I'm quite shocked to have received a few emails from Love Ragdolls (www.loveragdolls.com) over the past 2 months regarding sales on kittens, with an "act fast now" showcase type of newsletter. This appears to be more of a money hungey cat mill as opposed to a reputable breeder who breeds for enjoyment, pride, and to better the breeding standard.

Usually breeders have a waitlist because they only breed a couple of litters each spring, fall, winter and summer. That allows the breeder to take the time to properly care for all the kittens and give them the attention they deserve. Love  Ragdolls has a full page of kittens available that are "marked down" in price. You don't see that with reputable breeders. It seems like they view their kittens like last seasons articles of clothing, on sale, trying to get rid of them, so sad.

Regardless of how much they try to appear well educated about breeding and make it seems like they care for the kittens, when I saw those emails  come through my inbox it put up red flags. And their kittens unfortunately don't look like the ragdoll standard. Visit the Cat Fanciers Association website and the TICA website and look under the breed Ragdolls. That's what a ragdoll should look like.

Please really do your research when selecting a breeder. Make sure they're in it for the right reasons. Breeding should not be done for profit or monetary gain. The breeder who does it for the right reasons doesn't have "too many" kittens, is able to properly  care for all of them, and pretty much breaks even when all is said and done.

Long story short, I'm taking myself off their subscribed email listing.

They are diffintely a cat mill. I have purchased 3 kittens from their cattery in Longville, La. and two have since died. They were sick when they arrived, I live in Md. These kittens are very expensive and you also pay their shipping. My vet bills are closed to $3000 trying to save these poor babies. I too continue to received emails from them offering kittens at half price. I believe they are just trying to unload sick kittens. Please do not buy from them. I am trying my best to get them closed down and fined for animal abuse.

It says they are a partnership of breeders throughout the US. I see Traditional colors as well as your non traditional, non pointed versions. No red flags for me yet, as I think the website is sort of a meeting place for several breeders, not one cat mill.
