Black dog hollow is a COVER band who does have some talented musicians playing in it. However; the guitar player does have an ego that far exceeds his ability. If black dog hollow was as good as their guitar player thought he & the band was, you would think they would be playing some original music by now (especially because they've been playing for so long). Maybe it's time they stepped up to the plate & got creative instead of playing the same old songs they have been for several years now. COVER bands are a dime a dozen- there are thousands of them out there. There certainly isn't any justifiable reason for arrogance from a decent, but not phenominal guitar player. It's time for a reality check for this guy- your claim to local fame is built upon someone else's material.

If you actually had a conversation with George, you'd realize that your impression is totally wrong! There is a huge difference between positive enthusiasm and ego. George is a very genuine and friendly person. Find him and have a chat in person.
Writing original music is NOT the "next step" in the progression of every cover band. These guys are just having fun in their spare time playing music together that they hope the local crowds will enjoy. That's it, no real goal beyond that for that band.
