Budget Savers / Sempris LLC review: Scam 2

A few months ago I ordered some tupperware off of the TV and in doing so I had to go through about 20 automated messages to try all of these different memberships including Budget Savers. After I would press or say the answer for NO it would keep repeating...Anyways I finally got through to the end where it wouldn't even let me speak with someone regarding my order (I got no confirmation # or a verification that the Visa # entered for my order) I was only given about 5 different #'s to call for this or that. When I finally got through to someone I was TOLD that I was automatically signed up for the Budget Savers as a requirement for my order and I would be charged a dollar. I was also given a # to call to cancel at anytime but I would still receive a $25 visa and $25 Wal-Mart gift card just for signing up (unwillingly). I called and cancelled immedietly and asked if I would still receive those cards within 24-72. I called about 3 weeks later because I still had not received those in the mail and was told that I was actually given the wrong information and it takes up to 12 weeks to process. I also confirmed with them that even though I had cancelled my membership I would still receive these. When I never received the cards I called back and was then told I had to fill out forms to get them. A few weeks later I did get the forms and filled them out. Then in another few weeks I got more forms (different ones, instead of the cards) to fill out to receive those cards, which I did. I also called the company and asked why I had to keep filling out different forms etc to get these cards I was guaranteed. I was then told the cards were being sent but it would take up to another 8-12 weeks. This product was ordered in Nov-Dec 2009. It is now July 2010 and I have yet to see the cards. I was not charged anything but the dollar because as soon as I was off of the phone after ordering I cancelled it with the number provided. I recently about a month ago ordered some shirts off of TV and have been wondering where these shirts were because they have not been shipped yet. I got a phone call from Budget Savers about a week ago and since the Visa is in my husbands name they spoke with him. They again have required us to "try" their budget Savers program again for a dollar or my order could not be shipped (I already paid for it and S&H) He has no clue about these things and did not write the phone number down to cancel. I just received, today, the mail about the Budget Savers and the company who actually runs or handles Budget Savers is called Sempris LLC (FYI). I am now worried that I am going to be charged the membership fee because they didn't call to say we were already signed up-without permission-until weeks after the order of the shirts (6/15/10). It is now coming to the 30 day "free" trial in a little over 2 days and if I get charged it will screw up my acct. The website they say to cancel anytime is called programstop.com which is not correct. That website is directed at the complaint sites for them-such as this one-instead of the actual cancellation site. I will have to try and call tomorrow and cancel but am worried because I don't know what my rights are regarding charges, if any, that are made if it overdraws my bank acct. Are they required to pay that also?

Same old story, same old song and dance. I was promised a $25 Visa Gift Card and a $25 Walmart Gift Card. They nicked me for $3.90 for my trial membership in their"saving clubs, " which were a scam. All they did was to send me a pack of advertising flyers, similar to the material Val Pack used to mail out. So, I cancelled, went to a webpage that didn't and still doesn't exist to claim my gift cards. After several phone calls and several weeks they sent out some post cards to claim my gift cards, so I filled them out, photocopied them and mailed them. I didn't receive my gift cards. (Surprise!) And so I filled a complaint with the BBB. After Sempris LLC sent insulting, degrading letters to the BBB, they washed their hands of it, Saying it was "resolved." No, it's NOT. It won't be resolved until I get the damned gift cards, as promised and advertised. I instructed the BBB if they weren't going to act on my behalf, effective this date June 27, 2016, forward my file to the Minnesota Attorney General's Office. Sempris LLC is obviously a scam and a sham, judging by the unhappy, lied to, consumers who had the misfortune to cross paths with these bottom feeders. I am willing to enter into a class action lawsuit against these liars. I am disappointed in the BBB. I thought that they would protect and defend consumers from thieves like Sempris LLC. I hate this company. No one deserves to be lied to and treated so poorly from this "company" that has absolutely no morals or scruples and doesn't have any concept of honesty, fairness and goodwill. How do you sleep, you pathological liars? Death to Sempris LLC!

Totally had the same experience as you with Sempris LLC. Got scammed in exactly the same way when trying to order a swivel sweeper...these companies have numerous marketing messages attached to the tv phone number you called and all you are trying to do is get a confirmation number from a real person who you are NEVER connected with. Frantically you keep trying as you have given your credit card information to an answering machine with no human feedback or confirmation! IT WAS FRIGHTENING TO ME. I have just begun to fight through the paperwork to get my refund which is $75 It started in JULY 2011 and I was hospitalized in August and did not get a chance to check my balances until September!
