The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

I signed up for 3 months, had not choice but to pay via credit card; 3 months is up and they automatically take 3 more months of payments from my credit card; I did not want to renew; I complained; the only way to complain is to 'submit a support request', there is no phone number. You have to wonder about a business that will not provide a phone number! They wrote back and said well, I could change it from 3 months, to 1 month, and then they could reverse the 2 months of charges, but not the one month of the 3. And I have to cancel in a very certain, particular way, online. But if I cancel, then I'm pretty sure they're going to say, haha, but now that you no longer have an account, we can't refund you. I am BUSY, I dont' have time for these games. I speak English. They speak English. I clearly stated that I dont' want to renew, and I want a refund for the additional 3 months they billed without permission. Nope. I have to jump through their hoops. I can't find where they want me to do all these things, but yet, I can't call them either.
So time passes, I cool down.. and then wouldn't you know it? Three months later, they bill my credit card YET AGAIN for ANOTHER 3 months, knowing perfectly well, since they speak English, that I do not wish to have this website.
They won't call.. they just write their little support notes which just simply repeat and copy their last message, and then they close the support request.
If you sign up with instantecom.net, you had better be prepared for it to be a lifetime commitment.

I am the original complainer and I am writing to update my complaint.
Instantecom.net has resolved my problems. Thank you!
I am NOT an ex-customer, I only wanted to cancel 1 of the 3 websites I created through instantecom.net. I am actually VERY happy with instantecom.net's website offerings. I was just utterly frustrated in trying to deal with my problems in writing, back and forth online, through the online support venue, within a website I hadn't used for months, with return msgs going to an email I don't really use either. I was eventually given a phone number to deal with a live person, and my problem immediately got resolved, and I regret that I wrote these bad comments about the company.
In reality, it is a fantastic way for people like me, who don't know enough about creating websites, to create a very nice and highly functional site with most of the bells and whistles that anyone might want. (Maybe it has ALL of the bells and whistles, I don't know enough to make that claim, but it had all of the bells and whistles that I wanted for my own sites). I don't like being bugged and hounded by people, and so I actually appreciate the online method of dealing with companies, it is just that once in awhile, 'live' assistance is required... and I have to admit that I still don't see the phone number on instantecom's site, and so most of my problems were caused by my own doing.
I have to admit that I am cheap. I don't want to pay for someone to create a site for me, lose control of how things look, and be at someone else's mercy, time-wise, and money-wise, every time I want an update. I have had other websites before, including those build-a-site things, but I found them so limiting in what could be done, that they were virtually useless to me. I really did a LOT of research into different website creation sites and programs, before choosing instantecom. I initially signed up for my first website with instantecom for only 1 month, in case it didn't work out for me.. and this was well over a year ago. It is still going strong, it's easy to add and update, and very generous in its offerings too. I still fail to correct the invoicing option to be billed quarterly or yearly on my first site so that I can save money. I'm just not good at finding time to deal with those fine points, like canceling the right way. I love that I can do this website thing by myself and I get compliments all the time.. and nobody I deal with can tell that the site is made within instantecom. We all have our competencies, and website creation and dealing with online billing details are not some of mine, however my site comes across like I knew what I was doing, and it is worth the cost for all that I get in return.
Please don't let my original complaint disturb you, or make you feel leery about signing up with them. Check them out, you can try it out for free before you pay up. You may need to spend some solid time in getting your site the way you want, but it is time well spent and you'll be so happy with it and with yourself for doing it!

i would like to respond to some of the claims and misinformation provided by this ex-client. For starters, requiring a customer to use a credit card to pay for an online purchase of products or services is not a shady practice, it is how nearly every single transaction is conducted on the internet and what this client would have required their own customers to do through the e-commerce store they paid for with us. Our customers EXPECT us to bill their account automatically at the end of each payment cycle, that is called recurring billing and is done to keep your website online and accessible to your customers. For those wishing to cancel their service, they need only to log in to their account (which verifies ownership / security) and click "account" then "billing" and finally "cancel website, " where they are given cancellation options. This customer REFUSED to follow these simple steps but rather insisted on calling up and leaving voicemails asking to cancel. I don't believe any business owner would want a random person to be able to call in and cancel their website through a voicemail or phone call, that is why we require you to log in to your account to do this and that process is the standard practice for canceling web services. Next, our customer support phone number is listed clearly on our homepage, directly above a link that says, "For billing issues, use the support ticket system." Please understand that this customer REFUSED to follow any directions, is providing false information about our process and spent more time writing this dishonest review than they did just following very SIMPLE directions to cancel their service. There was no conspiracy to take her money, waste her time or mislead her... we provided the service she paid for and a simple/straight forward process for canceling it - we even offered to save her two months of payments and she STILL complains about having to click 3 links and verify the cancellation.
