"Jonathan" drives up to our house unannounced with his nasty van with a lot of boxes and opens each one individually until i told him to stop it but he keeps opening and making piles. He eventually sold us 850 dollars of product. Later i find diseased "natural" beef in my freezer. He held our check for about 3 weeks and then cashed it on 11/10/13...When i call the message machine is "full" This Jonathan said if there was any "problem" to just call. I left a message and a week has went by and there are no replies or restitution of the green beef.

I thought I should write another post after my daughter and I were reimbursed over $1000 in chicken, seafood, and beef. Jonathan Koob, the owner was very understanding and came to pick up the meat from her house. We were reimbursed in full. Thank you Jonathan.

Since February 2016, neighbors in the Montavilla neighborhood located in Portland, OR have had "sales visits" from Jonathan Koob. He drives both a white and yellow 4 Seasons Foods branded vans. He doesn't wear a uniform but very casual clothes.

He'll park the van in the middle of the street and randomly run up to properties to "sell". He's reached into people's mail slots and uses very aggressive sales tactics to sell spoiled meat. He's also apparently entered people's homes looking around during these creepy sales visits.

We have evidence of Koobs at various locations known for heavy drug and vice activity. It's quite evident the vans and/or business are a decoy for the drug part of his operation. The yellow van has Oregon plates: 357-DZQ.

The white 4 Seasons Foods van was last seen parked in the McDonald's parking lot (8149 SE Stark and SE 82nd) in Portland, OR on July 1, 2016 at 11:40am. This parking lot has frequently has drug addicts and dealers. This man needs to be arrested and jailed for company fraud!

My daughter and I were in her garage when a man names Dometrie drove up in his van. The van was clearly marked 4 Seasons Foods. He was a fast talking, fast moving individual. He was opening boxes and showing us beef, chicken, and seafood in boxes. Claimed the beef was organic and grass fed. We were scammed. He even threw in the freezer from the back of his truck. I am embarrassed to say how much my Daughter put on her credit card, but it was well over $1000.00. She was on her way to the orthodontist, so she left me with him. He was friendly and emptied all boxes in to the freezer. He gave me a receipt with his phone number and told me to call him if we had any questions. He left, I stayed at my daughter's house for a couple more hours, then I left. When my daughter got home she called me. "Where are all the boxes that the meat came in?" I told her he emptied them and took them with her. She tried calling him, the phone number is disconnected. We both tried calling 4 Seasons Foods and they are closed. She is putting a hold on her credit card, and will be writing to them tomorrow, letting them know she is canceling the order. Apparently, there are 3 days for you to dispute or change your mind on the purchase. Don't fall for this sales pitch. We sure wish we hadn't.

4 Seasons Foods employee came to my doorstep and offered very good meat for sale. I went for money and asked him to wait but this guy entered my house and started looking around. Now I’m afraid that he might come back and rob me or something...

I just purchased a pack. Great deal. Very nice men. Will try the meat tomorrow and report back on the quality. But so far very pleased with the customer service. My mother has purchased meat from a salemen before, the meat was awesome. So I was not hesitate of doing the same.

Justin Sp:
Seeing as your review of the independent contractor is rather recent,
We would like more information from you if at all possible.
Name of individual that was unprofessional?
We strive to have the individuals representing the company, act in a PROFESSIONAL manner.
Being pushy, rude, demanding are not actions we support or encourage.
Assuming this person is still representing the company, a name or anymore information would be appreciated.
Thank you

To those concern about the initial complaint.
This family was satisfied with the exchange in product. It has been resolved.
They have purchased more products from Four Seasons Foods; even from the same driver.
To be clear, the company vehicle was a brand new 2013 Nissan NV van.
Holding the check was as per customers request. They were given the food in good faith that the check was good at the post date noted.
That being said,
We as a company are a little confused as to why this "complaint" was posted.
More confused as to why there was no follow up which includes the continued business they have with the company.
Understandably, they were upset at the 2 little boxes out of multiple cases (each containing 6 little boxes), that were "green" in color.
Jonathan followed up and made sure these boxes were replaced. Following this satisfactory outcome, more cases of meat were purchased.
Four Seasons Foods has independent contractors as our delivery /door to door workers.
We receive weekly shipments of our products from a supplier. Any issues with the meat is communicated to the supplier.
There are other meat companies around ( people often assume all of us are from the same company! ) and as one that has had happy, repeat customers since 1999, we would like to maintain our good standing with the public.
Hopefully, an updated review will be made by the customer, confirming this.
Thank you.
Any other issues/ questions, please feel free to contact us at the number listed .

Wow, pushiest sales person ever. Thought he was robbing me for about three seconds. Demanded $60 immediately. Lots of lies--grass-fed beef, better than new seasons, etc--just selling crappy meat wholesale. Really jarred by how aggressive this person was. Not even blaming him, people are desperate for work nowadays, but this is company seems mafia-ish.

I am surprised that unsolicited meat from a nasty van was bad. Who would have thought? Usually, that's where you get the best meat - from a guy driving a nasty van.
