i have read all your comments, and agree with you all. they are manipulating, liars, gold digging and crafty pair of jokers! it comes to no surprise that eventually, their true colours have come to light. well, karma truly does exist - i strongly believe this.
the jokers are back in the game of ruining peoples lives.. but this time behind the scenes. google snehal lakhani and you will learn that he has been given a suspended sentence. its plastered on the leiecster mercury.

for those who would like to pay anit a personal visit, which i am planning on doing, they are doing a restaurant where the old lakhani group used to be on melton road. i am waiting for it to open, so that i can personally insult him in front of whoever may be present.

We made the mistake of booking our Mandap through Lakhani Group back in 2011. We were drawn in by the glossy brochure and promises...We duly paid the deposit and thought to ourselves that's one thing off the list at least. Then we went to actually see the Mandap we had chosen because they were using it at a venue near to us...It was literally falling apart along with all the other decor. The centre aisle carpet wasn't even carpet...it was styrofoam stuck down with silver duct tape!...When we arrived the sister of the Bride asked who we were and we explained we had come to see the decor. She told us please please please do not use Lakhani group for your wedding. I got on the phone with one of the jokers (I wanted to put a derogatory word here as I think its justified but the filter will not let me) right away...I can't remember who it was...Snail or Ant...We were told that the decor is what it is...This left us in a predicament because we didn't want to use that awful Mandap at our wedding...Their communication was awful and they kept using the death of their parents as an excuse which I think is despicable...Eventually they stopped communicating directly altogether. They also got their employees to lie for them all the time. The long and short of it is that we decided to go with a company who we knew would deliver and be reliable and we lost our deposit...Thank goodness we didn't fork out any more money to these two jokers...I am so glad that this is finally getting the exposure that it is and it is at the top of the Google search. Bottom line is this...If you are getting married in the near future...STAY AWAY from Lakhani group...Run...Just run as fast and as far as you can away from them...They will pour honey in your ears but do not believe a word they say. They have ripped off far too many people and ruined too many weddings...I hope they get caught and I hope they go to prison for a long time but they will probably use the money that they have gained from ruining peoples weddings and events to run away to some other country and live a life of luxury...

I completely and utterly agree with all the comments on here, however negative they may be unfortunately they are the truth and I am still waiting having been married for FIVE YEARS now with TWO CHILDREN! Not only was the quality of the photographs and initial dvd absolutely abysmal but I spent hours at the office trying to salvage their shoddy workmanship whilst four months pregnant being considerably stressed out and disappointed.
I have been to the office on many occasions and had no response in emails, telephone calls or texts.
They are absolute con artists and their parents would be throughly ashamed of what they have done stealing peoples' hard earned money and leaving them with NOTHING! Girls dream of their wedding day and have so many aspirations and wishes of how they hope it will be..The memories of our special day have not been given to us and we paid in full. Im heartbroken that I have nothing to show my little girl and boy when they grow up.
I HATE THEM and hope someone out there can help us all.

Hi All. Well nothing I am reading here comes as a surprise to me. I was fooled into working for this company in [protected] (as you will all know both Anit and Snehal are very good at fooling people). I'm English and come from an employment background of highly proffesional hospitality and events. I left a very good job and one I was very passionate about to work for them. It broke my heart to see Weddings being ruined and all for the sake of ££££££££££ in their back pockets. I'm sure that there will be Brides reading this in which will know me and know that I did everything in my power to make sure their day went well. I left them without a job to go to because of their sheer disrespect for others. I disagree that it is because of the loss of their Parents (who were very dear to me and are still in my heart). These pair of crooks were the same when their Parents were alive but I think they hid it from them.The Lakhani Group were in dire straights with money while I worked for them, never picked up calls or emails unless you were calling to pay a deposit or final payment pre-wedding. They insisted everything had to be paid prior to a wedding and promised the earth with additional extras for you if you made payment. They would then vanish from the face of the earth leaving the build up to your wedding very stressful. Your special events were not at all special to them. I don't doubt that there must have been some events they got right or how else could they evidence the truely glam pictures and DVD's you were fooled by? I can assure you that these were very few and far between. The Brothers would go all out of their way for some events but there would be a catch to it. Maybe they had the promise of the rest of the familes engagements/weddings to do? I'm appauled by the fact they were allowed to continue with their scam for years after I left and can only imagine how many weddings were affected - my heart goes out to you all. I drove past the shop today, the shutters were down and I think that they have closed down. Let's all of us pray to God that they are having to beg for their lives to get by each day. I do not know a soul in their personal lives that would give them a penny to help as they had used up all of their prayers and resources years ago. Their Parents were kind decent people with pure hearts and held great respect within the Leicester community - what a shame that their 2 sons Anit and Snehal Lakani took advantage of this and ripped lives apart. Had these 2 men not have been their sons Mum and Dad Lakani would have had a prosperous business, their reputation would still be on a high pedestal and they could have passed with peace in their hearts instead of shame and bankrupacy. We got married last year and we used Lakhani (unfortunately) for our wedding decor and videography. We booked them nearly two years in advance to try and get a good discount, which they of course did. They showed up to one out of the many meetings-we were dealing with Snehal but he did not make it to a meeting in their shop, despite us driving up from London. On numerous occasions, we had made plans for meetings which never happened with no reason as to why. At this point we had made everything up front (abiding by their policies) and we were worried as the wedding date loomed closer and closer.
We didnt mention anything to my parents (brides parents) as they are natural worriers and they just wanted me to have my dream wedding-for their only daughter. We did not book Lakhani for the ceremonies prior to the main day (Indian wedding and reception), but our photographer who was booked privately asked who was shooting the wedding and they warned us to be very careful of any dealings with Lakhani. As my mum didnt want to worry us, she didnt tell us and we were not telling her for the same reason.

Day before the big day, I drove down to the venue and sure enough the agreement for some lights were put up which made us very hopeful. We organised it so one of my husbands best friends would pop into the venue early in the morning and have a look-we provided detailed descriptions and photos of what it should look like. Our main concern was that the mandap would not be put up in time... When I walked into the venue I noticed that the ceiling drapes were not put up. Reasons for this was given that they did not have a ladder despite the only meeting we had was at the venue.

Anyways we got a phone call towards the end of our honeymoon-apparently Lakhani did not send anyone to pick up the mandap so it was at the venue for nearly 2.5 weeks...they respond to no phone calls, texts, emails and they always say the same thing about their phone number changing. They always say about the personal tragedies in their family, but you cannot take bookings if you cannot do what you have been paid for. It is as simple as that. With regards to our wedding video-we had a text from Manjit asking for the money directly even though we had already paid Lakhani so we had to pay twice and we have got our video finally.

We had a meeting with Anit and the photographer dropped in unexpectedly and Anit was shellshocked because he did not know what to say. The photographer was claiming not to have been paid for 12 weddings and he is an honest guy trying to make a living-he has been wronged also. Excuse me but i cant help but feel that you are taking this very personal almost like you are one of there family members, I'm compassionate that they had a difficult time as we all do, but unfortunately life has to go on.

Both mine and my wife's family are working class families and like all Indian parents they saved from the day were born to give there children a grand wedding day, now that's to these so called "BROTHERS" I have no memories of 3 of my uncles on my wedding day that have passed away and that's no fault of mine its Lakhani groups problem.

I spoke to these guys on numerous occasions, I even questioned them in a diplomatic manor to whether the rumours of there business going in to liquidation was true, and it was Clearly denied, which i still respect because I can appreciate that the business failing would be difficult to accept, I was asked by them to give them time to catch up with there work and then they'd get my stuff sorted, and guess what nothing.

You keep saying if people had left them alone, but seriously think about what your saying, facts work better than ###, no1 people have paid for a service, no2 on the day service was not met, no3 all memories of there biggest days of there life's have been taken from them due to Lakhani group, had people left them alone the very fortunate few that did manage to get there goods from them wouldn't have even got them.

Now people like you can say all you like its clear your support for them is definitely not financial its more personal but that's your opinion but reading through these comments in here and talking to other members of Leicester community these guys have made a lot more people upset and frustrated rather than happy.

I've been bitten by these Jokers too, it seems they're Parents ran a very successful business and that is a credit to the lakhani group but I find it an absolute joke that people are defending them.

Its understable that a certain percentage of people had a good service from them, hence why they didn't go into financial difficulties any early

Our family spent £5000+ on our package from these guys and 2 years latersurpriseesurprisee no lavish story book, no DVD's and on the day they werent even contactable, Instead 3 months later we got a mad later from india calling us telling my wife that if we want our wedding video we need to pay her... really what the hell is this

I dont blame others I blame them they cant run a business and try a full of rubbish they act like they cutting edge but all they really do is supply a average service and even then thats only on the day not after.

yes, i have their number and address, but i wouldnt give it to you. I know these brothers and i wouldnt want you to get involved in anything that is unnecessary. Just get on with your life and let things be.

the company is liquidated and theres nothingg you or anyone can do about that. Legally theres nothing that anyone can do, thats a sure thing. Further, i woulds suggest that these matters are left. Sometimes, people dont know who they are dealing with and the Brothers are powerfull.
To be honest i know of them and they are a force. I dont believe what has happened is intential and done on purpose, There are circumstances that have made things difficult. However, at the end of the day its only business.
Once comment i would make is that they are not dishonest people and in the decades they have traded they have never been dishonest. I am sure there have been circumstances beyond there control that has made things go differently.
Just make sure one thing, that if you are asking for their address and number, then, be sure that you want to visit the Brothers. One suggestion, politeness goes a long way, dont ever under estimate anyone in the world.

I have recently heard that the lakhani group has ceased to exist which is the best news I have heard this year. They are awful human beings. They promise the earth and couldn't deliver anything. It's taken us 2 years to get our photos and video and it has been a difficult and laborious process. I strongly recommend anyone who has used this company to seek legal advice to find out how you can reclaim what is rightfully yours. These individuals should pay the price for ruining people's weddings.

We have booked Lakhani group for our wedding and they wont even call us back to make arrangements. If they had gone into administration they shouldn't have taken any more orders, or they should have informed us that this was the case. We have lost over £2000 and they don't even care to explain. We have tried to call them numerous times but they just wont respond. It is a shame that they are disgracing their father's name like this.

I have worked with the Lakhani's arraging flowers for weddings, i was paid by cheque which bounced when I tried cash it, I have tried to contact them by telephone and in person but the Lakhani's are never there. How do I go about contacting Watchdog as it was a substantial amount of money? The Lakhani's should not be able to get away with this!

In Feb 2012 was approached by Lakhani group to provide a Choc fountain for one of there customers. I agreed a rate with Snehal and provided my company services. I was told that the payment could be collected from their office. Me thinking that they were a reputable and professional company said its ok.. BOY HOW WRONG I WAS!
It has now been 9 months and still chasing and chasing Snehal not answering calls or texts and as previous complaintee loads of ### stories. Spoke to his brother Anit and he said come and pick up payment. Everytime I've been to the office both brothers arent there and staff have been kept there to fob people off. If u are a wedding services provider I would not work with these cowboys and only if u get the money upfront. KEEP WELL AWAY!

He is not in charge of finances it's Snehal. Snehal has sent me threatening emails. Does anyone know where he lives? These two need to be sorted. I agree with Bad Singh however no harm should be brought to the families. These two brothers need a reality check. Ive contacted Keith vaz. Lets see what he can do.

Kandy77 - Dont get me wrong, I wouldnt harm any of the family members. But i am fed up with both brothers arrogence and iggnorence. Ive had very verbal arguments with them over the phone and and at their shop and it doesnt get anywhere! they only way to get to these people is through their family members. Me and my wife are hard working people and took us 3 years to save for our wedding and photos. Sorry but why should their wives live in a land of luxury and me and my wife stress every night? You will regret it if they liquidate their company and you wil never see anything of your special day!

Just spoke to Anit, we have come to a resolution over the matter. Please do not threaten their families, they have nothing to do with this and are innocent people. I will keep you updated with the progress and hope that this matter is in resolution. After a long conversation with Anit, I get the feeling he has a heart and genuinely feels sorry for any let downs. I appreciated his honesty and hope that this matter will get resolved now in the proper fashion. It is not right to threaten them, I am wrong too, as I have lost my temper and threatened but it is not right. Best thing to do is speak to them on a level and try to come to some sort of arrangement. Best for both sides. Watch this space, will keep you updated.

It is time we organised a meet up with everyone that is annoyed over them, maybe we should go to his fat house and chain ourselves to the gates. Trading Standards are not helping me now as Lakhanis have sent them threatening texts apparently from me and links to this forum. Thanks Trading Standards, they rob us of thousands and do nothing, we get angry and say something and they stop helping us! What a joke. For anyone that has not threatened please email John Fox , he might be able to help as he is in negotiations with them (LOL), negotiations?!, its not a business deal, they should give people what they are owed, or their money back! He might beable to help if he feels obliged! This needs to go further, it has to be put in the Leicester Mercury, these guys needs shutting down!

If your issue is with them, you should keep it with them! As for saying you're not bothered about confronting their families-that's just irresponsible and stupid! What's even more embarrassing is you refer to yourself as "a bad bad Singh" and are talking about harming people's families-not actions that really go well with being a "Singh". We should all work out how to reach a positive outcome for all Lakhani's victims, and keep that as our main aim.

Chaz187 - you say criminal charges for fraud? well the thing they are failing to supply a product/service as promised. Yes we can take them to court, not only will it be lengthy and no doubt they would loose so they have to face the costs. But they can file a repayment of only £10 a week if they wanted to and our UK justice system will accept that. I went through this crap when i bought some FAULTY sofas from an independent shop 3 years ago.. but you see they all hide behind a limited company and being a separate entity.. if they wish, they can just liquidate it and we have lost our money for good. they liquidated LAKHANI BROTHERS but opened up LAKHANI EVENTS. Yes they live in milion pound houses, but no one can touch that. We see it on watchdog every week. So, for my eyes are only going in one direction and trust me this will not be nice for them...
