This company totally ripped me off. First they set you up with a so-call tutor to teach you a new language. As soon as they get your money you NEVER hear from them again. They say they will call you at a specific time and they NEVER do. This whole thing is run by some guy name John Aitchison. This guy is a complete Scam Artist that works out of his garage. Do not waist your time of money! They go to great lengths to make they website look legitimate but it is all Smoke and mirrors. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS!

OH... and get this! He even claims he's a Volunteer-Regional Director, Congressional Lobbyist. HAHAHA! What a joke this guy is!

I've been learning from Language Convo for over a year and could not be more pleased with the experience and the price point. I would highly recommend Language Convo for any prospective language learner, regardless of experience. The company is legitimate, the transactions are secure and I have absolutely no complaints with the program.

This is John Aitchison, CEO of LanguageConvo. While I would imagine the above complaint is from one of our competitors, and we've asked Complaints Board to contact them, we're a licensed educational company based in Eugene, Oregon. Not a scam, we have thousands of happy students who have learned a language with our tutors over the past two years; you can visit our office at 44 W. Broadway, Eugene, Oregon in the Broadway Commerce Center downtown if you are in the area. Additionally, please feel free to call the Oregon Secretary of State or visit their website if you'd like assurance that we are in fact a licensed educational company and have been in operation for more than two years. Our Facebook page also has hundreds of reviews from real students! And a note to the above complainer - I formerly volunteered as Regional Director for a great non-profit, The Borgen Project (borgenproject.org), and our primary mission was to meet with US Congressmen and women to advocate for increased funding toward worldwide poverty reduction programs. I'd encourage you to donate!

Hi, this is John Aitchison, CEO of LanguageConvo. First, I would encourage any potential students to visit our Facebook page to see hundreds of real student comments: https://www.facebook.com/LanguageConvo

Second, we are a licensed educational company in the state of Oregon, please see the Oregon Secretary of State's website for our licensure.

Third, we have never, ever, "scammed" anyone. With thousands of students and over two years in business, we have only had to provide a handful of refunds (and most of those were to students who simply did not have time to take as many lessons as they were hoping).

Fourth, yes, I was formerly a Regional Director for The Borgen Project (http://borgenproject.org/), a non-profit which talks to hundreds of US Congressmen and women every year to push for more funding to help end world poverty.

Fifth, we are very open to complaints. Your complaint though makes the false claim that "As soon as they get your money you NEVER hear from them again. They say they will call you at a specific time and they NEVER do." We will be in touch about that slanderous, untrue claim.
