Iowa Steak

Purchased products with the verbal guarantee that if we weren't completely satisified with the items purchased, we could return them.
We have called repeatedly and have never received a return call. We filed a complaint with the S. E. Michigan Better Business Bureau and this company never responded. They are not members of the Better Business Bureau.
Do not do business with this company.

Wish I had read the internet COMPLAINTS before this happened, so all I can do now is try to warn others ! After a long day at work, there's a knock at my door. A guy said he was in a bind, as his Iowa Steak truck had been in an accident near Tecumseh so he couldn't get his deliveries to where they needed to go. If I had a minute to look at some steak products, he'd make me one
heck of a deal on it so he didn't have to return it to the warehouse...
While my RED FLAGS came up, the guy seemed so sincere I let him in. FIRST MISTAKE ! His assistant then gets out of the truck & they bring about 20 boxes of steak/ chicken / seafood into the house & ask to set it down on my kitchen table.
He then goes into his sales pitch... How great it is, will save me so much money buying in bulk, he will load it all into my freezer, .. shows me HIGH retail prices and then negotiates down.
Well, I bought a bunch of steak and chicken & ended up paying $ 250.00 for it. Another Red Flag : The guys now says--- hey.. if you have any cash in the house can you pay partly in cash... Said he gets 1099's and just trying to keep down the amount he pays in taxes. So I write a check for $ 150.00 and pay $ 100. in cash.
Well, we tried the Ribeyes last night and while they were edible, they were chewy & POOR quality. After reading so many of the compaints here, I am sure if I ask for a refund I won't get it. Buyer beware ! Just say NO !
