from here that the new owner ask for a two year health guarantee. The vet indicated to us that shunts don't usually present themselves until they have grown a little.

I have a tiny beautiful Yorkie that is 14 months old. She is extremely healthy, active & very smart. We are VERY happy with our dog. So much so that we are picking up a male this April. I have been in Natalie's house. Very clean & not a cage in sight. Looks to me like someone just has too much time on their hands to play games online.

I have received two puppies from Natalie with one being a replacement puppy for the first sick one. Also Janice Richards who commented in Natalies defense also bounced a $500.00 check for my refund on the first liver shunt dog, she is working along with her. Please beware as I am still accumulating vet bills on the sick one that I have had for almost 6 years now and that does not begin to compare with the heartache and what my little boy has been through. Good and honest job Calley! And yes these dogs are kept in cages! And yes I have also been threatened more than once.

Natalie also deletes any negative reviews on puppy find.com so those 5 stars are because she's edited the actual reviews. She will also harass and threaten anyone who posts about her. Don't support back yard breeders.

There are at least 10 complaints against Natalie and her short lived, genetically inferior pups online. All you have to do it search for them. She cranks out litter after litter. Proper care and adequate vet visits do not heal genetic defects, it's her poor breeding practices that she continues to make money off of. Shame on her! If you are looking for a healthy well-bred dog, you will not find them from Natalie, just heartache and vet bills. Do your research before being swayed by a cute face and a fast talker who lies and promises you another puppy when yours dies but don't expect her to feel sorry for you, they are expendable to her, with more always on the way.

I have purchased several yorkies from her and have bee very pleased with my puppies she has always been honest with me.I have been to her house twice and found it very clean none of her dogs are caged she loves them very much. There is no breeder out there that can please everyone.I have also purchased 2 other dogs from different breeder they came to me sick but Natalies dogs were always healthy never sick so it is hard to beilieve that your puppy came sick to you I hope you didn't take your puppy out to show it off to all your friends because that is a big no, no.Natalie did have a friend that breeds with her but lived somewhere else that she no longer breeds with because she supected that the lady wasn't properly caring for the dogs and Natalie no longer breedes with her, as far as getting a puppy from Natalies house they are all healthy and well cared for.Sorry you had such a teriable experiance with her but I truley believe she is an honest person and would have relaced the puppy if you would have let her.Cally I don't know you but pray that you never decide to breed go to the yorkshire terier club of america and do some research on the breed. You don't get a dog as a companion and then later decide gee it might be fun to breed you would be concidered a back yard breeder.I love all my dogs from Natalie and she has always been very helpful.

I am Natalie from Natalie's Little Yorkies and this post is total harassment Non of these things are true. When Cally purchased her puppy and she received him she call me to say how happy she was and how perfect her puppy was she received. She said he was exactly what she wanted. After about a month of Cally having this puppy she changed her tune I offered Cally her money back or another puppy if she wanted one and I received an email from her not to contact her again here is a picture of the puppy she received. This puppy was vet checked before he left and very healthy.

I have known Natalie for years and I have purchased several yorkies from her and all of my puppies I have purchased are beautiful. I totally disagree with you. She is a very nice person with quality yorkies i have been to her house several times and all her dogs and puppies are very well taken care of and loved.
