I responded to a TV ad on 8/28/12 for a back support belt. When you call into order, your in CANADA, there will be a FEE charged to whatever type of payment you make. No one mentions this fee. I was told my down payment would be 39.99, plus S/H, plus I paid 15$ extra to get it shipped faster; first charge to my debit card was 75.95. It isn’t the product that makes me file this complaint it is the financial practices. The next 39.99 payment would be due 9/28/12, on 9/5/12 I got hit for 39.99. I called and spoke to a nice male rep, who reverse the charge.

Several days later I decided I wanted to return the belt. I called and spoke to a female supervisor, she tried to talk me out of returning it, BUT I got an RMA number, and
did not return it that day. However my bank account got hit for $40.31. I called, they said it was my bank, , and or V–a. Call them they said. I figured the supervisor got pissed
and hit my account for another payment . I called 2x more and got no satisfaction. I spoke to 2 women and we all agreed that I was to get 2 separate credits for the mess. One credit for the 40.31 and One credit for the returned merchandise.

I dont trust the mail, and its too easy for the receiving clerk to misplace the return pkg, so I FED EX’s the pkg back to them, located in Milford, CT USA, so I would have PROOF OF RECEIPT from them.I got the stuff back to them 2 days before the first 30 days had gone by. They advertise a 30-day money back guarantee. They have the merchandise but I have yet to get my 39.99 back from them for the merchandise. I have emailed them 3 times and am not getting anywhere. I did get the 39.99 out of the 40.31 (less the canada fee) after I filled out a form at my bank which cost me 5$. YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH. SO BEWARE. They are going to hit your credit/debit card before the due date, and then try to get the lump sum in one hit, instead of the 3 months of single payments. They tried that on me, wanting $119.99 at the end of Sept. not even into the second month and their trying to get it all. They said it was a pre-authorization. I did not authorize any such thing.

You can buy the thing in China for $12.
What a rip off guy this HoHo is.

I am speaking with Mairieeyam (Markhome Ontario) one of your phone representatives and I have explained about the T.E.N.S. + E.M.S + Pulse Massager (Dr-Ho's Pain Therapy - Circulation Promoter. Model #CP-1, Lot #[protected]) is not working right anymore. When you turn it off, it does not go enough to the right, you turn it on, just to the click and it's automatically on the 1 and it zaps like it is on #5 instantly.
I asked to speak to her manager cause she didn’t seem to understand what I was saying/explaining. She passed me over to her supervisor, Louis (Louee’s) and he said to send it back and they will either fix it or send me a new one. I am taking a picture of it and my other one to show you that it does not start out on the middle F of OFF, when off but the other one does. And when it just gets turned on to the click, the one that works right goes on before the 1 and I can slowly increase it, but the other goes directly to the 1 and it zaps the 2 people that I used it on, where he and she screamed and said take it off.
This is not good. They are afraid to have it on them again.
Pictures are to show where good one is not on the middle F at off and when just turned on to click it automatically is at 1 but zaps you bad where I am told to take it OFF. The other is my other one (I ordered 2 full packages of Dr Ho's) and it so far is working okay. It starts where both had always started, middle F in word OFF and when clicked on, it gradually goes to the 1 strength. Which is good.

I'm glad we had the chance to talk today, and hopefully we can work together to resolve the issue. I look forward to receiving your email on Tuesday or Wednesday.

As per our conversation, we both agreed that there was a refund of $39.99 on September 4th and another refund of $39.99 on September 28th. Now the only refund in dispute is the $40.31 that we cannot see on our system. As discussed, you will send us a copy of your statement showing this charge from our company, so that we can confirm and refund accordingly.
