This breeder is now advertising puppies on Kijiji/pet/dog/puppies selling Coton De Tulear puppies is an unethical and their puppies may potentially health issues that the puppies maybe carrying in their genes. They have bought a male Coton De Tulear from another breeder whom has had history of Cleft Palate with her puppy which is a very serious genetic defect/decease. Without taking serious considerations of the possible health risk their puppy may have and carry they continued to breed. The public should be aware of such unethical breeder who only care about their financial gain disregard the ethics and care to public in general. Stay away from such bad dog breeders.
This is a malicious unfounded complaint made by a breeder who has used to forum to further a personal vendetta against another breeder.
The facts are the mother of the pups is from this person making this complaint and the father of the pups is the stud from another breeder. The stud in question has had all the required genetic testing and recent health tests that show an exemplarily disposition. These tests are required to be registered with the Canine Federation of Canada. In fact the test show that this dog was superior to the female, regardless both are registered. This complaint is misleading as the causes of cleft palate are not solely a result of a genetic disorder moreover it can result from nutritional deficiencies, viruses, and poisons that affect the mother during pregnancy. All the tests and parents of the puppies can be viewed. The Cotons in Chemainus are from a small family breeder with only 2 dogs. The breeder who has written this complaint has proven to be very difficult to deal with. It is a shame that she has resort to such nonsense to control - it worthy to note that the complainant did not have the courage mention their name- but chose to hide behind a fake profile.
