At about 11:00pm on 9-25-12 I received a text from 43895 which said: “Microsoft account password reset code: 2556867″ Today 9-26-12 I received four more of these text messages with a different reset password code each time. I have also received about four automated phone call messages which said: “Once again your code is…..” I’ve done some research online and some websites have said that this is a legitimate phone call from godaddy.com or other websites but I’m not sure that is the case. In the last few days I have not requested any password changes. I did however list my phone number in a craigslist ad and I replied to some emails and I gave my phone number to someone who I thought was a legitimate buyer. Hopefully someone else will be able to shed some light on this and post more facts about these phone calls and texts.
Received 2 calls this morning from [protected]. I am retired, live in the Dominican Republic, and they called my 829 exchange Dominican Republic cell phone number. Hope it cost them some money to do this...
I looked up the phone number you posted and it looks like this caller has been making the rounds. http://www.callercenter.com/714-868-0120.html is just one of the websites where the phone number has been reported for phone call harassment.
With all those complaints, I wonder how this caller is still able to call.
Don't be fooled. The way I see it, it looks like it's one of the scammer's attempts for you to contact them or disclose your information. They're so good at bluffing. So be cautious about how you handle such calls and text messages.
